"Is this really the world from a thousand years ago?"
Hilia looked at the scene outside, utterly amazed.
Towering skyscrapers rose from the ground, and between them, dart-like sky cars flew swiftly.
Underground, roads crisscrossed, the streets were bustling with traffic and crowded with people.
Hilia could tell that everything, whether flying in the sky or running on the ground, did not use magic power. The unfamiliar girl couldn't figure out how they moved, only finding it very magical.
She turned to Rose, "So, Mr. Rose, this must be a dream, right? Magical machines, trains, and flying devices that operate without magic power—they can only exist in dreams!"
Rose chuckled, "I think it's you who's dreaming about some so-called future a thousand years ahead, forgetting reality in your imaginative free-spirited state. You look hungry, let me treat you to something to eat."
With that, Rose took Hilia to a small diner by the street and ordered a few simple stir-fries.
