"Ah, that hurts so much!"
The sudden arrival of two figures interrupted the conversation between Shirogai and Shanks.
Rolling across the ground like clumsy performers were a father and son who looked almost identical in their lack of composure, Usopp and Yasopp.
"Pfft!"
Shanks clutched his stomach with one hand while pointing at Yasopp with the other, laughing without restraint.
"Ah hahaha! Yasopp, the two of you really are father and son, equally unreliable!"
"Hiss! Damn it, that hurts!"
Yasopp rubbed the swelling on his head, wincing as he pushed himself back to his feet. His gaze quickly shifted to the dozens of tables filled with rich food surrounding Shirogai and Shanks.
"But Captain, you sent us to fight the crew members on Shirogai's ship, and here you are enjoying yourself!"
He clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Are all captains this shameless when it comes to slacking off?"
"Huh? Then why do you think I brought you onto my ship?"
Shanks puffed out his chest, looking completely justified.
"So you can work while I relax. That is the real privilege of being a captain!"
Bang!
A small stone flew straight into Shanks's face, knocking him flat onto the ground.
"Ouch!"
"Heh."
Yasopp shot him an irritated look before casually grabbing a piece of bread from the table and tossing it into his mouth.
"Shameless captain… hmm? This is amazing!"
His expression changed instantly. The irritation vanished as his eyes lit up, fully focused on the food.
"This is unbelievably good! Where did all of this come from? Definitely not you, Captain."
He continued eating without pause.
"With Shirogai around, it makes sense. A man who controls multiple Devil Fruit abilities can easily handle something like this."
The more he ate, the more astonished he became.
"Comparing captains really is frustrating… maybe I should just join my son's crew instead. At least I would eat like this every day."
Nearby, Usopp had already exhausted himself earlier and was now completely focused on the food in front of him.
"Awoo, woof woof! Woof woof woof?"
His cheeks were stuffed full, food nearly spilling out as he spoke.
(Delicious! Shirogai, where are the others? Are they still fighting?)
"Heh, slow down. No one is taking your food."
Shirogai watched him with a faint smile.
"The others are still finishing up. It will not take long. Aside from Zoro, none of them are fighting seriously. Most of it is sparring, they are not using their strongest techniques."
Usopp blinked, still chewing, then mumbled again through a mouthful of food.
"Woof woof? Woof woof woof?"
(Then why did we even have to fight? You and Red Hair did not even clash properly.)
"You need to understand what a top tier pirate crew is capable of."
Shirogai's tone remained relaxed.
"What comes next will bring enemies just as strong, if not stronger."
"Woof… woof woof… cough, cough!"
Usopp choked mid sentence, his face turning red as he grabbed his throat.
"Too slow… eating like this is too slow!"
After forcing the food down, his eyes suddenly gleamed with a sharp green light.
"Mori Mori Fruit, Giant Carnivorous Plant Form!"
His body expanded instantly, swelling into a massive form. His mouth distorted into a grotesque, oversized maw, stretching wide with a deep, cavernous throat.
"Heh! Now I can eat properly!"
"Hey! What the hell?! Son, you turned into a monster!"
Yasopp stared in shock, a half eaten piece of meat falling from his mouth before he casually picked it back up and continued chewing.
He kicked Shanks lightly.
"Captain, get up and look! My son lost his mind!"
Shanks, still lying on the ground, glanced upward at the towering plant form Usopp had taken.
"To speed up eating, he used his Devil Fruit like this…"
A grin spread across his face.
"Hahaha! As expected of Luffy and Shirogai's crew, completely chaotic!"
"Awoo! Eating! Eating! Eating!"
Dozens of thick vines sprouted beneath Usopp, grabbing food from every table and throwing it directly into his enormous mouth.
Between bites, he shot a smug look at Yasopp.
"Your way of eating is too slow, old man."
Yasopp froze for a moment, then glared at him.
"You ungrateful brat! Looking down on your father? Watch me eat more than you!"
He immediately sped up, stuffing food into his mouth as fast as possible.
"Hmph!"
Usopp responded by lifting an entire table and tossing it into his mouth, crunching loudly.
"Pfft! Yasopp, just give up. You cannot beat him."
Shanks patted Yasopp's shoulder, clearly enjoying the scene.
"You bastard!"
Yasopp refused to back down, continuing to eat until his stomach bulged.
Eventually, he collapsed onto the ground, completely full.
Meanwhile, Usopp's massive plant form continued devouring food without slowing down.
"Burp! I am full!"
Finally, he stopped, clearly satisfied.
"Now that was proper eating."
He grinned proudly, having fully embraced Luffy's style of devouring food.
"Much better."
