Chapter 356: Tenseigan Chakra Mode

Minazuki Reika slammed heavily into the ground. Watching the figure slowly descending from the sky, a bitter grimace twisted her lips. She didn't know how to describe the storm of emotions raging within her.
As a powerhouse who had developed the Ice Release Kekkei Genkai to its ultimate stage, her ability was terrifying enough to freeze the blood of any enemy within ten meters. The Jonin who had died earlier were victims of this very technique.
Possessing such power, Reika had believed few in the ninja world could match her. Yet, this woman, whom she hadn't taken seriously at first, had knocked her out of the sky in a frontal confrontation.
Most critically, her proudest ability—the blood-freezing aura—had absolutely no effect on her opponent. This was the blow that hit her the hardest.
Struggling to her feet, Reika looked at Saori, who was enveloped in a shroud of green chakra. After a long silence, she finally asked, "What... is this power?"
"A mode that perfectly controls the Tenseigan, combining pupil power with chakra," Saori replied simply as she touched down.
Just as Saori said, the state she was currently in was the Tenseigan Chakra Mode, a special transformation with power no less than the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.
Saori had finally mastered this ability during the recent "fetal movement" period of her eyes. In other words, she had finally transcended the Kage level and truly reached the realm of a "God of Shinobi."
Of course, the complete Tenseigan Chakra Mode was capable of even more. Unfortunately, Saori's current Sage Body and Yin Release mastery weren't quite there yet, so she could only utilize this level of power. However, it was more than enough to deal with the battle at hand.
"The Tenseigan... what a terrifying power," Reika muttered dejectedly, lowering her head as if giving up all resistance.
Seeing this, Saori, whose body seemed to burn with emerald flames, raised her hand. She summoned several Truth-Seeking Orbs (appearing as glowing green prayer beads) and sent them piercing through Reika's body.
At that exact moment, a gleam of sharp light flashed through Reika's despair-filled eyes. Her left hand formed a seal, and a corpse lying next to Saori suddenly exploded violently.
"Secret Technique: Minazuki Slaughter."
This was a highly lethal secret technique that extracted all the moisture from a body in an instant, compressing it into high-pressure, high-speed projectiles that scattered in all directions to attack surrounding enemies.
The water droplets shot out with immense force, capable of piercing through four inches of steel plate within a fifty-meter radius. Caught off guard, even with the protection of the chakra cloak, Saori suffered several gruesome puncture wounds.
"Cough, cough." Hyuga Saori used her chakra to seal her tenketsu and stop the bleeding. Coughing lightly, she stared at her enemy. "I didn't expect you to be hiding such a trump card."
"It's a pity it didn't kill you," Reika sighed with genuine regret. She stood up again. Although her injuries looked severe, her mental state was far from the broken wreck she had portrayed earlier.
Clearly, Reika's previous display of despair and helplessness was merely an act to lower Saori's guard. Now that the sneak attack had failed, she stood tall, ready to decide the victor in a head-on clash.

Reika slammed her hands together. Under her command, mirrors of ice materialized out of thin air, encasing both of them.
"Secret Technique: Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals."
But she wasn't finished. As Saori observed the technique, Reika unleashed another ability awakened by her bloodline.
"Secret Technique: Chilling Moon's Frost Flower."
Dim, ghostly light reflected endlessly off the mirrors. aided by the Frost Flower technique, Reika's figure flickered in and out of existence, appearing in different locations to confuse Saori's senses. Simultaneously, she secretly gathered chakra, preparing to deal a fatal blow at the right moment.
Facing the enemy's tricky abilities, Saori showed no sign of panic. Sensing a powerful chakra building up, she muttered impatiently, "What a boring trick."
She waved her hand with force. A powerful repulsive force, rejecting all matter, erupted from her. It not only pushed the unprepared Reika away but also shattered the barrier created by the Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals in a single blow.
This was one of Saori's newly awakened abilities: Repulsion. Its principle was roughly the same as the Rinnegan's Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push). However, Saori disliked the name Pain had given it, so she simply didn't use it.
Ignoring the blood-soaked Reika, Hyuga Saori took a deep breath. The emerald light around her body surged and expanded.
"Tenseigan Silver Wheel: Laser Barrage."
Using her sensory abilities to lock onto Mist ninja within a radius of several kilometers, countless green orbs rained down upon the enemy like a torrential storm.

With a cold sneer, Hyuga Saori pressed a finger against Reika's body. Using the Gentle Fist to seal her chakra flow, she waved her hand and summoned a glowing Spirit Orb.
"To win this war, you're going to have to work hard and put on a show for me."
Saori's smile looked terrifying in Reika's eyes. Although she didn't know what the orb was for, it clearly wasn't anything good for her.
