Chapter 168 - Come One, I’ll Kill One; Come Two, I’ll Slay Them Both

No one knew how much time had passed when Roya's spiritual sense suddenly trembled, pulling him back out of the Warp.

At once, his perception leapt across the vast void, locking automatically onto the pyramid warship that had just entered the pirate world's solar system.

The Seventh Overlord—and his colossal pyramid-shaped space flagship—had finally arrived!

Roya glanced at his attribute panel and was astonished to discover that both Fortitude and Psionics had reached 5,200 during his time in the Warp!

After entering that realm, he had stopped deliberately refining potential points into psionics—yet somehow, the two attributes had spontaneously balanced themselves, advancing side by side.

Sweeping his perception once more, Roya calculated the flow of time in the pirate world: exactly fifty days had passed.

In those fifty days, he had drawn in four hundred attribute points from the Warp.

It might not sound dazzling, but from the perspective of endless, steady accumulation, it could only be described with four words: utterly terrifying.

"It's time to experience firsthand the power of five thousand points of combined attributes!"

With a flick of his spiritual perception, Roya's will spread unhindered, blanketing all of Mary Geoise.

The various factions had long since taken the Star Spirit's earlier replica pyramid as their military base. They were assembled there, constantly drilling, adapting to the new combat methods made possible by their hull-metal battle armor.

Now, as Roya's will enveloped the entire city, every single person felt as if he had appeared directly at their side.

They immediately ceased their work and training, standing upright in reverent awe.

Whitebeard, Kaido, Kizaru, and the other top-tier powerhouses were the ones who could most clearly sense the terrifying depth of Roya's perception at this moment.

Compared to before, it now seemed to carry an additional trait—one that could directly affect the very soul!

Fortunately, they were his subordinates, not his enemies. Otherwise, even this seemingly simple blanket of perception would have been enough to tear their souls apart!

This realization left them shaken and deeply humbled.

They had believed that, after more than a month of grueling cultivation, they might at least narrow the gap between themselves and Roya. Yet now they saw that he had already stepped into a realm utterly beyond their comprehension!

"Comrades," Roya's voice rang within the consciousness of every warrior, "our enemy has already reached the sun's orbit. At any moment, they will descend upon our heads! Are you ready to tear them apart?!"

His words instantly ignited a wildfire of battle fervor in every heart!

The pirates and revolutionaries roared wildly, brandishing their weapons.

"Crush these bastards!"

"Come one, I'll kill one! Come two, I'll slay them both!"

Meanwhile, the navy elites—who filled an entire level of the pyramid—displayed extraordinary discipline.

Without excess words, they donned their new standard-issue, blue-painted battle armor in silence, marched from their positions, and assembled in the great square, forming precise ranks.

Then, in perfect unison, they drew the standard chain-blade sabers from their backs and raised them aloft, shouting as one:

"Glory to Lord Roya!"

Fifty thousand elite marines entered a full state of combat readiness in an instant. No other movements, no wasted actions—awaiting only Roya's single command to unleash a devastating assault upon the enemy!

The Star Spirit's laughter echoed in Roya's mind, brimming with pride:

"These fifty thousand elite marines—I handpicked them myself, and each one has undergone simplified Primarch modification!"

"Their strength, stamina, and neural response have all been greatly enhanced—at least doubled compared to what they once were!"

"From now on, this will be the minimum recruitment standard. Once our energy reserves grow, I'll provide you with true Imperial Primarch super-soldiers!"

The planet's terrain had already been completely reshaped: a vast central continent, surrounded by over a hundred near-shore islands, occupying the most habitable climate zones, with natural resources distributed with perfect balance.

All this made it clear why the Star Spirit could make such bold promises!

Roya said:

"Excellent. You've worked hard. Now, prepare for battle—I can already sense the enemy ship brewing a violent energy reaction. Their ranged attack is about to begin!"

At the edge of the sun, the pyramid warship advanced swiftly, deceptively fast despite its immense bulk, racing toward the pirate star.

As it moved, its structure shifted, rearranging locally.

In just a few seconds, a massive cannon barrel—over a kilometer long and more than ten meters thick—extended from beneath the command deck.

The blazing ion flows surging on the sun's surface were drawn forth by invisible force, funneled into the weapon's maw, where they compressed and condensed without pause.

Within Roya's perceptive vision, he could even see a golden stream of solar ions stretched like a radiant tether between the pyramid warship and the sun—magnificent beyond words!

On the pirate star, billions of ordinary civilians were stirred by a mysterious, instinctive resonance. They poured from their homes, shielding their eyes against the blinding sunlight, gazing skyward.

Those with keen eyesight could even glimpse it: beside the sun, an abrupt green speck had appeared.

Though tiny, the green speck radiated a dreadful, oppressive aura that gnawed at the heart. Worse, its area was slowly, steadily expanding.

Suddenly, a point of light flared upon the green mark!

Its brilliance blazed so fiercely that it even outshone the sun itself!

The Seventh Overlord gazed upon the approaching blue planet, gauging the intensity of the star-killer cannon's gathered solar ions. Smug with confidence, he cast a psionic transmission toward the pirate star.

"Little whelp—I have come in person! This shot is but an appetizer. Can you withstand it?!"

The indiscriminate psionic shockwave, though delivered mainly as a transmission, was already far beyond what ordinary civilians could endure.

If allowed to sweep across the pirate star, the populace would suffer catastrophic soul-trauma. The weak among them would have their very spirits shattered—irreparably, forever.

Roya snorted coldly, unleashing his perception to raise a protective barrier, intercepting the psionic blast.

The Seventh Overlord laughed uproariously, slapping the armrest of his throne:

"A child is still a child! In the endless cosmos, who has time for such womanly compassion? These ants—life or death, existence or annihilation—can you truly save them all?!"

"Careful you don't bury yourself with them!"

Even as his mocking transmissions battered forth, the Planet-Breaker cannon fired!

The hyper-compressed solar ions, dense to near solidity, accelerated through the kilometer-long barrel—until they erupted at near-light speed!

A searing white brilliance, bright enough to dim the sun itself, tore open the void between sun and pirate star—hurling itself at the world below!

In an instant, the white light expanded, matching the size of the pirate star itself.

Raging torrents of incandescent plasma surged forward, like colossal claws of energy dragging the planet into an abyss of annihilation!
