Aria examined the six connections while Aurelia compared the original archive's records with the modifications made by Serik. The suspension function they had found seemed suitable, but its description contained an important condition: before isolating any set of instructions, the archive needed to identify which processes depended on it.
"We can't simply select Serik's copy and tell the archive to suspend it," Aria explained over the communicator. "The archive needs to verify whether any essential function will stop operating when the connections are interrupted."
Damon looked at the six red supports. "And how long does that verification take?"
"I don't know. The function hasn't been used in centuries."
"Great."
"But we can start with the first support. It's connected to the search system you already shut down."
