Elise had been keeping a close eye on everything happening in the Netherworld.
No figure could escape her divine sight, whether it was Cerberus wreathed in flames, Hades fleeing for his life, or Samael, who had just revealed himself before everyone. Elise put her blindfold back on.
After undergoing such a long transformation, her ability to wield the power of faith had naturally grown stronger. But anyone who thought that was the only change Elise had experienced would be gravely mistaken!
Her beauty and charm had also undergone an extremely obvious transformation.
As the representative of the Lord God Space, Elise had long since ceased to belong to any particular world.
Although others regarded both her appearance and temperament as being at the absolute pinnacle, there had always been something strangely distinctive about her...
It was as though such beauty did not belong to this world!
Many people were well aware of this. Sirzechs knew it, and so did Azazel, though neither of them had ever brought it up.
After all, Elise was already their boss. If they started talking about irrelevant matters like this, weren't they afraid she might come looking for trouble?
As the saying went, better to avoid unnecessary trouble!
Even so, whenever Azazel and the others paid Elise a visit, they never dared stare at her for too long. Otherwise, problems might arise.
They might very well end up like that young angel girl named Metatron, constantly daydreaming about doing shameful things with Elise...
Speaking of Metatron, she should currently be helping Michael, right?
For this assault on the Netherworld, Elise wanted to see how capable the new angelic army was, so she had not sent Metatron, a Super Devil-level combatant. Only Gabriel had led the angels to rendezvous with the other two factions.
They alone had launched the attack on the Netherworld.
But now...
Ever since Samael appeared on the battlefield, the situation seemed to have changed!
There was no denying that Gabriel was powerful. Elise had bestowed tremendous strength upon her, but Samael was somewhat special as well...
There seemed to be a trace of the previous God of the Bible's aura upon him!
Because of that, Gabriel had been holding herself back throughout the battle and had been completely unable to display her full strength. As for Sirzechs and Azazel, there was even less need to mention them.
"There's really no helping it."
"Then allow me to show you the might of God!"
Now, it was time for Elise to take the stage!
...
"Ahem... What's going on?"
Ever since the battle with Samael began, Gabriel had noticed a problem.
There seemed to be a trace of the Lord's aura on the enemy before her. What was going on?
Because of that, Gabriel had remained distracted throughout the battle and had been unable to fight at full strength.
Although Gabriel looked like a mature and beautiful woman, she had only been alive for a little over a month since her birth.
She was still an illegally young beauty!
So when faced with a situation she could not understand, her response was somewhat immature, to the point that it even affected Azazel and Sirzechs beside her.
In truth, Gabriel could hardly be blamed. In the original story, Samael was precisely such an existence.
For deceiving the humans in the Garden of Eden into eating the Fruit of Wisdom, he had violated a taboo and received severe punishment and a curse from the God of the Bible, becoming the embodiment of original sin—the Dragon Eater, Samael!
Furthermore, by gathering the hatred, rage, and malice of God, Samael had evolved even further, gaining the ability to erase serpents and dragons from existence.
And that was not all. Because Samael had endured malice from God that should never have existed, he possessed a deadly poison capable of annihilating all things, along with the special authority to devour life and energy.
In terms of raw strength, Samael might not have been capable of contending with the Heavenly allied forces before him. But thanks to his peculiar immortality and Gabriel's distraction, he was actually able to fight them back and forth for a time.
That alone was enough to demonstrate Samael's power.
Originally, Hades had intended to preserve this trump card until he found an opportunity to devour either Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God, or Great Red. He had never expected Heaven to attack the Netherworld at a time like this.
To protect his own life, Hades had been left with no choice but to release Samael to fight them.
Although Samael could not kill these enemies in a short period of time, he had indirectly bought Hades the time he needed to escape.
But was that really the case?
Just as Gabriel and the others prepared to launch their next round of attacks against Samael, an enormous golden magic circle appeared overhead. An indescribably sacred aura instantly filled the Netherworld, a realm saturated with death.
"What's going on?"
This extraordinary sight immediately drew everyone's attention, but it did not take long for some of them to realize what it meant.
