This is reckless of me to put my team in such danger. After breaking down during camp in Steel's kind embrace I finally thought this was where the journey would end. The team almost died for the 3 goddess's sake. Then the truth came out and it was Spice and Steel who brought it out to the forefront. I understand why Steel wouldn't tell leadership with the lockdown and not wanting us to end it, but come on. Plus with me having the power to stop this journey by being part of leadership somehow I didn't.
Somehow the tears stopped and I agreed for us to continue. Vic later asked me with Steel and Mama Blues why, and I walked away saying I don't know. It was an honest answer, because I don't know why I agreed to keep going. It happened suddenly when I heard the name Gold Mafia Family. The moment I heard that name as one of our enemies my mind felt familiarity with it and my heart felt hatred. It made me want to go on this journey to destroy that name. Why though, why do I hate that name so much?
I had Gray look up and find out about each treat and asked the heads about what they knew. We found out a lot about them. They are the most dangerous mafia family in the world. They owned the entire United States Underworld and had a direct connection with every country's criminal underworld. Especially here in Japan which is basically a branch under their absolute control.
It controls gambling in the URA, and other amateur sports. They also have a hold of the gambling scene in the Noble Racing League. Still, they did not hold any influence or anything on the FSRL for some reason and have failed consistently to get any. That was why they tried to sabotage and block it out of Japan and the United States as well as many places as possible. They used assassination, bribes, and even blackmail to do their bidding.
Still, FSRL is immovable and is still trying to expand. That's what drew Mina the most to it in her own words. Honestly, it made me respect this league a bit more. They're tough, smart, and tenacious, maybe we can work with them. Soon enough I began preparing for the performance test to see if we're qualified enough to perform internationally or have to do more insane practice.
I passed and everyone, but Vic and Lily passed. Still Sweets and Spice still wanted to sharpen their skills and joined them which respectfully enough is great. I also helped with the preparation creating dresses, and choreographies for the team. Soon everything was approved and now I went and decided to hone my combat abilities. Tsukasa assigned Iguro to help me train along with some experts.
I was trained in self-defense and weaponry when I was growing up. I also practiced them while in training camp. There I saw not only that my skills have dulled, but we're not matching my body's abilities. I tried to synchronize my body and my mind, and I was having a hard time. Like my mind wanted to neutralize, but my body wanted to kill. My body when not in control was not only deadly, but lethal.
I tried sparring and it took Iguro who was a veteran in combat to stop me from almost accidentally killing my opponent. How did I know how to do any of this? My safe take downs now had lethal end strikes, my disarmament skills tore through bones, and had discombobulations and kill strikes. Iguro reported this to the team leaders and organization heads. This made Mina assign Iguro as my combat instructor trying to get my skills back to form.
Still, with the added fact that I was now an Uma Musume my physical abilities rose tenfold. This did not make it easy for Iguro to manage me. Tsukasa thought it was a good idea to put me in with the rest of my team. Which led to me beating their asses painfully. Vic got knocked out, but thanks to her adaptability it wasn't immediate.
Mama Blues was fast and countered easily. Gray decided to surrender after getting punched in the solar plexus. Rose was a tougher match which I only won using fakes and misdirects. Rain though was tough taking heavy hits, but she was slow and I took advantage to dodge her strikes and neutralize her. Lily was an easy win only lasting one punch.
Steel was not, it was a brutal fight that ended with a stoppage with me almost killing her. Spice fought brutally and dirty, and whooping her ass was hella fun. ImP was a skilled all rounder which was taken down after some effort. Next Sweets was strong, but was reversed and made to surrender. BlaD was knocked out with one punch to the jaw.
Next is Jo who was precise and fast, but predictable. I used her patterns to counter her and take her down. Next is Norn who is a flexible grappler and creative striker. Catching her and choking her out was the only way to beat her. Finally, there was KiWi show was crazy and unpredictable.
She was actually winning, but I swung a light punch that she could have taken, but all of a sudden lights out. I know that didn't hurt her and her jaw is tough as fuck, but she went to sleep for some reason. Still bugs me when I think about it. Next up we tried weapons and BlaD, Rain, Spice, and Gray were great with weapons. While Rose, ImP, Sweets, and I were great at hand-to-hand and weapons.
Soon everyone started prepping for the meeting and suggesting names to Mina for the team. While also deciding on base team uniforms and special uniforms for big tournaments. We even thought of separate outfits for performances. Hana also decided to help us make social media accounts and promotional videos. We all had to do filming and pictures for.
After Vic and Lily finally passed their performance exams we all finally got back to business. We discussed many things, but the big one was choosing how we wanted to be portrayed as a team, and as individuals. Norn suggested we should just not care, with Spice supporting that. Where we all agreed to be ourselves, but always have each other's backs. That was how we wanted our team to be seen by others.
That fit, but a wrench was thrown into our plans. We were soon called for a meeting. Everyone came together after deciding all this. It literally happened a few minutes after too hilariously enough. We got to the meeting room and there Tsukasa, Yuto, Mina, and Iguro were waiting for us. Once we all sat down Tsukasa began our meeting.
