Chapter 356 - Chapter 352: Sacred heart

"That weight," she continued,"is sacredness and holiness."

"Without them, faith is nothing but exploitation."

"With your mentality," she concluded,"you will never comprehend true belief."

Her words cut deeper than any blade.

Poseidon harvested the faith of sea soul beasts, yet he had never protected them.

His so-called Sea God Island even acted as a barrier— isolating the Douluo Continent, preventing mortals from exploring the seas beyond.

Faith, to him, was merely a tool.

Poseidon shook his head. His fury twisted abruptly into laughter.

"Enough of your preaching," he said derisively.

"You have already broken the rules of the God Realm by descending here."

"Asura has severed this plane's connection entirely," Poseidon continued, his laughter growing louder.

"No one in the God Realm knows you are here anymore."

"And you," he sneered, "are suppressed by planar laws."

"How do you plan to deal with the Abyss now?"

His laughter echoed one last time—

And then, his divine consciousness dispersed, scattering into nothingness

The history of this era would eventually be blurred, fragmented, and deliberately obscured by the gods.

Records would be altered and truth would be buried.

Yet for the beings who lived within this time, none of them wavered.

They continued to move forward—step by step—toward hope.

Their will to resist the Abyssal invasion never faltered. The humans made coalitions to fight against the massive armies of Abyssal plane, though many sacrificed they worked together.

Even as the sky darkened and the land cracked beneath demonic corruption, the prayers of mortals rose unbroken. Those prayers did not scatter aimlessly—they converged, unified by instinct and belief.

They pointed toward a single existence.

High above the battlefield, floating between heaven and earth, was the Angel Goddess.

She flew through the sky on six radiant wings, her figure standing in stark contrast to the encroaching darkness.

In that gradually dying world, she seemed to be the only remaining source of light.

Slowly, she extended her hand.

Faith surged.

Not only from humans, but even from countless soul beasts—those who had once feared gods, yet now entrusted her with their survival. Threads of belief, pure and blazing, converged upon her from every corner of the Douluo Continent.

She murmured softly, her voice carrying through heaven and earth:

"I receive the faith of all under this sky…" "…and with my heart, I return it to the world."

She knew the price.

She knew that after unleashing this power, her divinity would be severely weakened, her origin shaken.

Yet she did not hesitate.

"Sacred Heart."

Light exploded, a blinding, all-encompassing radiance tore through the Douluo World, transcending distance and obstruction, directly striking the planar channel that connected the Abyssal to this realm.

The Abyssal plane screamed.

The connection trembled violently, demonic energy burning and collapsing under the holy onslaught.

At that same moment—

In the God Realm.

Poseidon, Rakshasa, and Asura—who were in the midst of plotting the Angel Goddess's downfall—were suddenly shaken by the surge of power.

Poseidon's expression changed drastically.

"This level of power…" he said in disbelief, his pupils shrinking.

"It's frighteningly close to the God King level."

Rakshasa did not speak.

She merely smiled—a cold, venomous curve of the lips.

Her hatred for the Angel Goddess ran deep; their attributes were absolute opposites—light and corruption, sanctity and depravity. The stronger the Angel Goddess became, the more intolerable her existence was to Rakshasa.

Asura, however, said nothing.

He only narrowed his eyes, his gaze sharpening like a blade.

-----

Qian renxue woke up from her dream like state after watching the true history that was distorted later by the Gods, she did not show much emotion

She carefully savored the deeper meaning behind Sacred and Holy authority—

the truth spoken by the Angel Goddess, now echoing clearly within her own consciousness.

At this very moment, she felt that she has now truly accepted the Angel Goddess's identity—

and she herself was now the Angel Goddess walking upon the Douluo Continent.

Standing alone within the devastated crater, she lifted her gaze toward the sky.

Rubble and scorched earth surrounded her, forming a stark contrast to her radiant figure. As her holy power gently flared, the lingering traces of oceanic divine aura left behind by Poseidon were silently purified, evaporating like mist beneath sunlight.

She thought calmly:

'The power of Holiness is the power of the Angel Goddess.

Poseidon was able to usurp that authority and even wield it… yet he never truly understood it.'

'Holiness was never domination. It was response.'

The origin of that power unfolded clearly in her mind.

'The power of Holiness was born during the Dark Era—when humanity cried out in despair.

It was shaped by the Angel Goddess answering those wishes. The belief of humans in that era forged her into the light that tore apart the darkness.'

Only now did she truly grasp it.

As she fully received the anchor of the Angel Goddess's faith, her thoughts became unusually clear—sharp and transparent.

At the same time, she finally perceived the terrifying nature of the Beyonder path.

That unconscious weaving of layered schemes, contingency upon contingency.

It had already begun to influence her thinking far more deeply than she had realized.

She exhaled slowly.

'This time…I want some of the characters to act freely within my script. I really want to see what kind of different flowers they will make bloom.'

She looked toward the setting sun, its dying light stretching across the ruined land.

Her voice was soft—yet carried an unshakable certainty.

"The sun has set, creating a brief moment of darkness…"

Her lips curved faintly.

"But a new sun will rise—and it will be far more terrifying than before."
