Foot steps can be heard throughout the empty
walls of the church.
pacing through the halls to
the exit,
Clover, a blond with a jellyfish cut and bags under his eyes.
you can tell that this short pale man is at his wits end.
*Sigh*
(I have to hurry, I didn't think that this could take so long).
Clover thought,
( maybe if i pick up some gifts the children won't be as sad).
Exiting the church, clover clutched his cross sitting on his chest, griping his books and other items close.
(I can't wait to go home and sleep after this)
he thought, sighing while walking across the street.
Hearing a loud bang, clover stops walking, glancing at the ally that made its existence known...
" yep.. definitely not fucking with that"
speeding up clover was going to walk off when he suddenly heard a voice
" hello... can anyone one help me?...."
stopping, clover turned to the allyway.....
(was that a child?....)
he thought for a long moment
" i can't believe im doing this"
he muttered, going back to that corner of the ally, he yells
" hello, is anyone there?!"
Hearing a quiet
"...hello..."
calling back, he goes into the ally and spots a child behind a trashcan.
Even though he couldn't see that well because of the dark, he can still hear the young girl weeping
" are you alright,... and where are your parents?"
Lifting the young girl up he didn't notice the tail that softly wrapped around his clothed arm.
Walking out of the alleyway, he consoles the crying girl,
(poor child, she's dirty, cold and obviously lost from what she's been saying.)
Her curly locks matted from the dirt, covered in mud from the wet alleyway.
" don't worry, we'll be getting you to a safe place soon"
seeing the girl stop crying he didn't realize the hidden glint in her eyes that was covered by her tears.
Stopping in-front of a police station, he looks down at the girl with a small smile.
" we're here"
hearing this the girl turn and read 'police station' and her heart sunk.
with a surprised look on her face she started to scream, and crying
"please I don't wanna go, please don't leave me here"
shocked to hear her pleas, he tried to console her
" hey why are you crying, this is how we're going to find your parents sweetheart"
With her loud cries, people around the area started to stare and look at clover weird.
getting nervous with all the unwanted attention he told her that he would just take her to the daycare.
( I wonder why she was so terrified by the station..... I'll just call them when we get to the orphanage).
Seeing her calming down, he still was talking to her just in case she hasn't fully settled down yet. arriving at the daycare he unlocked the door announcing his arrival to the children inside.
before he could walk all the way in, his legs got tackled, by a huge mob of children, a crowd forming with clover and the girl hidden away inside the middle.
"Hey clover, where were you?" "you took so long!!" "do you have any toys for us!"
Bombarded by questions, he loudly asked everyone to be quiet.
"Calm down everyone, your gonna overwhelm our newcomer"
hearing this, all the children unpiled and looked at the girl that was in clover's hands. A short small girl smiling back at them, one hand gripping his shirt while the other held her long and soiled dress. Surprisingly she looked happy seeing all the other kids, before they could ask questions, clover quickly said
" everyone I'm sorry that I'm late, but it's midnight you all need to be going to bed"
hearing this all the children groan in annoyance.
feeling bad that he let them wait this long, he promised that they could all get one thing that they wanted tomorrow.
Hearing this the children all smiled and ran to get ready for bed.
calling out to one of the girls, he said
" atlas, can you please show her to the bathroom while I help the others get ready for bed"
seeing her nodding yes, he put the girl down, letting her run over towards the other other girl.
( I just realized that I never asked for her name. I'll do that when I help her get a change of new clothes)
walking inside the room he was starting their routine when suddenly the lights turned off. being scared of the dark some of the younger kids started to get scared and cry. He reassures them that they'll be fine, walking towards the bathroom where the girls are. He picks up atlas who is standing by the bathroom door. He knocks on the door, waiting for it to open before he grabs the little one.
picking them both up, he took large strides back towards the bedroom.
" I'm sorry little one but until the lights are back on, you'll have to clean up later"
Placing them inside the room, he started to Light candles so he can see. While Lighting the Last candle, there was suddenly loud banging at the door.
startled, he told the children to stay inside the room and distract themselves with some bed time stories until he gets back.
(I have a bad feeling about this, who would be knocking On the door this late) having a bad feeling but feeling, he picks up a nearby candlestick holder.
( I'll just pick up something Big to take just Incase)
walking up to the door, clover calms his nerves and cracks open the door.
" Hello, sorry to disturb you tonight but I'm looking for my daughter"
the man states,looking clover up and down.
clover seeing the a tall man staring down at him, gets nervous, by the weird glint in his eyes. His eyes are so piercing that it looks likes a bright light shining through the night sky. like he's seeing beyond my soul, his long hair with bright red ends reminded him of fire.
I can tell just by looking am him, that this fit man is quite the looker, ( I would even blush if it wasn't Creepy as hell for him to be banging on my door at midnight, as soon as the lights turned off ) getting chills by the thought.
"you see, she likes running away when she's annoyed so I've been looking around for her and i came across this building wondering if you have seen her?"
Focusing back on the man, ignoring his worries, clover replies
" I'm sorry that happened, can you give me a description of her?"
" of course, she's 5 years old, she has long curly hair that looks a little unkempt,
wearing a baggy sweater and long dress, I believe, and is very, very loud".
Hearing his description, he thinks about the little girl he found earlier.
(that sounds exactly like her)
explaining the situation to him, the man smiles, an uncanny grin that covered his face.
"Im so glad to hear that, may I come inside to see her please?"
Still having that uncomfortable gut feeling, he told the man to just wait outside while he went to go get her.
Closing the door he ran back to the room, walking up to the young girl, he cuts their conversation and asks her a question.
" hey hun, I believe your father is here but Can you give me a description of him"
with a annoyed look she answers
" he's really tall, he has long hair and is realllly annoying, he wears Stupid clothes and likes to nag at me all the time, he-
" cutting her of he told her that he's down stairs waiting outside.
(I'm glad her dad found her but I still can't get this feeling to go away)
picking her up he walked her down the stairs to the front door, glad to see the man still waiting outside instead of coming in.
he warned her how dangerous it is to run away and then opened the door.
" I hope she didn't give you much trouble"
the man said while grabbing her from clover's arms
" of course not, she was a doll to be around."
Looking up before the man turned around and left, the lights turned back on, and with that light he seen a small pair of hoofs and tail peaking out beneath her long dirty dress.
