Of all of his companions, the one that made the least sense to Cain was Mira. She was a blacksmith and rough around the edges but compared to the rest of the girls, she was by far the most ladylike in demeanor.
Of course, he was also aware that she was someone who liked to dress 'lightly' and was obsessed with equipment to a degree when she was working, it was a set of quirk that was less draining on his mental health in comparison to an alcoholic, addiction to scents, or the chaos gremlin.
So it was even more confusing for Cain when Mira started acting strangely. His first thought was that Mira had snapped...That her choice of friends had made the sanest girl in his group finally go off the deep end, leaving him as the sole voice of reason....which was a problem in its own right!.
