Elec snapped his fingers, and the second captured alien was shoved in front of Toronbo.
After witnessing a living person's life burn out in an instant, the slave was trembling like a leaf. He couldn't even hold steady the note Macki handed him.
"P-Please… let Granolah's talent… become the greatest in the universe…"
He stuttered through the wish written on the paper.
Toronbo's voice carried not the slightest trace of emotion.
"That wish… also exceeds my capabilities. Even placing someone in the top ten in talent would be difficult for me."
Elec had expected that. His expression didn't ripple.
Toronbo's tone shifted.
"However, I can compensate in other ways. If you completely burn away your life, then depending on how much lifespan you consume, I can transfer the entirety of your potential, and strengthen it within Granolah."
"I… I…" The slave turned back to Elec, eyes full of pleading.
Elec only stared at him coldly. "Think of your people."
The slave shut his eyes in despair. "I agree."
A red gleam flashed again, and the same scene played out almost exactly as before.
The alien's life force was drained in an instant. His body withered, decayed, and in the end, all that remained on the ground was a pinch of gray-white dust.
Far away in another star sector, Granolah was feeling the vast surge of life energy inside him.
"My lifespan… seems to have increased a lot. What price did Elec pay for this?" he wondered.
Then suddenly, a strange sensation rose from deep within. His understanding of combat, his control over energy, vaulted to an entirely new level.
Techniques he had never learned… appeared in his mind as if he'd mastered them for years.
"What is this… Elec?"
The communicator connected, and Elec's reply came through.
"A long life, and the talent worthy of the greatest in the universe. How does it feel, Granolah? Don't you feel one step closer to your revenge?"
"Talent… so this is what 'the greatest' talent feels like?"
Granolah clenched his fist. But the joy didn't last long.
The footage of the full tournament recording surfaced again in his mind, especially that monster named Puar. The overwhelming force shown there still pressed on his heart like a mountain.
"Elec, I'm grateful. But I…" Granolah's voice hesitated. "I feel like it's still not enough. Compared to that Saiyan named Puar… I'm still short by a lot."
Elec's tone remained calm, detached.
"Relax. For justice, I'll see this through to the end."
At the Heeter headquarters, Elec summoned Toronbo for the third time.
Another slave was pushed forward. After reading the note, he recited the words dully, as if his soul had already left him.
"Make Granolah… the greatest warrior in the universe…"
"Still cannot be fully realized," Toronbo answered, as expected. "I can only compensate as best I can."
The alien's life turned to dust.
Far away, Granolah felt his body flooded with a force he had never known existed.
Power. Endless power.
He could feel his battle power skyrocketing wildly, multiplying again and again, as if it had broken all restraint.
When the growth finally slowed, Granolah forced himself calm.
He was strong now. Very strong.
He was confident he could crush the Frieza from the video with ease.
But…
Against Puar, he still wasn't fully certain.
"Elec, it's still not enough!" Granolah's voice carried frustration and impatience. "I can feel it… at best, I can only fight that Puar to a draw…"
"So it's reached that point…" On the other end, Elec seemed to fall silent in thought. After a moment, as if making a decision, he said, "Granolah, I have one more method. But the cost… you may have to pay it yourself."
"Any cost is fine!" Granolah didn't hesitate.
"Good."
The fourth slave was dragged before Elec.
This time, Elec personally placed a new note into the man's shaking hands.
The slave read the words, voice quivering:
"Please let Granolah… gain the ability to increase his strength by consuming his own lifespan!"
This time, Toronbo didn't hesitate.
"That wish can be granted."
A red light flashed. The slave remained unharmed, and he burst into tears of relief.
At the same moment, far away, Granolah felt as if a switch had been installed between his body and soul, something he could flip at will.
Toronbo's voice echoed directly inside his mind.
"The wish has been granted. You may gain power through burning your lifespan. Your total lifespan is currently approximately twelve hundred years."
Twelve hundred years?
Granolah froze, then understood what Elec had meant by "the cost."
Cerealians weren't a long-lived race. A normal life was only around two hundred years.
The extra thousand… must have been granted by Elec through Toronbo.
Elec had planned everything, down to the last detail.
But Granolah didn't care what Elec had done, or how long he could live.
His mind contained only revenge.
"Power… I need power! Burn for me!"
Granolah roared.
In an instant, he felt his life force draining violently, and with it came a savage increase in power that tore past his limits.
Ten years. Fifty. A hundred…
Five hundred… Eight hundred…
Granolah's eyes were bloodshot. He had no intention of stopping.
There was only one thought in his head:
Surpass Puar. Surpass every last one of them.
Nine hundred… A thousand…
Twelve hundred!
Boom!
A spaceship shattered, and the entire star sector trembled.
When his lifespan compressed down to just three years, the outflow of life energy stopped abruptly.
"From this moment on… I am the greatest warrior in the universe!"
Granolah gasped for breath.
The only thing that brought him comfort now was the unprecedented strength surging through his veins.
"Frieza… Saiyans…!"
He raised his head. His figure ripped through space and shot toward Earth like a meteor.
"Earth… I'm coming!"
Back at the Heeter headquarters, Elec wore a satisfied smile.
"A very good test subject." His lips curled into a cold grin. "This method is several times more efficient than anything we used before."
He turned to his siblings.
"Now it's our turn."
Elec summoned Toronbo again, his gaze settling on the alien who thought he'd escaped.
"Being allowed to make two wishes is an honor."
Using the same process, Elec granted himself, Gas, Oil, and Macki life, talent, battle power, and the ability to burn lifespan for greater strength.
However, unlike Granolah, they weren't in a hurry to burn their lives.
