Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5: Power isn't Enough

29 November 2114 (Neelvan Sumedh's class)

The classroom was quiet — just the soft clicking of a pen and the gentle hum of the old fan. Outside, the sun filtered through cracked windows, casting thin shadows across the dusty desks.

Sumedh's pencil paused on the paper.

He'd solved the physics problem. A clean equation, perfect steps. But his eyes lingered on the final answer.

Something didn't sit right.

"Sir?" he asked, raising his head.

Mr. Vedant Trinetra, standing by the chalkboard, looked up from a stack of notebooks. "Yes?"

"…Why are we even learning physics?" Sumedh asked. "I mean… I've already awakened Swar. And I'm preparing for the military entrance exam. Isn't that just about how strong your powers are?"

The question wasn't defiant. It was genuine — quiet and thoughtful.

Mr. Vedant Trinetra didn't answer immediately. He walked slowly to the window, looked outside for a moment, then turned back.

"Do you know what Swar really is, Sumedh?"

"It's energy, right?" Sumedh replied. "Our inner flow. Our force."

"Yes," Trinetra nodded. "But force, like anything else, has direction. It has scale. It has consequence. Swar obeys physics. It's not some fairy-tale magic that bends the world. It enhances the world."

He pointed at the notebook in Sumedh's hand.

"You calculated momentum on paper. Now imagine applying Swar force on a moving object — without knowing how momentum works. You'll overshoot. Overkill. Or miss entirely."

Sumedh was quiet.

Trinetra continued, "You think the military wants strong people? No. They want precise ones. Controlled ones. A Swar user who doesn't understand physics is like giving a loaded weapon to a child."

"…But I've never seen anyone use Uchcha Swar," Sumedh said suddenly, shifting the topic. "I mean… we study it like it's real. But I've never met anyone who could use it."

Trinetra smirked, like he'd been waiting for that.

"Who do you think is the strongest Swar user?"

Sumedh blinked. "I don't know… someone in the military?"

"Exactly," Trinetra said. "You don't see Uchcha Swar — because it's above you. Quiet. Invisible. Controlled. The strongest don't show their power. They don't need to."

"You have seen someone using Uchcha Swar?" Sumedh asked.

Mr.Trinetra answers after a while "Maybe someday we both will see"

Sumedh looked down at his desk for a moment, then back up.

His voice was softer now. Almost reluctant.

"…You ever watched Spiderman?"

Trinetra raised an eyebrow. "Yes."

"Peter Parker hides his identity. He saves people from the shadows. But at least… people know Spiderman exists. They cheer for him."

A pause.

"…We save people too. We just vanish afterward. No one even knows we were there."

His throat caught slightly. "That's the kind of squad I'll be joining, right.

Trinetra looked at him for a long second.

"Spiderman doesn't exist in real life, Sumedh."

"I know," he said, eyes distant. "But I wish someone like him did."

Trinetra's voice softened. "Maybe

someone like you will."
