Chapter Three- Plan
The sun, having slept through the night, now stirred, peeking over the Dragon Spine mountain range. Its orange light, carrying the scent of fresh morning and summer, splashed across Dollar City.
The city began to buzz with life as people started their day as usual.
I felt the warm light seeping through the curtain, licking at my skin as I stirred awake.
"Ugh... the light..."
It was morning already. I barely got any sleep because I had been thinking hard about my plan.
I sat up, struggling, but managed on my own. It seemed the sound of my grunt was loud enough—or maybe her ears were just too good.
The door clicked open, and my head snapped toward the girl around my age who came in. Her name was... Erina? Erina Evergreen, right?
She is a sub-hero whose skills can combo with Erza if you want to play her as your DPS in your deck. She's also my personal maid around this time.
"...Erina."
My voice was still hoarse as I gulped down water.
Memories of how we played together as children flooded back—days spent like sister and brother. It was she who kept Dante warm when his sister drifted away.
She bowed and greeted me with a cool voice.
"Good morning, young master."
I saw she was about to help me change my clothes—a feat previous Dante wasn't capable of on his own.
I shook my head at her. She hesitated for a second, then nodded in response.
When I woke up in this body on day two, she tried to do the same, but I stopped her.
Why, you ask? As a grown man, getting help from an 11-year-old to change clothes isn't something I want. Lol.
I rolled my eyes slightly at my own thought as I managed to stand up. My legs wobbled as I walked toward the closet.
Her face was stoic, as always, but the upward corner of her mouth meant she was happy. Her blood-red eyes were cool and sharp despite her age. Her green forest hair, tied neatly into a ponytail, swayed slightly.
Her mini maid uniform in black made her all the more adorable.
"I will get your breakfast right away. Please wait a moment."
With that, she walked out of the room. Amazing—just this age and already professional.
Also this state of my body won't do any longer. I have to do something.
But who should I lay my hands on first?
This body is incapable of sex, terrible stamina.
The system said the more taboo it is, the more Eros points I get. And that is something I have to get as soon as possible.
Taboo, huh.
Erza and Erina are out of the question—they're too young.
That leaves only one choice: my mother, Drale Westler.
She's a widow, pent-up, loving her children to the point of obsession.
How do I know? In Erza's quest, there's one mission that's a pain in the ass—proving yourself worthy to her. Bah bah.
Just a thought—the headache seems to worsen already.
Anyway, due to that, I think she's the most suitable target I can get my hands on.
Sex is not possible, so I have to create the intimate situations, make her invaluable.
I look at the mirror out of the corner of my eye.
This face—the one staring back at me—is still the 11-year-old kid's body. His face pale, unhealthy but still considered handsome in its kind. His hair, blue ocean tresses with a long bang covering his eyes.
But it's his eyes that are the most soul-catching—juicy pink, like raw meat still dripping with blood.
With a small smile, I push my bangs up, highlighting them more.
"Old Dante is all but gloomy. Hell, I understand him, but this has to change."
But let's not rush things. I also want to know more about her, about the mother I ever had.
With a sigh, I grab my clothes and head to the bathroom.
****
I munch on the breakfast Erina gave me at the computer table, the bacon has been fried to perfect crisp, and the truffle scrambled eggs are like heaven—touch my tongue and they melt away.
The saltiness, the truffle aroma kicking into my nose—it's nothing like the protein bars I had to eat on missions.
It's light, not too heavy for my stomach, giving me the fiber and protein my body needs.
Surprisingly, this is the work of old man Sebart, the head butler.
"Much, much. those old man sure scams me with all the food they provide me on missions, huh? Bastard."
My eyes twitch as I scroll down the recent news.
I'm not really sure about the state of the world now because when we started as players, we were already 18, and the world was already in chaos.
So I don't know much about the knowledge around this timeline, and I want to get as much information as possible.
Just like that, I spent 4-5 hours researching and looking for the info I wanted to know.
I didn't even notice when Erina came and tidied my already finished meal and prepared the medicine for me. I just stuffed everything in my mouth and gulped it down.
My concentration reached its peak as I lost track of time.
