The third laser beam struck blindingly fast. It hit right where Lucario stood.

With no time to dodge, Lucario could only brace himself and take the hit with everything he had.

The heavy impact drove him straight into the ground, creating a deep pit.

Sam dropped into the crater and pulled Lucario into his arms.

His voice shook.

"Lucario! Are you okay?!"

At the same time, Sam poured his healing powers into Lucario's body without holding back.

"Lu-cah..."

The weak Lucario opened his eyes and looked at Sam, trying to tell him he was fine.

Even though it was only a stray shot of Primal Kyogre's Origin Pulse, the huge level gap left Lucario completely drained.

"I'm sorry, Lucario!" Sam said.

"It's my fault. I didn't notice it in time!"

Sam looked at Lucario's tough body, which was now covered in scrapes and burns. His heart ached.

"Lu-cah..."

Nourished by Sam's energy, Lucario recovered a little, but he was still too weak to stand.

Sam sensed through his Aura that Lucario had lost all his fighting strength, but thankfully, there were no life-threatening injuries.

"Luca, come back and rest." Sam managed a small smile, gently brushing the dirt off Lucario's fur.

"Lu-cah." Lucario nodded quietly.

In a flash of red light, Sam recalled him to his Poké Ball.

Sam exhaled heavily, feeling a tight, uncomfortable pressure building up in his chest.

Cynthia flew over on Zekrom, landing right next to him. Her eyes were full of worry.

"I'm fine," Sam said, forcing a tight smile so she wouldn't worry.

Then, he cracked his neck and looked up at Primal Kyogre in the sky.

His eyes were burning with rage.

Out of all the Pokémon on Sam's team, the most normal one, Lucario, was easily the most important.

Lucario was his starter Pokémon.

He was Sam's first partner, hatched right from an egg. Back then, Lucario was just a skinny little Riolu.

Sam still clearly remembered the moment Riolu hatched. He had been so nervous and excited!

They had grown up together. His bond with Lucario was stronger than with any other Pokémon.

Cynthia knew this perfectly well. Sam's bond with Lucario was just like her bond with Garchomp.

She knew Sam's personality, and she knew he was nowhere near as calm as he looked right now.

"Sam... are you really okay?" she asked softly.

"I'm fine," Sam replied.

"It's just that I have this anger stuck in my chest, and I'll feel sick if I don't let it out."

He spoke calmly, but his teeth were clenched tight, and his fists were shaking.

"I understand."

Seeing his expression, Cynthia knew exactly what he was thinking.

Sam was usually gentle, but he could be very stubborn.

Once he made up his mind, nothing could change it. She looked at him seriously.

"I'm going with you!"

"Alright," Sam agreed.

Cynthia stayed on Zekrom, waiting for his lead.

"I need to let this anger out," Sam said, his energy flaring to life. He turned to look at his team.

"What about you?"

"Hiss..." Darkrai's blue eyes turned red, and the dark shadows around it grew darker and heavier.

It usually stayed in the background, but it cared deeply about its team.

Lucario was the one it spent the most time with, next to Sam.

"Liiii!" Silver let out a piercing cry, its silver-white body glowing with bright light.

Out of everyone on the team, Silver was the closest to Lucario.

To the young Pokémon, Lucario was like a brother.

"Rooar!!"

Dragonite flapped its wings heavily, blowing angry puffs of white smoke from its nostrils.

It had lived for 1,500 years and had very few friends.

Lucario was one of the few partners it truly respected.

As for White Kyurem, it felt its master's rage. It roared fiercely.

"ROOOAAAR!!!"

Sam stood on White Kyurem's back and stared at Primal Kyogre in the sky. He stopped holding back his anger.

His voice was rough as he yelled one word: "Attack!"

White Kyurem immediately shot into the sky.

Darkrai, Silver, and Draco followed right behind it.

They charged fearlessly toward Primal Kyogre! Even if the enemy was a top-tier Legendary Pokémon, so what? They were going to fight!

"Zekrom, let's go too!" Cynthia commanded, and Zekrom joined the charge.

Feeling five strong bursts of energy entering the battlefield, Groudon and Kyogre both stopped fighting at the same time.
