Chapter 6 - CHAPTER SIX

LORENZO POV

I sat down on the couch, with Elena kneeling in front of me her head bent low, I'm going to teach her a lesson, but even tho it doesn't mean anything, I'll make sure that next time she won't do something like that without my permission.

"I'm waiting for your explanation woman"

I said to her coldly.

She swallowed hard before finally looking up at me.

"I know what I did was wrong, master Lorenzo, and I admit my mistake, I'm sorry."

Her apology sounded sincere.

But the irritating scene from few minutes ago was still replaying in my mind.

I couldn't believe this girl.

She had been dancing in the middle of my mansion like she owned the place, blasting music loud enough to shake the walls. And when I confronted her, she had the audacity to continue acting as though nothing serious had happened.

A good man probably would have forgiven her instantly.

Unfortunately for her, I wasn't a good man.

I leaned back against the couch, studying her expression carefully. There was something about the way she knelt down there, trying so hard to look composed despite being nervous, that irritated me more than it should have.

"Do you really think that apologizing just like that is enough for me to forgive you?"

She shook her head slightly.

"I didn't know that you would be this displeased when music is being played loudly in the house."

She has a point.

It wasn't as though she had committed some unforgivable crime.

It was just music.

So why was I this annoyed?

Another thing I don't understand.

Perhaps it was because she had ignored me when I called her.

Perhaps it was because she had cursed the moment I turned the music off.

But I don't think cursing is the reason, I curse too.

I reasoned with myself.

Or maybe perhaps I simply disliked the fact that she was becoming far too comfortable in my house.

Ha! This must be the reason.

I pushed the thought aside.

Whatever the reason maybe, she needed to understand that this was my home, my mansion, and also my rules were not suggestions.

"But with the way you look, I doubt you could handle any serious punishment," I said, my voice remaining cold.

Her eyebrows furrowed.

"But that doesn't mean I forgive you or your getting away with it."

She remained silent.

I allowed the silence stretch between us for a few seconds before continuing.

"Every action has a consequence Elena. You need to learn that."

Her eyes widened slightly.

"I understand, master Lorenzo."

"Good, you better do."

I stood up from the couch and adjusted the sleeves of my shirt.

"Now go and prepare dinner."

She stared at me as though she was expecting something worse.

I almost smiled.

Almost.

"Don't look so surprised," I said. "Your punishment hasn't started yet."

Her relaxed expression changed immediately.

"What punishment?"

She asked.

I turned toward her, finally allowing a small smirk to appear on my face.

"You'll find out soon enough, don't tell me you're that eager to find out your punishment."

I walked past her without giving her another explanation.

For some reason I could already imagine the argument that would follow.

And strangely enough, I wasn't sure whether I was looking forward to it or dreading it.

Walking towards my office while Elena who was kneeling stood up and proceeded to go and prepare dinner.

On getting to my office I sat down on my king like swivel chair and opened the document.

I tried to focus on my business, but I've been reading the same sentence over and over again, without understanding any of it.

I suddenly got irritated with myself.

That damn music keeps replaying in my head, not that I liked the music, I keep telling myself I hated it in fact, but the truth is that I actually love the music.

I'm so f*cking annoyed with myself because why am I thinking about the music.

In few seconds, my mind drifted to the part where she was dancing, how she was dancing, how carefree she looked, how she smiled, how she didn't seem afraid for those few minutes.

Why the hell was I thinking about all that?

I asked myself frustrated.

I don't blame anyone but that stupid Elena.

Maybe she's becoming way too comfortable in my house, that's the reason why she's distracting me.

While I was thinking about all that, I could hear sounds from downstairs-maybe that's Elena footsteps moving around while she's preparing the dishes, because it's definitely hers.

I need to get some work done, I got up from my chair and went downstairs.
