Chapter 830: The End of the Storm
Sam's wolf shoved Miles's wolf away.
The injured warrior was thrown clear.
But Sam wasn't.
Her leg disappeared between two pieces of broken earth.
She tried to pull herself free.
Nothing.
Another tremor struck.
The ground shook violently.
"Sam!"
Tobias moved forward.
Annabeth grabbed his arm.
"Tobias!"
He pulled free.
"I have to get her."
"It's dangerous!"
"I don't fucking care!"
He ran.
Sam shifted back into human form, immediately grabbing at her trapped leg.
"Go back!" she told him.
"No."
"Tobias, fucking back!"
The earth trembled again.
Sam screamed.
Tobias stopped only for a moment.
Then he continued.
"It's too dangerous!" Sam shouted.
"I don't fucking care!"
"I do!" She glared at him. "So stay back!"
Tobias shook his head.
"I'll come to you."
"No!"
"I'll find a way to get you out."
Sam gritted her teeth. "I'll find a way myself. It's too dangerous for you to come close."
