With a belly full of anger, Thiago ran on pure adrenaline and reached them in no time.
"Let me see." He said as he inspected what was happening.
It turned out that it wasn't because someone had barricaded the door from within that they couldn't get inside. It was because a length of rebar had come down out of the ceiling.
It jammed itself clean across the frame, wedging the door shut. The steel that had punched down at an angle was stuck.
CHINK. CHINK.
Thiago moved thwang the rebar a little to check if there was no other problem. Thankfully, it hadn't bored a hole straight through the door itself. Which meant there was a very good chance the room behind it had been spared from getting destroyed.
The problem was that reinforced rebar wouldn't move by itself; someone had to move it. But judging from the looks of it, none of the people present, alpha or not, was capable of bending this thick rebar.
