The two cried until their eyes were all puffy and their skin was shrivelled from the shower. It was a well-needed cry. After a while, the two finally pulled apart, looking at each other, drenched under the shower.
Hani looked at Emma, her clothes drenched, her hair mangled and slicked down from the water over half her face. Her clothes strapped up to her slim frame made it look as if the clothes had outgrown her as she vanished into them.
Hani, on the other hand, still had bloody stains all over her clothes. The buttons are half missing on her shirt and partially exposed. Not a single scar on her body. Even if she did have wounds, they would have all healed by her magic.
Is this how Stella felt? Every time she got hurt, her scars were removed. Even now, she looks like someone who has not been through the most excruciating moment of her life. As if all her pain did not exist.
Emma turned the water off, and Hani lay her head on Emma's shoulder.
