Vaelen felt the presence behind him and turned his head slightly. Seeing Ethan holding onto the ship's metallic hull while the abyssal wind roared around him, a spark of surprise crossed his gray eyes, only to be replaced by a stern scowl.
"I told you to stay inside, brat," Vaelen shouted, having to raise his voice over the spatial din. "If you disintegrate out here, your little princess will blame me for the rest of my life."
"Worry about your own skin, old man," Ethan replied with a defiant smirk, tightening his grip on his black sword. "It seems this environment likes to bite."
Before Vaelen could respond, a deafening roar vibrated through the violet stream. Three colossal Void Worms charged simultaneously from the left flank, their maws bristling with circular teeth gaping wide to swallow part of the White-Sea Dragon's hull.
"Nuisances!" Vaelen bellowed.
