"Everything's secure," said the ninja in charge of surveying the area and the perimeter. "There's no sign of enemies or traps around."
"Alright, let's rest a bit," I ordered.
"Understood," the six ninjas said simultaneously, gathering around me to begin unpacking their belongings, along with some food and water.
"Hoshi, go find something to eat. I'm tired of eating ninja rations. Kana, go with her." Both ninjas nodded and went to do as asked.
Meanwhile, the others, including me, went off to do their own thing.
Generally, I would have started studying some ninjutsu or fuinjutsu, but I was already getting bored of doing the same thing.
It's been a week since we arrived in the Land of Lightning, infiltrated by others trying to find the jinchuriki.
Orochimaru—I mean, Pedumaru—we need to talk about people with honorary titles. He sent me with a small squad to try and capture or incapacitate the Eight-Tails' jinchuriki so he wouldn't pose a threat to Konoha's ninja.
Thanks to my Wood Release and my Sage Mode (though not fully mastered), I could have captured him without much trouble. But it's known that the guy is never alone; he's always with his brother, not exactly a blood relative, even though they look somewhat alike.
So they sent me with some rather expendable ninja to train the guys who accompany the Eight-Tails while I deal with him.
I only know that this plan isn't good, since A can easily take out all the ninjas they sent me, but since I feel I can handle both of them, I don't really care.
I also wouldn't sacrifice my comrades, so I asked Jiraiya for some help. Since Mianto was still around, using a toad, I asked him for some information, and he sent me an important piece of data: the Eight-Tails jinchuriki tends to escape on his own every so often.
So I'm doing what Sasuke did when he captured Bee, but in this case, it's more complicated because we're at war.
"I'm going to scout the area. High alert," I announced.
"Understood," the remaining ninjas under my command replied.
With that said, I went to see if I could find something to pass the time, making sure to leave a kunai with the Flying Thunder God symbol just in case.
...
After wandering and getting lost, since there was nothing and no one alive where I was—seriously, not a single living being—I came to a cave.
I reached the edge of a cave filled with thousands of bodies, both animal and human.
I was very curious about what was happening there, since there was a significant time gap between the bodies; it seemed like they were leaving them to rot there periodically.
Wham!
The moment I approached one of these bodies, a cut struck me.
It was so fast and sudden that I didn't even realize it, so I couldn't dodge it.
The cut almost sliced me in half; thankfully, it didn't hit my heart, or I would have died. The cut was deep enough to kill a normal person, but thanks to my defenses and special body, I survived the impact.
Without wasting a moment, I began to regenerate and, at the same time, started channeling natural energy in case another attack came at me and I couldn't dodge it; that way I could regenerate instantly.
Now saved from the clutches of death, a person with a healthy mind would have left, but I'm not that kind of person, so I entered the cave, since I wanted to know what that attack was and who did it.
As I entered the cave, the entrance began to gradually widen. The corpses also stopped abruptly.
After walking for a while, I arrived at a hill made of bones where a shrine stood, its doorway adorned with teeth.
"What a surprise," said the shrine's mouth as it opened, startling me. I couldn't tell if it was the shrine's shape or the fact that it could speak. "You are the first to pass my test; all who have approached my resting place and been struck by my attack have perished."
"So it was you?" I asked myself, more than anything, "what or who are you?"
"Rejoice; as the first to arrive here, I grant you the right to know my name and to be my first summoner. My name is Malevolent Shrine; do not forget it," it declared proudly, its tongue sticking out from the mouth in front of it, revealing a scroll.
Without much thought, I took the scroll to see what it was—a summoning scroll. It was completely empty, proving that no one had created it yet.
"I have two questions," I told the lively scene. If there was a wall with faces that could be summoned, why not a building?
"Go ahead, I have no problem answering them," it said.
"First, if I give the scroll to someone else to sign, nothing will happen, right? And second, what can you do?" I asked.
"Regarding the first question, you can do it, but if someone summons me who hasn't passed my automatic test, I'll perform a frontal attack regardless of the scene. And with the second, I can generate slashes that can cut almost anything in a certain area of about 3 kilometers, and if I'm destroyed, a fire attack as hot as the sun itself will be generated, allowing me to rebuild myself in my place of origin," it explained.
"I see." That means if someone summons it and hasn't passed the test, it will immediately attack the summoner. I sat down in front of the scroll, ready to make the contract. "I already have a summoning beast; is that okay?"
"It doesn't matter to me; as long as it's just one, you should be able to make the deal," it replied.
As I understand it, you can only make a contract with a beast or object, in this case, twice, once per hand.
(Note: This is my assumption, but in this case, it will be taken as true.)
Knowing that, I signed the scroll with my blood, formalizing the deal.
"With that, our agreement is sealed, summoner," the thing said.
I stood up to leave but stopped short.
"You can call me Miyu, and if you want, I can take you from here and bring you to a place where you can be worshipped," I told it.
