Thirty-two Flabébé and three Floette.
From the look of them, they had all been born this spring.
Thinking about it carefully, how exactly were Flabébé born?
After all, Pokémon like Florges were an all-female species. Their reproduction method was probably a form of asexual reproduction, much like Metagross or Chansey.
When the little flower fairies saw Lin Feng enter the garden, they didn't panic. Instead, they peeked out from among the blossoms and looked at him curiously.
"Hello there~" Lin Feng greeted them with a smile.
The Flabébé exchanged glances with one another. Finally, one brave little Flabébé floated forward.
"Flabébé?"
"Then I'll leave the flowers in this garden to all of you~"
Lin Feng spoke softly as he gently stroked the tiny Pokémon's flower.
"Flabébé? Flabébé~"
The little Pokémon immediately broke into a happy smile and called out to the others behind her.
Very quickly, a large group of Flabébé floated over, circling around Lin Feng.
One after another, they chirped happily.
"Flabébé... Flabébé..."
They had already been living here for several days.
From the Indeedee siblings, they had learned that the flowers in this garden belonged to someone.
That person was the human standing before them now.
At first, they had worried whether the owner of the garden would allow them to stay.
After hearing Lin Feng's words, all those concerns vanished instantly.
"Alright, alright..."
Seeing the cheerful little Pokémon surrounding him, Lin Feng couldn't help but laugh.
Recently, things around the ranch really seemed to be getting better and better.
"Woof!"
Suddenly, a loud bark startled the nearby Flabébé.
The little flower Pokémon scattered in every direction before turning to look toward the source of the sound.
When they realized it was Arcanine, they relaxed again.
Lin Feng also turned around.
Soon, he saw a handsome tiger-striped Arcanine emerging from the barn, tongue hanging out as it looked at him excitedly.
"Arcanine?! Hey, hey, hey..."
Before he could even finish greeting it, Arcanine shot forward like a whirlwind.
In the blink of an eye, it was already right in front of him.
Judging from its momentum, it was clearly about to pounce on him just like Alolan Ninetales often did.
Fortunately, Lin Feng immediately raised a hand.
"No jumping! No jumping!"
"Woof!"
At the last second, Arcanine forcibly stopped itself.
Then it obediently sat down in front of him.
"Hm?"
Lin Feng blinked in surprise before his eyes lit up.
Arcanine had been born not too long ago, and with so many Pokémon currently living at the ranch, he hadn't had the time to properly train it or teach it commands.
In the past, even if he told Growlithe not to jump on him, the energetic little Pokémon would still paw at his pants out of excitement.
That had been manageable before evolution.
Now?
Not so much.
An evolved Arcanine weighed close to two hundred kilograms and stood nearly two meters tall.
If it jumped on him, it wasn't something he could simply lift up like Alolan Ninetales.
If anything, he would be the one getting lifted.
Had Officer Jenny trained it?
"Woof!" Arcanine barked excitedly.
"Hm?"
Lin Feng's expression brightened even further.
"You've been chatting with Officer Jenny's Growlithe? Come on, tell me everything."
"Woof..."
Arcanine cautiously glanced around.
It was clearly worried that other Pokémon might overhear.
"Let's go, let's go, let's go..."
The scent of gossip instantly hooked Lin Feng.
Without hesitation, he led Arcanine toward the barn, determined to get the full story.
"Woof~"
That evening...
"Brewing it is. Looks like brewing is my only option."
Staring at the berry stockpile that had only shrunk by one-tenth despite hours of work, Lin Feng sighed helplessly.
His head was starting to ache.
No matter how many Pokéblocks they made, the berries never seemed to run out.
Recently, however, the consumption of honey wine had increased significantly.
Mainly because he had annoyed Giratina quite a few times.
At present, only around one hundred and twenty barrels remained.
Although honey wine tasted different from berry wine, Lin Feng felt that if it was for Giratina, the difference probably wouldn't matter much.
The most abundant berries in his fields right now were Oran Berries, Pecha Berries, Sitrus Berries, and Leppa Berries, along with smaller quantities of rarer varieties.
Among them, Oran and Sitrus Berries were known for restoring stamina and helping wounds recover.
Pecha Berries neutralized poison.
Leppa Berries helped alleviate paralysis.
Of all these berries, Oran and Pecha Berries had by far the highest production rates.
The problem was that brewing wine from them took considerably longer than brewing honey wine.
Pecha Berry wine required aging, typically for one to three months.
Oran Berry wine took even longer.
Still, the berries were sitting there anyway.
He might as well put them to use.
The last thing he wanted was for the honey wine supply to run dry and leave Giratina without anything to drink.
That would be a disaster.
"Sigh... more work. More work..."
With that thought, Lin Feng continued working.
Over the next two days, he remained in the kitchen alongside Gardevoir, Latias, and Indeedee.
Part of their time was spent making Pokéblocks.
At one point, he even dragged Mewtwo into a full day of manual labor.
Only after that did Mewtwo finally manage to escape by challenging Giratina to a battle.
Naturally, the result was Giratina's victory.
There was no helping it.
Giratina couldn't enter the real world to fight, so Mewtwo had to travel to the Distortion World instead.
Even after following Lin Feng's advice and stacking multiple Calm Mind boosts before the battle, Mewtwo still couldn't defeat Giratina.
However, according to Giratina, Mewtwo had become noticeably stronger compared to their previous encounter.
The only question was when Mewtwo would finally obtain the opportunity to Mega Evolve.
Unfortunately, even Lin Feng had no answer to that.
At the same time, the brewing operation continued.
It wasn't until March 27 that everything was finally brought under control.
Early on the morning of March 27, the neighboring ranch reopened for business.
Even before the gates opened, the entrance was already bustling with activity.
More than a dozen early customers had lined up outside.
The moment the doors opened, they entered in an orderly stream.
"Finally! It's open again! Brother Lin, you're finally back!"
"Haha, my Sceptile is saved!"
"By the way, Brother Lin, where did you go? You disappeared for more than ten days. I heard something huge happened in Kanto recently. Most of Team Rocket got arrested. Don't tell me you were involved?"
"Actually, that's possible. Brother Lin vanished right when it happened, and now the League isn't accepting any products connected to Team Rocket."
Several customers crowded around the counter, excitedly discussing recent events.
Meanwhile, Lin Feng could already feel cold sweat forming.
"No way. Who would randomly travel all the way to Kanto for something like that... right, Brother Lin?"
One customer turned toward him with a teasing grin.
At that moment, only one thought remained in Lin Feng's mind.
Please stop guessing randomly!
