Chapter 96 - Sincerity

On the other side of the shattered courtyard, the clash between the two Heavenly Dragons reached a desperate, terrifying crescendo.

Issei Hyoudou, pushed to the absolute limits of his mortal body, made a reckless gamble. With a guttural scream, he forcefully absorbed a portion of Vali's power, injecting the volatile, opposing energy directly into his own system. The resulting surge of power was immense, allowing him to finally land a devastating blow on the White Dragon Emperor, but the cost was visible. Issei's life force burned away at a terrifying rate, shaving massive margins off his lifespan just to survive the exchange.

Vali recovered, wiping a trail of blood from his lip. His silver eyes darkened with genuine battle-lust. He raised his hands, preparing to unleash the apocalyptic, sanity-draining power of his Juggernaut Drive.

But before the chant could leave his lips, a figure in a tailored suit stepped seamlessly out of the dimensional shadow cast by Ophis. He held an elegant, sheathed sword at his side.

"That is enough, Vali,Bikou" Arthur Pendragon said, his voice calm and cultured, cutting through the roaring winds of the battlefield. Both don't seem to listen to him. He turned to the Infinite Dragon God hovering nearby. "It is time for us to leave this place. We are initiating the attack on the Greek frontline. Please call Bikou and Vali back."

Ophis gave a slow, vacant nod. "Vali. Bikou. Let's go back."

Across the courtyard, Bikou, clad in his glowing golden chainmail, had just braced his staff to clash with Jin's newly awakened Mangekyou Sharingan. Hearing the command of the Dragon God, the monkey yokai halted. He looked back at Ophis, then at Arthur, and clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Lucky break, human," Bikou grumbled, resting the staff on his shoulder. "We'll finish this later."

With a leap, Bikou bounded across the rubble, joining Vali as the Chaos Brigade retreated into the dimensional tear, vanishing from Kuoh Academy entirely.

As the spatial rift sealed shut, the heavy, suffocating tension finally broke. The reactions of the VIPs were sharply divided by the two impossible spectacles they had just witnessed.

Rias Gremory let out a choked sob. She and her peerage immediately rushed across the cratered earth toward Issei, who had collapsed into the rubble, his body steaming and seizing from the toxic backlash of Vali's power. Azazel and Sirzechs Lucifer hurried over to the Red Dragon Emperor. Sona Sitri and her peerage flanked them, immediately attempting to stabilize the perimeter.

However, on the opposite side of the battlefield, the attention of Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Michael, and Serafall Leviathan was fixed firmly in the other direction.

They were staring at Jin.

Jin blinked, the intricate pinwheel design of his Mangekyou fading back to his normal, dark irises. He rolled his shoulders, ignoring the stares of the deities, and began making his way toward the gathered group.

He stopped a few yards away from the Devil contingents tending to Issei.

"Sitri," Jin called out, his voice flat and commanding.

Sona, who was currently directing her peerage, turned around. Her brow twitched in annoyance at the blatant lack of honorifics. Rude! she thought.

Before Sona could answer, Serafall gasped dramatically and pointed a finger at her own chest. "Me!?" she squealed , who pose like a magical girl but right now she was in suit. "You need my help, Jin-kyun?!"

Sona and Jin both stared at the Serafall in deadpan silence.

"You are a Leviathan," Jin pointed out bluntly.

Sona sighed, rubbing her temples. "I hate to agree with him, Sister, but he is right. You are not a Sitri anymore." She turned her sharp gaze back to Jin. "So, what do you want, Jin Kazuma?"

"Tomorrow, I am going to bring a new student to the academy," Jin said casually, as if he hadn't just fought mythological Sun wukong reincarnation. "Can you take care of the admission process?"

Sona adjusted her glasses, slipping back into her role as Student Council President. "Is it someone from the supernatural side? If so, yes, it is my duty to manage the supernatural elements of Kuoh Town. Come to the office tomorrow morning, half an hour before the first bell." She paused, her curiosity piqued. "May I ask who it is?"

Serafall gasped again, her eyes sparkling with realization. "Oh! Is it who I think it is?!"

Jin turned and began walking away, offering a lazy wave over his shoulder. "Call Rias into the office with you as well. And yes, Serafall, you have the right idea."

"Who is it, Sister?" Sona demanded, looking at the Leviathan.

Serafall giggled, placing a finger over her lips. "Oh, I think it's going to be a very good surprise."

As Jin made his way toward the academy gates to head home, three figures blurred into existence, blocking his path.

Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi stood before him, soon joined by a composed Sirzechs Lucifer, who had temporarily stepped away from Issei's side.

Jin stopped annoyance flaring, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Looks like you guys have something to say."

"Your power," Amaterasu demanded, her golden eyes practically burning with intensity. "That 'Ninjutsu.' Who did you learn it from?"

"No one, Goddess," Jin replied easily.

Tsukuyomi narrowed his eyes, dropping his usual laid-back demeanor. "Don't lie to us, boy. That was a highly structured, fully realized system of energy manipulation. And from the look of it, many humans could theoretically learn it. With a system like that, the Japanese Yokai faction could become exponentially stronger. The Shinto Pantheon could elevate its entire military standing."

Jin stared at the Moon God, his expression turning ice-cold. "And what does that have to do with me? I think you guys are getting terribly confused. I am not your subordinate. You cannot order me around."

"We are Gods," Amaterasu reminded him, her aura flaring slightly at his insolence.

"And I have been treating you with respect because you are supposed to be peaceful Gods," Jin shot back without missing a beat.

"But we are helping you with your mother's case!" Amaterasu argued, stepping forward.

Jin didn't flinch. He leaned in slightly, his voice dropping . "And did I ask for your help by falling on my knees and begging you to take me in? Did I ask you to bring justice to my mother for me at any cost?"

He pointed a finger at the ground beneath their feet. "She was your Shrine Maiden. She was murdered by a foreign faction's plot on your home ground. I brought you the evidence because I thought you might have some lingering affection for her, and for the order of your own land. Not because I needed you to fight my battles."

Amaterasu opened her mouth, but the words died in her throat. She was completely speechless, struck by the brutal, undeniable truth of his logic.

Tsukuyomi sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Looks like i lost the sight . He is right, Amaterasu. What have we actually done for Jin to give us the right to demand his power system? That kind of knowledge is priceless."

Sirzechs, watching the exchange, offered a mild, amused smile. "And here I thought you had changed, Jin, seeing you act so proper and diplomatic during our meeting earlier."

Jin gave Sirzechs a flat look before turning his attention back to the Sun Goddess. His tone softened, just a fraction.

"I have no problem passing on my teachings," Jin offered, dangling the ultimate bait. "It's not like just anyone can learn it anyway; it requires a specific physical and spiritual discipline. But before we even discuss that... please, show me your sincerity first."

Amaterasu's expression immediately brightened, the divine pride giving way to eager ambition. The door wasn't closed; it was just locked behind a price.

Jin turned his gaze to the Crimson Satan. "And Sirzechs. I hope you make actual, tangible progress with the evidence I provided."

Without waiting for their replies, Jin walked past the supreme beings, leaving the ruined academy behind and making his way back to his quiet, empty home in the suburbs, his feet somewhat hurried.
