"Die!!!"
Completely humiliated and thoroughly enraged, Midnight roared.
The sight of him losing his composure like this was something the other members of Oración Seis had never seen before.
But now, Midnight no longer had the calmness he'd shown earlier. He had completely lost his cool. He refused to believe he couldn't catch Marco making a mistake.
He refused to believe Marco's teleportation could be that fast every single time.
As long as he got one opening—just one—he could seriously wound that bastard in front of him.
Bzz!
Space twisted violently as Midnight directly tried to tear apart the space where Marco stood.
The pulling force felt as if two maddened bulls were charging in opposite directions, each trying to rip Marco's body in half.
Bang!
This time, Marco didn't move.
He didn't waste any extra time either.
He raised his right index finger, crimson light gathering at the tip, and fired a Crimson Poison Needle.
The tearing sensation on his body instantly vanished without a trace.
Marco had already noticed that Midnight's ability actually had quite a few limitations. For example, his distortion power could only be used on one place at a time.
If he was attacking, he couldn't defend. If he was defending, he couldn't attack.
He could only distort a single section of space at once.
"I'm curious, Midnight, was it? How exactly did you people manage to control Jellal?"
Looking at Midnight hurriedly switching to defense and nearly having his guard broken by that casual Crimson Poison Needle, Marco couldn't help asking.
"Don't take it personally. I just like telling the truth. Even all of you together might not be a match for Jellal. If Jellal really went all out, there's no way your kind of ability could hold up." Marco said it very seriously.
If nothing else, he absolutely acknowledged Jellal's magical talent, and there was no point denying it.
Jellal's Heavenly Body Magic also had extremely impressive destructive power—far beyond what ordinary magic could defend against.
At the very least, Midnight definitely couldn't do it.
Marco wasn't even fighting seriously.
He was only using attacks that weren't especially known for destructive power, and Midnight was already starting to sweat bullets.
If Marco used techniques with real destructive force, Midnight definitely wouldn't be able to endure them.
He wouldn't even qualify to keep stalling for time against him.
"What kind of joke is that?!"
Midnight couldn't help shouting back.
He couldn't refute the fact that Marco was suppressing him, but for Marco to say that Jellal could defeat all of Oración Seis—that was something Midnight absolutely could not tolerate.
Jellal, who wouldn't even fight anymore, who had already become useless—how could someone like that possibly have the strength to defeat them?!
"That strong a reaction?"
Midnight's response genuinely surprised Marco.
The guy seemed even angrier at Jellal's name than he was at being beaten down by Marco himself.
The idea that Jellal was stronger—much stronger—seemed to have stabbed straight into Midnight's heart.
It made sense, though.
Jellal could also be considered one of Brain's disciples, and the members of Oración Seis had all learned magic under Brain's guidance and training as well.
Midnight had always seen himself as Brain's proudest and most outstanding student. He had even become Brain's adopted son.
He respected and appreciated Brain deeply, so hearing Marco say that Jellal was far stronger than him naturally hit a nerve.
In Midnight's heart, Marco's words felt like being told, Jellal is Brain's true greatest disciple.
Like being told, If Jellal hadn't had his own path to follow, you never would've had a chance to become Brain's son.
Bzz!
The Aries Gold Cloth vanished from Marco's body, replaced by the Leo Gold Cloth.
He clenched his fist.
"This farce ends here."
Looking at Midnight, Marco announced that the game was over. He had already lost interest in this so-called Distortion Magic.
The limitation of "only being able to distort one place at a time" alone dragged the upper limit of this magic down too far.
Of course, its lower limit was undeniably high—but that was all.
There was no doubt Midnight had fairly good magical talent, and he had developed this Distortion Magic quite skillfully.
Maybe if someone even more gifted used it, the magic could become somewhat stronger—but probably not by much more than what Midnight had already shown.
Bzz!
Magic power erupted from Marco's body. The constellation of Leo answered his call.
It was as if the lion roared across the cosmos itself.
Starlight descended like a storm accompanied by leonine roars and peals of thunder, everything condensing into Marco's fist.
"Lightning Speed Fist!"
As Marco threw the punch, lightning exploded outward. It was as though his fist had cast out a net of electricity that destroyed everything in front of him.
In the blink of an eye, it fell upon Midnight. Terrified, Midnight couldn't even react in time. He couldn't even use teleportation.
The punch was simply too fast.
Crackle crackle crackle!!!
Midnight was trapped in the center of a net of lightning, like a man imprisoned within a sphere of thunder.
The terrifying magical power slammed into his body, overloading even the distorted spaces around him.
He frantically forced his magic source to its limit, desperately wringing out every last bit of power in fear—but in the end, it was all useless.
Boom!
The lightning pierced through everything and struck Midnight directly. In only an instant, it was all over.
Everything vanished.
This punch could directly destroy hundreds of trillions of the opponent's cells, and the final effect of the attack was to rip the enemy apart until not even a speck of dust remained.
Midnight of the Oración Seis died without leaving behind even a trace.
He was completely erased from the world, sinking into a true—eternal sleep.
"I've said it before: all those abilities like reflection, deflection, or so-called absolute defense just mean they haven't met real overwhelming force yet."
Marco muttered a complaint. Even his own Crystal Wall was the same—if the force was great enough, it too could be shattered. "Absolute defense" had always been an abstract idea.
Any ability that claimed such a title was almost guaranteed to be breakable.
"Midnight!!!"
Naturally, the commotion here filled the other members of Oración Seis with terror.
The sight of Midnight being broken down and dissolved inside that sphere of lightning was a blow beyond description.
For a moment, they couldn't even pay attention to their own opponents anymore.
They were immediately battered into miserable shape and heavily wounded.
Pfft!
Hoteye coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Several icy arrows were already embedded in his body, and frost was rapidly spreading across him, freezing large portions of his limbs.
He had been too shocked and distracted to dodge in time.
"What's so shocking about that? There was no way he could beat Marco. Isn't that just common sense? You guys didn't seriously think he could win, did you?"
Gray didn't continue kicking a man while he was down.
Instead, he spoke with genuine confusion.
He really couldn't figure it out. With the strength these members of Oración Seis had, they were only capable of trading blows with Fairy Tail on relatively even footing—so what gave them the confidence to think they could defeat Marco?
Of course, Gray admitted that Oración Seis weren't weak at all.
If he hadn't learned Marco's Celestial Spirit Magic, he might not have had any advantage in a real fight.
But with the Celestial Spirit Magic Marco had taught them, they were now fully capable of suppressing the members of Oración Seis in battle.
At this point, the fight had completely ended. Natsu and Lucy had also defeated Racer and Angel respectively.
All five remaining members of Oración Seis had been beaten.
As for the dark guilds, they too had been utterly crushed.
This grand battle ended in a complete victory for the Allied Wizard Forces.