There was only one being in the world who possessed such overwhelming power while also radiating such a sacred aura!
The God of the Bible!
Every angel present, and even the fallen angels and devils, saluted the magic circle in the sky.
Some Grim Reapers attempted to take advantage of the opportunity to launch a sneak attack, only to discover that their attacks were blocked by a layer of golden holy light. They could not touch their enemies at all.
Soon, a figure emerged from the magic circle.
White robes fluttered around her, intertwined with strands of gold.
"Rise. Since I have come, everything is already over."
With a casual wave of her hand, incomparably warm energy spread outward from Elise and enveloped every member of the Heavenly allied forces.
The scales of victory had already tipped. The Grim Reapers could no longer inflict any harm upon them.
After realizing this, some of the lower-ranking Grim Reapers surrendered outright. Only the stubborn ones who refused to yield remained, and the angels cut them down with a single slash of their swords.
Aside from Hades, who had escaped, only one enemy remained here...
Samael!
From the moment Elise's aura appeared within the Netherworld, Samael's body had been trembling continuously. Only after that figure appeared before him did Samael finally raise his head and glare fixedly at Elise.
Naturally, Samael could sense that familiar aura coming from Elise.
But from Elise's perspective, things were entirely different.
From Samael, Elise sensed rage, resentment, fear, and all manner of other negative emotions.
Elise naturally did not know Samael and had never had any connection with him. But the identity of the God of the Bible was inextricably linked to Samael!
However, although Elise had become the new God of the Bible, she had not inherited the previous God of the Bible's memories...
So she knew absolutely nothing about Samael's past.
"You still refuse to surrender, Samael?"
Looking at the trembling half-fallen-angel, half-dragon before her, Elise revealed an intrigued expression.
But her expression soon changed. Confusion was practically written across her face.
Samael suddenly opened his mouth wide and roared at the God of the Bible, his voice overflowing with hatred toward her.
"God of the Bible!"
"You took everything from me!"
Elise: ???
Why has this suddenly become my problem?
When Samael shouted those words, Elise was completely baffled.
What is he even talking about?
Although she had heard that Samael had some connection with the God of the Bible, she had never expected him to react like this.
Elise was not the former God of the Bible, nor did she possess the former God's memories. Naturally, she knew nothing about the relationship between them.
Yet somehow, this whole mess had fallen straight into her lap!
"Samael, do you think the current me is the same as the one from before?"
Elise suddenly felt that perhaps she could obtain some useful information from Samael.
After all, Samael had known the previous God of the Bible.
Azazel had as well, but that old fox was far too crafty. Elise was afraid of exposing some flaw in herself, so she had never bothered questioning him about it.
Samael was different. One look at this murky creature was enough to tell that there was something wrong with his head. Maybe she could trick some information out of him?
However, Samael clearly did not understand what Elise meant. He merely beat the wings on his back in fury and roared, "What difference could there possibly be?"
"God of the Bible! So what if you've taken on this appearance now?"
"A thousand years of hatred will be repaid today!"
Although his entire body was already trembling with fear, Samael still charged toward Elise with no regard for his own life.
The sight genuinely stunned Elise. She had not expected Samael to possess such conviction...
Judging by his appearance, he clearly knew he was no match for the God of the Bible and intended to imitate the Four Great Satans of the past by taking her down with him!
But how could such an idea possibly succeed?
Elise's strength was already incomparable to what it had once been!
Besides, she had been extraordinarily powerful to begin with. Dealing with a mere Samael was naturally no problem at all.
"In that case, I'll have no choice but to ask you to leave forever!"
Elise was not the original God of the Bible. She knew nothing about the trivial grievances of the past, nor did she intend to investigate them.
Since Samael was her enemy, she could simply destroy him!
Besides, Samael was hardly anything good to begin with. If Elise had not encountered him today, Ophis might very well have been the one to suffer later.
Elise spread her arms. Sacred radiance gathered around her until her entire body transformed into a beam of light.
Even under such circumstances, Samael beat his wings harder and lunged toward the God of the Bible with even greater force.
