Inside the metal fortress at Fadir Mine.
Chen Qi was burning the midnight oil, poring over the "enlightenment textbooks" he had brought back from the orphanage.
They were just three thin books, a few hundred pages at most.
But Chen Qi had read them back and forth over a dozen times, and he still found himself revisiting them.
It was just that much of what was recorded in these books was too profound, and Chen Qi didn't understand it at all.
But every time he read them, Chen Qi felt deeply shaken and a sense of joy.
So this became his favorite pastime in his spare moments. His need for sleep was minimal now, and he couldn't just waste time staring blankly into space.
On the side of his desk sat the [Steel Warrior].
