Chapter 531 - Chapter 531

"No problem." Racer didn't refuse.

He summoned his prized ride—a red and yellow motorcycle. Dressed in full riding gear, he looked every bit the professional biker.

VROOOM!!!

Racer mounted the motorcycle, plugged in a cable, and the magi-cycle roared to life. Its headlights flared, and it shot forward.

Though the Worthy Woodsea was a dense forest, Racer was confident in his driving skills.

He pushed the bike to its maximum speed, weaving and maneuvering through the trees with ease.

It showed how diverse the Mage profession was—there were specialists for every conceivable skill.

After Racer departed, a young woman spoke up.

She had straight-cut white bangs, a blue ribbon tied in her short hair, and a halo-like ring of light floating above her head.

Dressed in a feathered outfit with long blue gloves, she looked like a flamboyant bird.

"Leader, could it be Nirvana?"

Brain shook his head. "I can't be sure, Angel. Infiltrate the Allied Forces and gather intelligence."

Even with his power, Brain couldn't discern what was happening from this distance.

He could only sense a dense concentration of Magic Power in that direction.

To find out what was happening inside the Worthy Woodsea, they had to infiltrate the Allied Forces.

"Understood. I'll make the arrangements."

Angel accepted Brain's order without hesitation.

"O Spirits of the Celestial World, I am the one who opens the path! Heed my call and pass through the Gate! Open, Gate of the Twins: Gemini!"

Angel cast a familiar spell—Celestial Spirit Magic.

The key she held was for Gemini, one of the Twelve Zodiac Gates. She, too, was a Celestial Spirit Mage.

"Gemi! Mini!"

The Gemini Celestial Spirit Gate opened, and two small figures bounced out, one to the left and one to the right.

These little beings were short, barely over a meter tall, and entirely blue.

Two antenna-like strands of hair sprouted from their heads. Their eyes were strange: black orbs with a single white dot in the center.

Their mouths were shaped differently—one like a 'V' and the other an inverted 'V', resembling a smiling face and a crying face.

Both wore leather belts, fastened in opposite directions, and small shorts—one orange, the other black. Their names were Gemi and Mini.

"Gemi, Mini, infiltrate the Allied Forces' headquarters. You don't need to do anything else—just gather intelligence about what happened yesterday."

Looking at the Gemini Celestial Spirits before her, Angel gave the order.

Although the two little guys lacked direct combat abilities, their powers were useful, making them perfect for infiltration missions.

The Gemini Celestial Spirits accepted the mission without hesitation. The two of them dashed off in the direction Angel indicated.

"We should have results soon."

Angel was confident in Gemini's intelligence-gathering capabilities.

Once sent out, she didn't need to worry, the two would handle everything themselves.

"Impressive. The Gemini Celestial Spirit is really something," Cobra remarked from the side, marveling at the wonders of Celestial Spirit Magic.

Cobra had short, spiky red hair and upturned eyes.

He wore a white overcoat over a black shirt, red pants, and a smug, arrogant expression that practically begged to be punched.

"Your Poison Dragon Slayer Magic isn't bad either," Angel replied casually.

"I can hear you. You don't mean that."

But Cobra took her seriously.

He sized Angel up for a moment and spoke with absolute certainty, as if he could read her mind.

"...Your hearing really is that good."

The corner of Angel's mouth twitched.

She hadn't been sincere, she despised Poison Dragon Slayer Magic and avoided it whenever possible.

"I heard that. This time, you're being sincere."

Cobra's arrogant expression deepened as he continued, "My hearing is that good. I can even hear people's thoughts. I call it the 'God's Ear'—a pair of ears that can hear everything."

"Actually, we don't need Angel's Gemini to infiltrate," Cobra added, voicing a different opinion on Brain's plan.

"I could just get a little closer and hear everything they're discussing. I could get the intel much easier."

VROOOOM!

Before Brain could respond to Cobra, a roaring engine echoed through the area.

Racer had returned on his vehicle.

However, the triumphant spirit he showed earlier had vanished.

Now, his face was twisted in terror and shock, as if he had witnessed some incomprehensible horror.

"Racer? What's with that expression?"

Hoteye, who had been silent until now, spoke up.

He seemed to be frowning, but it was impossible to tell because his face looked like it was assembled from building blocks—an appearance very similar to Wally Buchanan's.

"In the Worth Woodsea... in the Worth Woodsea... there's a terrifying, bottomless crater!"

Racer stopped his vehicle and struggled to calm the terror gripping his heart.

His eyes wide, he recounted everything he saw.

"That crater is the source of the dense Magic Power! That crater was blasted into existence by magic!"

Racer shouted, his voice trembling.

The moment he realized this, fear consumed him.

He couldn't begin to imagine what kind of magic could cause such destruction. Was something like that even possible for a human?!

"..."

The members of the Oración Seis fell silent, staring at him with strange expressions.

Even Midnight, who had been sleeping, seemed disturbed by Racer's shouting and stirred as if about to wake.

"What crater? Racer, what are you talking about?" Brain asked, frowning.

