When I finally finished my shower, taking extra time to let the hot water soothe my embarrassment and confusion, I faced the question of what to wear. My own clothes were limited since I'd only grabbed a few things when I left the pack house, and most of them were either too formal or not comfortable enough for a quiet evening at home.
My eyes landed on one of Nathan's shirts hanging on a hook – a soft, worn button-down in dark blue that looked like it had been washed a thousand times. Without overthinking it, I slipped it on. The fabric was incredibly soft against my still-damp skin, and it was so oversized that it fell well past my knees, almost like a short dress. I left my hair slightly damp, just running my fingers through it to detangle the worst of the knots.
