Senzo and the others all stood a couple meters from the large blue portal, but no one made any noise as they all patiently waited for Senzo's verdict.
The one they were waiting for, on the other hand, was rubbing his chin while deep in thought about what to do next.
Jump straight in with all of us together? But what if it's a delayed instant death trap?
There were currently too many unknowns, so all he could do was carefully contemplate the available options.
"Haaah."
After a while of thinking without any results, he turned his attention to the three horsemen who surrounded him.
They did have ample experience and might be able to give some valuable opinions at this moment.
"Ahem, what do you all think we should do next?" Senzo inquired, glancing at Death and Famine mostly.
Even though War was the one most related to fighting, this seemed to be maybe a tad too complex for his muscle brain.
When his eyes jumped from the two skeletons over to the massive red armor, Senzo couldn't help but chuckle a little.
I might be a little prejudiced toward War, huh...
Seeing their master suddenly chuckle while looking at War, Death, and Famine couldn't help but smile a little. It looked like Senzo had fully relaxed after what had transpired with Pest and all the fighting they had just been through.
War, on the other hand, shook his head while crossing his arms in front of him, clearly showcasing his displeasure.
"What do you think, War?" Death suddenly asked.
Catching Senzo completely by surprise, while he had asked all three of them, he was silently hoping for Death to give his opinion.
But he wasn't about to go back on his words; maybe the bulky warrior could give him a pleasant surprise.
"Hoh? You want to hear the opinion of the so-called muscle brain? For what reason, oh great Death?" War replied with his chest puffed out, staring at the small skeleton not far from him.
All the spectral warriors around him just kept their mouths shut and focused on their duties, securing their surroundings to make sure no one could attack the bosses while they had an important discussion.
"Just hurry up and spit it out; if you don't do so immediately, we will just proceed without your input," Death stated, staring straight back into War's eyes.
Senzo could clearly feel the tension between the two, but he didn't mind it one bit; on the contrary, it felt quite nice to him. These subordinates he had gained because of that power had very distinct personalities and often clashed, but that was also their charm.
If they were just mindless puppets with strong powers, it would be even more boring to clear this dungeon and future dungeons.
Hehe, this is actually quite nice, huh?
And while Senzo was enjoying their little spat, Death and War just kept bickering back and forth like they were debating who would have to do the worst chores.
"Alright, that's enough. War, tell us your plan, or I will go."
Famine suddenly interrupted; normally Death would be the mediator, but sadly sometimes even someone as wise as him would be riled up by War, and then he had to intervene.
"Alright..." War grumbled, taking a seat on the ground.
The moment he sat down, Senzo and the others felt the impact, and he couldn't help but marvel at the immense force behind War's casual movements.
"I think we should just throw Death in there, because if it is a delayed instant death trap, he'll be unaffected, and if it's anything else, he should be able to deal with it."
With his arms crossed in front of him, War explained his plan, but no one knew if they should take it seriously, because it sounded like a plan purely to spite Death.
"Uhh?"
Senzo was speechless as he stared at War with a confused expression. This was clearly a very serious situation, and just because of a little back and forth, the armored giant had lost his mind and recommended such a dud.
But while Senzo was clearly disappointed, Famine and even Death himself both nodded slowly.
"Not bad; it looks like you haven't lost your touch," Famine said, a smile on his bony face.
"???"
Senzo was completely lost for words now. Have all of them lost their minds?
He couldn't wrap his head around why Famine would appreciate such a reckless and clearly spiteful plan.
"Death, please tell them off. I feel like it'll be more effective if you do it instead of me this time..." Senzo muttered, hoping the small skeleton would propose an actual usable plan.
"Why? It's a solid plan in my opinion, and even if it isn't an instant death trap, I can just send a message to War and/or Famine so you all can join me immediately."
"..."
Senzo's mouth opened and closed rapidly, like he was imitating a fish. Even you agree? What's going on!?
His brain was going into overdrive trying to figure out why this plan would be a good one, but no matter how he thought about it, it just sounded like War trying to spite Death.
Wait!? War not charging in headfirst sounds off...
Then something clicked inside Senzo's mind; from what he had currently seen about War's personality, he loved diving into trouble headfirst no matter what it was.
Could it be that only Death can handle an instant death trap? Ah, that's very likely!
Slowly but surely Senzo was finally figuring out why it would be a solid strategy, but that didn't mean he would just accept it; they still had to consider other strategies as well and see which one in the end would be the most suitable.
"Looks like you finally clocked it right?" Death said.
"Yea... but couldn't any of you have just told me? I was about to just dismiss the thing."
Senzo angrily retorted, but he was also quite glad at the same time; it was important for him to keep developing his abilities and mind.
"That wouldn't be any fun now, would it?" War interrupted, clearly smirking.
Famine and Death could only helplessly look at each other, seeing War's usual teasing side coming up again.
"You're still that same bully."
They mumbled together, but it was just loud enough for Senzo to hear clearly, of course.
"..."
"Bruh..."
War couldn't believe what he was hearing. How dare those skeletons drag his name through the mud like that?
