Chapter 399 - Chapter 400: My Friend, My Heart Hurts

The first man to step forward was unbelievably massive.

He towered over ordinary humans to an absurd degree.

Honestly, people often joke that Luffy looks normal while everyone else in the world looks bizarre. But if you actually apply One Piece logic, someone like Luffy would probably be considered the unusual one.

As for Big Mom?

She wasn't a Giant.

She was simply the peak of what a human could become.

A terrifying reminder of just how absurd human potential truly was.

The giant before them was much the same.

Most of the skin visible on his body had already been replaced by cold mechanical prosthetics.

Only half of his original face remained, covered in intricate metallic engravings.

Now this was true cybernetic ascension.

Quinn and Franky would probably need to take notes.

His right arm was entirely mechanical.

At the end of it sat a massive metal gauntlet, covered in countless moving components and glowing with a dark metallic sheen.

Simply standing there made the surrounding air feel heavier.

His presence alone was overwhelming.

"Iron Fist" Galvan

Supreme Commander of Pilurka's Land Forces.

Over eighty-five percent of his body had been converted into mechanical augmentations.

A living war machine.

His electronic eye swept across the vast Allied Army before him.

"Hmph."

"A collection of insects, pirates, and barbarians gathered together."

"And you dare invade Pilurka?"

"Should I admire your courage?"

"Or your stupidity?"

His gaze lingered briefly on one of the extravagant royal warships among the Twenty Kings.

The contempt in his eyes was undisguised.

Decorations.

Jewels.

Gold plating.

Countless ornaments that served no purpose in battle whatsoever.

Ridiculous.

Then a brilliant light appeared beside him.

A tall woman materialized from the radiance itself.

She wore sleek silver-white armor that seemed molded from light.

In her hand rested an elegant bow composed entirely of condensed energy.

Terrifying power flowed naturally along its string.

Ritter immediately wanted one.

If Vinsmoke Judge were here, Ritter would probably be slamming a table and shouting:

"That's what I want! A laser bow! Why does she get a laser bow?!"

"Photon" Lyselene.

She smiled faintly as her gaze swept across the Allied Army.

"Look at yourselves."

"Wearing armor from centuries ago."

"Swinging primitive swords."

"Riding barely civilized beasts."

"And you truly believe numbers and bloodlines can challenge the power of science?"

"How laughably ignorant."

The third individual stepped forward.

"Steelbone" Barrett.

Commander of Pilurka's Mechanical Legion.

He was built like an iron tower.

Heavy armor covered his back, layered with countless ports, conduits, and energy pipelines.

Unlike the others, he said nothing.

He simply stood there.

Silent.

Motionless.

Yet through the slight gaps in his armor, countless gleaming blades could be seen hidden beneath the plating.

A chilling killing intent spread across the battlefield.

Ritter blinked.

"Damn."

"Male Blade Dancer."

The final person looked entirely out of place.

A middle-aged man wearing a white lab coat and glasses.

He looked more like a researcher than a warrior.

Yet among the four, his status seemed the highest.

"Coremind" Dr. Alpha.

Dozens of palm-sized metallic discs floated around him, spinning continuously in the air.

Floating cannons.

He adjusted his glasses.

Streams of data flashed across the lenses.

"According to calculations, your probability of victory is below 7.3%."

"Surrender."

"Offer your life energy to the Goddess Project."

"Contributing to humanity's advancement is the only meaningful purpose your existence can still serve."

The moment the four of them appeared, they completely embodied Pilurka's technological arrogance.

Across the battlefield, one of the Twenty Kings finally lost his temper.

Mounted atop a gigantic thunderbird and clad in golden armor, he urged his mount forward.

Lightning crackled around the spear in his hand as he pointed it directly at Dr. Alpha.

"You must be Alpha!"

"You half-machine freak!"

"What nonsense are you spouting?"

"The Alliance of the Twenty Kings stands here today!"

"We'll crush your metal city and wipe out every one of you who dares tamper with life itself!"

Photon Lyselene laughed softly.

Her fingers brushed the bowstring.

An arrow of pure light instantly formed.

"Oh?"

"Tampering with life?"

"You nobles built your power through conquest and exploitation."

"And you think you're qualified to lecture us about morality?"