"Aaaaaaaah—"
"God of the Bible!"
A golden beam erupted from Elise and shot directly toward Samael.
Samael likewise released his power without restraint. His entire body seemed to become coated in pitch-black poisonous mist, giving him an exceedingly terrifying appearance. To outsiders, merely looking at him produced an ominous sense of foreboding.
Soon, gold and black collided.
Elise had not used an especially great amount of power, so at first, Samael was indeed able to hold her beam at bay.
But soon, Samael realized something was wrong. The energy Elise was using had almost instantly doubled!
But that did not matter!
Samael had anticipated this long ago!
How could the God of the Bible possibly be so weak?
Thus, Samael gave everything he had. Even if doing so placed an enormous burden on his body or caused permanent injuries, he did not care!
At this moment, only the God of the Bible existed in his eyes!
Two seconds later, Samael successfully surpassed his own limits and once again stalemated Elise's beam. He could even faintly begin suppressing her.
The sight left everyone nearby terrified.
Was Samael really this powerful?
He could actually contend with the God of the Bible?
And that was not all. As mentioned before, Samael possessed the special authority to devour life and energy. Now, it seemed that he was gradually adapting to Elise's power and attempting to absorb it!
However, just as everything appeared to be proceeding smoothly, the amount of energy Elise was using doubled again!
Gulp—
Almost instantly, several swollen areas appeared across Samael's body.
Clearly, Elise's energy was stuffing him beyond capacity!
"This scene... Why do I feel like I've seen something like this before?"
Watching what was happening, Azazel could not shake the feeling that the scene before him was strangely familiar.
Soon, an image of white armor and blue wings of light surfaced in his mind...
The Red Dragon Emperor and White Dragon Emperor!
Halving and doubling!
Wasn't what they were seeing now essentially the same as the Red Dragon Emperor's Boost?
But obviously, the God of the Bible had no need for a Sacred Gear. She herself was the greatest Sacred Gear beneath heaven and earth!
Sure enough, after Elise doubled her power once again, Samael could no longer endure it. Even his body began undergoing abnormal changes.
But it was not over yet!
Double!
Double!
Double again!
And so, under the gazes of all the angels, fallen angels, devils, and Grim Reapers present, Elise's power began increasing without any apparent upper limit!
Before long, Samael's pitch-black figure was completely swallowed by the torrent of light, leaving behind not even a trace of ash!
So what if he possessed a peculiar immortal body?
Elise had inherited the God of the Bible's authority over restoration and resurrection. When it came to such powers, no one understood them better than she did!
How to use them, how to counter them—everything was within her grasp!
A single Samael could not possibly stir up any meaningful trouble!
But in the eyes of everyone else, the situation looked completely different.
The God of the Bible's power seemed utterly inexhaustible! No matter how much they observed, they felt as though they were seeing nothing more than the tip of the iceberg!
It was remarkably similar to Ophis' Infinity! Moreover, during the negotiations earlier, Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God, had already appeared at the banquet!
Some of the sharper individuals quickly noticed something strange. The learning ability of this God of the Bible seemed rather astonishing.
Could it be that whenever she studied a power, she could quickly learn how to reproduce it?
The former God had never possessed an ability like that, had she?
Still, no matter how difficult it was to understand, now was not the time to dwell on it.
As the final trace of dust disappeared, Samael's existence was erased from the world. The Dragon Eater was no more, and the story between him and the God of the Bible would undoubtedly be buried in the long river of history.
Now even the Grim Reapers had submitted. The Underworld and Netherworld had completely fallen into Elise's hands.
At this moment, the war was unmistakably over. Victory belonged to the Biblical forces!
But there was still one problem left unresolved. Hades, the former ruler of the Netherworld, had already escaped the Underworld through a teleportation circle!
According to the teleportation circle's original trajectory, Hades should have been transported directly to the territory of the Greek pantheon.
However, during the teleportation process, a tiny little accident seemed to have occurred...
And so Hades, whose skeletal face normally displayed no expression at all, was now staring dumbfounded at the golden figure before him.
A thirty-six-winged angel!