He hadn't expected Racer to return with such bizarre news—it offered no useful conclusions.

Racer tried to explain, struggling to find words to describe the scene.

But it was clear that no ordinary vocabulary could do justice to what he had witnessed.

As a result, his words sounded abstract to the Oración Seis.

To them, he was just exaggerating.

"What's all this noise?!"

Racer's shouting roused Midnight, who had been sitting cross-legged nearby, fast asleep.

The man was narcoleptic, capable of dozing off anywhere, anytime.

Macbeth, codenamed Midnight, had short black hair, red eyes, and skull earrings dangling from both ears.

His lips were a deep crimson, and his features were somewhat androgynous. He sat cross-legged on a floating red carpet, his expression terrifying.

Vwoom!

Magic Power surged, and Racer cried out in pain.

Without hesitation, Midnight used his magic on him, twisting the space around Racer and nearly snapping his arm.

"Midnight."

Brain intervened, stopping Midnight's attack.

A major battle was imminent, and they couldn't afford to have their own members injured by infighting. Racer's skills were still useful.

"Hmph. Disturb my sleep again, and I won't spare you."

Midnight snorted and dropped his magic.

He showed Brain some deference—after all, Brain was his father. Still, he shot Racer a glare.

"..."

Racer clutched his arm and shrank back, looking at Midnight with fear. Although they were all Generals of the Oración Seis, Midnight was the strongest among them.

Even Brain admitted that Midnight's power surpassed his own.

Hoteye frowned.

He felt Midnight had gone too far.

They were all members of the Oración Seis, yet Midnight acted as if he were superior.

Even if he was the strongest, how much stronger could he really be? If they actually fought, it wasn't certain he couldn't be defeated.

However, Hoteye didn't say anything.

Brain had already stopped the altercation, and Midnight ceased his attack. There was no need for Hoteye to stir up more trouble.

"What happened?"

Midnight stood up, stretched lazily, and looked at the others.

"What was Racer going on about just now?" he asked. "I didn't catch any of it."

"Racer said that in the Worth Woodsea, there's a massive, bottomless crater that looks like it swallowed an entire city," Angel summarized, condensing Racer's frantic words. "It's saturated with magical energy, seemingly the aftermath of an attack."

'Was it the Allied Forces? Why would they do something like that?' Angel wondered.

Whether Racer's description was exaggerated or not, one thing was certain: someone had destroyed something in the Worthy Woodsea.

And since they came to the Worthy Woodsea specifically to find something, they couldn't help but worry.

What if... what if Nirvana is destroyed?

Angel's fear wasn't baseless.

She wasn't the only one who considered this possibility. At that very moment, Brain's expression turned grim.

"Huh? Are those Mages really that powerful?"

Midnight's surprise quickly turned to excitement. If they were truly that strong, they might actually be worthy opponents for him.

"Who knows? Racer's probably exaggerating."

Cobra shrugged, looking unconcerned.

He was arrogant, convinced that those "regular" Mages couldn't possibly be that strong—certainly not as strong as the Oración Seis.

"Let's wait for news from the Gemini Celestial Spirits," Brain said, his expression dark.

If the Allied Forces were indeed responsible, and if it was related to Nirvana, Brain was confident Gemini would uncover the truth.

Those Mages wouldn't hide such a feat; they would trumpet it loudly to boost morale.

"It would be disastrous if Nirvana was destroyed," Midnight grumbled, baring his teeth.

This was his father's lifelong plan.

If it was destroyed before they even laid eyes on it, the humiliation would be unbearable.

"We wait for news," Brain repeated, saying no more.

But his expression made it clear: if anything had happened to Nirvana, his wrath would be unleashed.

Soon, the Gemini Celestial Spirits returned.

The two small figures bounced cheerfully, oblivious to the explosive nature of the news they carried.

"Gemi, Mini, did you find out anything?" Angel stepped forward to ask.

She was worried, when she sent them, they hadn't known about the crater.

She feared Gemini might not have gathered the relevant information.

"Piri-piri! The Mages are all buzzing! They're saying Marco Dreyar destroyed Nirvana and foiled the Oración Seis's plan!" Gemi announced.

The moment he spoke, the Oración Seis fell silent.

The atmosphere grew heavy and tense.

"Where did he destroy it?" Angel asked, swallowing hard.

"In the Worth Woodsea! It happened yesterday—it must be the incident you sent us to investigate," Mini added.

They had been dispatched specifically to find out what happened the previous day.

Angel turned to her five comrades.

None of them looked pleased.

They had been made into fools, and now the Allied Forces were waiting to laugh at their expense.

"Brain..." Racer looked at his leader.

With this disaster, what were they supposed to do? How could they proceed with their plan?

"It might not be true. It could be spread disinformation."

Brain's expression was icy.

He tried to convince himself with this explanation, but in truth, even he didn't believe his own words.

After all, the fact that those Mages knew they were after Nirvana already exceeded his expectations.

And once they knew of Nirvana's existence, it was entirely possible they would strike first and destroy it.
