She was speaking to the Eternal Queen directly.
"I'll admit it—when I first saw you, I was terrified! You were the nightmare that haunted my dreams for years! Even though the world celebrates us for defeating you, only we know how lucky we were to do what we did! The fear never really went away!"
She sneered, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
"But do you really think that fear is going to last forever?! You think you can hold us hostage for the rest of our lives?!"
"Fuck off, you ancient bitch! Get away from my son and never come near him again!"
Fauna joined in, her voice shaking but determined.
'I don't know how you're doing this. You're supposed to be dead, we made sure you were dead. But here you are, whispering in my son's ear like some kind of parasite."
Her smile grew sharper. "But I'll tell you what hasn't changed since the last time we met: we still won't break. We never did. And we never will!"
Nadia's voice was cold and steady.
