The Fengling Space Gate is located in the most bustling part of the city center, where land is extremely valuable. Yet, a two-kilometer diameter area around the space gate is cordoned off, with no one allowed to approach easily.
Pedestrians approaching will be warned, or even directly detained.
Of course, those living nearby or passing pedestrians do not come to court trouble, as no one wants to be targeted by thousands of cannons.