"That's hilarious."

"We simply use energy more efficiently."

"Far more efficiently."

Steelbone Barrett remained silent.

But part of the armor on his back suddenly unfolded.

Dozens of launch ports emerged.

A silent threat.

Cold.

Simple.

Deadly.

The killing intent alone was enough.

Dr. Alpha pushed up his glasses.

"An emotional argument."

"Completely illogical."

"As expected."

"Your civilization desperately requires reformatting."

"You idiots."

The Thunderbird King exploded.

"What the hell did you just say?!"

The next several minutes devolved into pure profanity.

Thunderbird King: ********

Dr. Alpha: ***********

Thunderbird King: *************

Dr. Alpha: ****************

Thunderbird King: ***********

Dr. Alpha: ****************

At first they looked ready to murder each other.

Then, somehow...

A strange mutual respect formed.

The Thunderbird King stared at Alpha.

"If we were on the same side..."

"We'd probably be great friends."

Dr. Alpha nodded seriously.

"Agreed."

The two pointed dramatically at each other.

"Draw your sword, my friend!"

"Draw your sword, my friend!"

The entire battlefield fell silent.

Ignoring those two lunatics...

Ignoring those two completely inhuman creatures...

The verbal battle between both sides continued escalating.

Pilurka viewed the Alliance as primitive barbarians clinging to outdated traditions.

The Alliance, especially the Twenty Kings, considered themselves the legitimate rulers of the world and condemned Pilurka's path as heresy.

The Four Generals' arrogance was so overwhelming that even the Twenty Kings looked modest by comparison.

To them, everyone else was either a country bumpkin or a relic from the past.

The kings naturally couldn't tolerate that.

One hot-tempered ruler wearing armor engraved with flames stepped forward.

After glancing at the Thunderbird King, he hesitated.

The man technically hadn't lost the argument.

Then again...

Maybe he had.

Either way, someone needed to say something.

His body erupted in flames.

"You bastards!"

"A bunch of monsters who've mutilated yourselves beyond recognition!"

"And you dare speak of the future?"

"Today we'll tear down this steel city and sell it for scrap!"

A queen who wielded ice powers also stepped forward.

Her voice was cold.

"Frogs in a well."

"You know nothing of the true sky."

"Your technology is nothing more than a child's toy before real power."

"A toy?"

Photon Lyselene sneered.

Her bowstring instantly reached full draw.

"Then let me show you what a toy can do."

She released the string.

A beam-like arrow ripped through the air.

It wasn't aimed at any king.

Instead, it struck an empty area before the Allied lines.

Boom!

There was no explosion.

Instead, the arrow expanded instantly.

A gigantic prison made entirely of light materialized.

Dozens of Allied soldiers were trapped inside.

The soldiers slammed desperately against the glowing walls.

Nothing happened.

The cage didn't even tremble.

At the same time, Iron Fist Galvan raised his enormous mechanical gauntlet and slammed it into the ground.

"Gravity Field."

"Tenfold Gravity."

Bzzzt!

An invisible force erupted outward.

Large sections of the Allied Army were instantly crushed to the ground.

It felt as if giant invisible hands had slammed them flat.

Bones groaned under the pressure.

Many soldiers lost their ability to fight immediately.

Steelbone Barrett finally moved.

The arsenal on his back unfolded.

Heavy cannons emerged.

Without a single word, he opened fire directly at the fleets of the Twenty Kings.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

The bombardment lit up the battlefield.

The attacks were ultimately blocked by various defensive abilities, but the kings' fleets still ended up looking far less dignified than before.

Meanwhile, Dr. Alpha placed a hand over his chest.

"My friend."

"My heart hurts."

The Thunderbird King sighed deeply.

"Mine too."

The three Pilurka generals had just proven one thing.

Their arrogance wasn't empty boasting.

The moment they appeared, they delivered a crushing demonstration of power.

The Twenty Kings and their champions were both shocked and furious.

One powerful aura after another erupted across the battlefield.

Haki.

Elemental powers.

Strange abilities.

Countless forms of strength exploded into the sky, directly opposing the technological might of Pilurka's Four Generals.

"You're courting death!"

"Kill them!"

"Flatten Pilurka!"

The atmosphere ignited instantly.

The final battle had begun.