"Hmm," the thing thought for a moment, "that sounds good to me."
I nodded and left the place happy with a new tool to use.
...
After making no progress for quite some time, something new finally came to light.
"So the jinchuriki escaped from his brother? Why would he do that?" one of my soldiers asked.
"Something about reaching a new stage as an artist must be a ruse; he must want to do something about attacking the front lines alone, like a tailed beast," another said.
I didn't know how to tell him that the bit about being an artist was true.
"It doesn't matter; the target is alone; this is our chance to act, let's move immediately," I ordered.
"Yes," they all said, and we went to where the target was supposedly located.
...
"What's he doing?" one of them asked, looking at the target, writing in a notebook and singing to himself.
"No idea. Do you think he knows we're here?" another asked.
"If so, then he must be pretty confident," I replied, standing up.
"Are you going alone?" another questioned.
"Only I can control a tailed beast; you guys came in case the target was with someone." With that said, I walked over to him.
I stood with my back to him. At that moment, he stopped without looking at me.
"The fresh air is very dry, but I, Killer Bee, the best rapper in the ninja world, will defeat you with the best ri..." He turned around while speaking, but when he saw me, he froze. His face turned red, and despite wearing sunglasses, I could see perfectly where he was looking: "Breasts," he finished.
(Note: It was hard for me to make the phrases rhyme in Spanish, so I won't rack my brains trying to make them rhyme in English too, considering how hard it was in my native language.)
I looked at my body; I wasn't wearing a Konoha ninja uniform or anything that could identify me with one. In fact, I was wearing clothes that accentuated my curves and left my neckline slightly open, revealing a bit of cleavage.
At this, I could only smile inwardly.
"You're the magnificent Killer B; I beg you to spare my life, as I didn't know it was you; in return, I'll do whatever you want; I'll even let you touch my breasts," I said, acting like a frightened victim.
"I, I'm a true gentleman, but I'm captivated by a beautiful lady; I would complain, and when I hesitate, everything falls apart," he said, moving closer to me.
We were both very relaxed, not revealing any of our intentions, but that didn't stop Killer B from blushing and staring at my breasts.
The moment we were face to face, he raised his hand, but I saw he was going to touch my shoulder. I didn't care, though, because with a single movement he put himself in a hold and I quickly placed a seal on his sword.
"What the...?" I said, freeing himself from my grip. "My connection with Gyuki!" he exclaimed in a panic, trying to remove the seal from his back.
"Too slow," I told him. And with a punch to the jaw, I left him hanging just enough to place another chakra seal on him, then made a hand seal so that several branches wrapped around B.
"I... I... I got overconfident. I should have listened to Gyuki when she warned me," he said without rapping.
"Not only that, but you almost broke one of the ninja code rules, the one about not abusing a woman," I told him.
"I wouldn't have abused you," he replied.
"That doesn't matter; you fell in love with the flesh and that's why you're here," I countered.
"..." B could only remain silent, unsure what to say.
"Beeeeeee!!!" a shout echoed in the distance.
"Oh no," B exclaimed upon hearing the voice.
I looked toward the sound and saw a man with the same dark skin as B, his blond hair slicked back, his muscles prominent and his expression serious. Several Kumo ninjas stood beside him.
"I'm guessing you're A, right?" I asked.
"Brother, I let myself be fooled, just like a broken heart," B rapped to A.
"Can you shut up for a moment?" A scolded him, a little agitated. "Once I free you, we'll settle this," he declared, his body crackling with lightning as he charged at me.
A thunder user, which was the most annoying thing since he didn't have much wind-style ninjutsu.
Not wanting to take any chances, I jumped to the side, landing in front of the bound B.
A growled at this, just as the other Kumo ninja appeared. At that moment, the Konoha ninja who had accompanied me appeared.
"Konoha ninja," A said, taking a closer look at his brother. "Wood Release, I see. You must be Miyu Senju."
"In the flesh. It's an honor to be recognized by the brainless Kumo ninja," I replied.
"You," I said, looking at Killer B, "why are you still lying there on the ground?"
"They cut off my connection and sealed my chakra with seals; I can't do anything," he revealed without rapping, to which I responded with a hand seal, making the wood cover his mouth.
"You look nicer when you're quiet," I said.
Killer B tried to say something, but no one could understand him.
Right now, no one could pay attention to him, since we were all focused on our enemy, ready for combat.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hey everyone, I'm back from the dead.
Sorry for being inactive, but I had an emergency at university.
I had a test in another language that I had to take, plus I had to do research, write a report, and give a presentation, all in one day. I had to take two days off from writing.
I could have posted, but honestly, I was feeling lazy; besides, anyone really interested would have seen the announcement for the other fic and known what happened.
Well, that's all. I'll try to let you know if anything happens that prevents me from moving on to the next chapter, so you don't think I've abandoned the fic or anything like that. See you.
