Gasp!
Lilianna dragged her heavy, waterlogged body through the jagged hole. Her claws scraped against the fractured concrete as she hauled herself up and out.
Gasp-wheeze.
Air. At last.
She thought that the clean rush of oxygen would calm her down, but the grip of reality snapped her back to reality. She looked down at her limbs, but they didn't belong to her; they weren't human or tiger's.
She was still trapped inside Salia's grotesque, chitinous semi-transformation—the extra joints, the scorched, weeping remnants of the feathered hindwings, the terrifying anatomy of a high-ranking Zerg.
"No..." Lilianna choked out, her face contorting in sheer horror.
She squeezed her eyes shut, desperately forcing her will inward. She was trying to manipulate her spiritual power to violently strip away the Zerg's semi-transformation and revert back to her human form.
At the very least, she wanted to transform to her own familiar tiger semi-transformation.
Transform. Change, damn you!
