"The Ancestral Gods haven't responded."
The expression on the Flower Fairy's face instantly dimmed.
She knew it wasn't a lack of devotion on her part, but rather...
The Ancient Tree of Life was already teetering on the brink of death.
The Queen of Elves came over gently to support her and said, "It's not your fault, you needn't blame yourself."
Even so, a sorrowful emotion emanated from both of them.
It wasn't their fault; it was that this land was heading towards... exhaustion.
For a while.
Then the Queen of Elves asked the Flower Fairy, "Did you gain anything on this excursion?"
She had been in seclusion within the trunk until today.
During her seclusion, she was using her own understood origin to replenish the Ancient Tree of Life.
But it was like a drop of rain falling in a vast desert.
Yet, Her Majesty persisted and continued to do this.
"Yes."
A glimmer of light emerged in the dim eyes of the Flower Fairy.
"Yes?"