"Elec… are we really doing this to rule the universe?" Macki couldn't help asking.
"Of course." Elec walked to the window and looked down at the enslaved planet below. "The Saiyan Empire. Cooler. Moro… we'll eliminate them one by one."
He paused, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.
"My first target is Frieza. Once Granolah takes care of him and the other fighters, we'll seize Earth."
"Seize Earth?"
"I asked Toronbo about Earth's secret." Greed filled Elec's voice. "That planet that looks so insignificant… actually has two sets of Dragon Balls stronger than the Cerealian Dragon Balls. It even has a sacred training ground called the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."
"Those… are the real treasures."
Macki understood instantly.
"So you're sending Granolah to Earth as a probe, to test how deep those Earth fighters really are?"
"Not just that." Elec sneered. "He'll cause chaos on Earth. Best case, he forces those Saiyans to bleed each other dry. When both sides are exhausted…"
"We harvest the spoils."
"Granolah is a perfect piece."
Everything… was unfolding exactly as he calculated.
"It's time to depart for Earth." A ruthless light flickered in Elec's eyes. "Oil, bring all the 'lifespan stock' with us. On the way, we can keep using them to extend our lives."
At the Lookout, everyone listened in silence as Bardock told the story of the Saiyan Empire.
"About fifty years ago, Paragus and his son… coupled with countless aliens, producing endless offspring."
"After that, he found a space where time flowed differently from the outside world. His hybrid descendants reproduced endlessly within it."
"With Saiyan blood granting extreme combat power, Paragus's forces expanded at terrifying speed."
"Thirty years ago, Paragus faced his greatest crisis. A purple cat searching for the Super Saiyan God came to him by some so-called prophecy, killed Broly… and left."
"After that, Paragus quietly accumulated strength for revenge. He used Tuffle technology to mass-produce Bio-Broly."
"Eventually, he brought back King Vegeta III's second son, Tarble, and the Saiyan Empire rose from the ashes, conquering worlds at a horrifying pace."
The story left everyone shaken.
Levos frowned. "Broly… was killed?"
"Of course not." Bardock sneered. "In truth, after that battle, Broly survived through sheer vitality. But even with the best medical equipment, his injuries never healed. He remained in a deep coma, hovering on the brink of death."
"After searching the universe for a cure and finding nothing, Paragus sealed him in ice within that breeding space, hoping Broly's survival instinct and regeneration would eventually force him awake."
"They say… a thousand years have already passed inside that space."
Levos's brows knit tighter. A bad feeling crawled up his spine.
"Broly has been tormented by Beerus's destruction energy for a thousand years… and still hasn't died?"
The Earth fighters had felt the crushing pressure of Dark Broly from other timelines. They had also fought Bio-Broly. No one here underestimated how terrifying Broly could be.
Frieza reacted instantly, practically flinching. "Levos, Broly absolutely cannot be allowed to wake up! A thousand years in a near-death state… do you know what that means for a Saiyan?"
Of course Levos knew. Everyone did.
Beerus had truly brought disaster upon them.
For the sake of some flimsy prophecy, he might have personally forged a monster that surpassed even himself.
A God of Destruction Broly…
Just thinking about it was horrifying.
"Paragus will do anything to forge stronger imperial warriors," Bardock said grimly. "Like the Fruit of the Tree of Might. Ever since he obtained the seed, countless planets have been turned into wastelands. And for those two female Saiyans, he's willing to ignite a war between universes…"
Everyone could see it clearly.
Paragus was ambition given flesh.
"We must prepare for the worst," Piccolo warned. "If Paragus is rushing to capture Caulifla and Kale, there's another possibility…"
"Broly may already be awake."
"And Puar must be careful too," Bardock added. "Paragus won't let any Saiyan woman with potential slip away."
Bardock's years inside the Saiyan Empire gave their fear a sharp, concrete shape.
Yet the tension didn't last long.
Earth's strength now was nothing like before.
"What are we afraid of?" Yamcha broke the silence first. "Now we're all Saiyans! If anyone dares cause trouble on Earth, we'll send them back in pieces!"
"Perfect," Tien said, steady and composed. "We need real combat to test what we've just gained."
Their confidence wasn't blind arrogance.
Even putting others aside, Gohan, Bardock, and Piccolo alone could stand on their own now.
And with Levos sitting at the center…
"I'm not worried about anything inside Universe 7." Levos's voice was calm. "No matter where something happens, I can arrive instantly."
That kind of confidence was real now.
After discussion, everyone agreed the most urgent priority was stopping Paragus's move against Caulifla and Kale.
"No matter what, Universe 6's Saiyans actively join peacekeeping operations and fight crime. They stand on the side of justice."
"We have to help them!" Goku declared.
"But how do we get to Universe 6?" Bulma asked the key question. "We don't have someone like Whis who can freely move between universes."
Even Levos looked troubled.
Crossing the barrier between universes was still a wall he couldn't break.
If he wanted to go himself, he'd likely still need Vados… or that transparent cube-shaped ship.
He couldn't just appear anywhere he wanted the way he could within Universe 7.
Piccolo sighed. "Then we can only send people… using the cube shuttle."
"But who's suitable to go?"
Bardock said he wanted to stay with Gine. The other Earth fighters were eager to get used to their newly acquired Saiyan bloodline.
Levos exhaled softly. Looks like he'd have to send the little Cell over.
"Hmph. Since none of you want to go, then I'll do it." Frieza folded his arms, chin lifted, arrogance returning to his face. "I'll handle it."
Everyone exchanged glances.
The atmosphere turned… strangely complicated.