I've always been like this—when I focus too much, everything around me seems to fade away.
Sometimes it benefits me, but most times it leaves me defenseless—a bad habit.
Anyway, there's a fact I confirmed:
Dominican Republic is still natural, and that means it will stay like canon, maybe?
How important was Dominican Republic?
The Dominican Republic is the biggest merchant nation in Ertharia due to its geography—located in the center of the continent with natural access to the two most important seas, the North Sea and the South Sea. It easily boosts its massive economy to the next level.
This is also thanks to the Dragon Spine mountain range in the northwest, a place brimming with resources and mana breasts. Thus, competition in this nation is fierce and dangerous.
Take my dad's case, for example.
Also, Terria is just opening their border, I see.
Terria Kingdom is the kingdom of elves. Due to their long lifespan and prideful nature, they consider us humans lower than them. Besides the meadow, the territory of various beastkin keeps them busy.
And due to the threat of DeathFest, the Demon Kin country, the war between us and them has still not erupted. But that's what normal civilians perceive.
I know from the game that they have been in a cold war state for years now. It's just a matter of time before war happens.
And here's the good news for us humans:
The Orion, the Holy Land, has found the prophesied Saintess now.
Lily White, Apostle of Goddess of light ,Atha. the first hero we get. It's like a tutorial, but she's important—super important—because when she awakens her true power, it's broken. So much that the devs had to nerf her, but she still hits the meta. I have to be careful not to get on her bad side.
Besides, this is not a game. I didn't have a restart button.
And if the Saintess appears, I wonder how Carl is doing now.
Who's Carl? He's the main character, the one we directly control—the hero who carries the Brave Factor.
What's the Brave Factor?
It's his passive power. It allows him to use any kind of power with no drawbacks to some extent—like black magic, which normally makes you lose your sanity the more you use it, but the Brave Factor rewrites that.
Broken, it is.
So people have been looking for him now. Well, not like they know it's him. I mean, they're looking for the hero. Why?
Because when the Saintess is born, the hero will be born absolutely the same year as her.
You could say it's fate or maybe a lazy dev's setting. It's like fate decided it like that—I don't know.
But he will hit full potential slower than others, so that's why they find out he's the hero much later, he is found to be a hero we he hit the second year, I think?
Right now though, I bet he's still a noob, weak. lol
So anyway, the Saintess Festival is going to happen soon—four months, I assume.
The timing is also perfect with the game lore.
And if it's like a game, I must absolutely be there.
If I prevent what's about to happen, I can get the broken item right off the bat!!
Hehehe.
And now, the final piece of news I need to start my plan to get intimate with Drale Westler.
Westler house—we are a middle-class family.
Our family runs a business about cosmetics—called Rosé: skin care, color cosmetics, fragrances. We sell it all.
At first, we hit the market like a storm, under my mother's knowledge and connections and my father's leadership.
We managed to settle as a shop in Dollar City, the capital of Dominican Republic, in the upper-class district nevertheless.
The feast deserves praise.
But due to an accident, our father passed away, leaving a crack in our foundation.
So now our family stock has been down for a while.
My mother carries all the burden, all alone for us.
At some point in the game, they manage to make a comeback thanks to Erza's achievements.
But like now, Drale Westler needs support—financial and emotional.
So for now, I will be her emotional pillar.
Financial problems can wait for another time.
I tense my muscles as I struggle to move.
Like always, this body manages to bring me back to reality.
I miss my old one—so perfect~ but it lack what this one have
Freedom
I smirk slightly as I open the door.
The black button-down shirt hangs loosely around my body, paired with long black pants, casual but still stylish enough.
The first thing I see when I open the door is Erina, eyes wide.
"Young master?"
She hurriedly comes to help me walk, and I lean on her.
Well, it's too much for me now.
She's always stationed in front of my door here. I wonder if she was the one who informed Drale the other day that I had woken up.
"Sorry, Erina, can you help me go to my mother's office?"
She looks at my face for a moment longer than necessary, then nods.
"With pleasure, Dante-sama."
Her voice is still cool, but I sense warmth underneath.
She hooks my arm on her shoulder, helping me walk,
to my destination.
