Chapter 210 - Chapter 207: The Blue Beast of Konoha

Boom!

The wall caved inward from the sheer force.

Fragments of stone shattered and rained down around Might Guy's body as dust exploded into the air.

For a moment, the entire arena fell silent—as if everyone had lost their voice. No one had expected such a sudden turn of events.

Every pair of eyes in the arena was fixed on the spot where Might Guy had been slammed into the wall.

"…Guy-sensei?" Rock Lee's voice trembled faintly, disbelief flooding his face.

He had never seen this before in his short years of life—his sensei, his invincible mentor, had actually been sent flying in a contest of pure strength.

But suddenly...Cracks spread outward from the impact point like a spider's web, running across the arena wall.

Then…

A hand appeared at the side of the wall, gripping it tightly.

Stone crumbled and fell away as Might Guy slowly pulled himself out of the wall.

His feet landed firmly on the ground. If one looked closely, there wasn't a single real injury on him.

But his expression…

Had completely changed.

Gone was the usual goofy grin.

Gone was the exaggerated enthusiasm.

What remained was the face of a shinobi who had just been challenged at the very thing he had dedicated his life to.

"…That was a dangerous punch," Might Guy said quietly.

He lowered his arm.

The sleeve of his green jumpsuit had been completely torn apart, exposing his forearm.

The skin underneath was slightly red.

It wasn't serious—nothing that would hinder him in battle.

But it served as proof that the blow had carried immense force.

From the stands, Kakashi's expression turned serious as well.

His visible eye narrowed slightly.

He was already prepared to intervene if things escalated any further.

Not because he doubted Guy but because Lee was his student.

And Guy… was Lee's entire world.

Still—

'That strength…'

Kakashi's thoughts paused there.

What he felt wasn't just concern.

The shock he felt was just as much.

Kimimaro stood where he was, his bone spear still extended. His pale, emotionless eyes remained fixed on Might Guy.

"You actually managed to block it," Kimimaro said calmly.

Then, after a brief pause, he added,

"As expected of Konoha's Blue Beast."

His voice carried no surprise or admiration—just quiet acknowledgment.

Might Guy didn't respond immediately.

Instead, he stepped forward—one step at a time.

At first glance, it looked like nothing.

Just a shinobi walking forward.

But the pressure he emitted…was entirely different then before.

Rock Lee felt it instantly.

Even lying there, unable to move, his fists clenched tightly.

"…Guy-sensei…"

This was not the usual Guy.

This was the Guy who appeared only when someone he cared about had been pushed too far.

Kimimaro tilted his head slightly.

"You're strong,"

"But that doesn't give you the right to interfere."

"I will accomplish what I set out to do."

His killing intent didn't fade—if anything, it intensified. The reason was simple: in Kimimaro's mind, anyone who interfered was an enemy.

Crack.

Bone spikes slowly emerged from his shoulders and arms, piercing through his skin like living weapons.

Might Guy stopped walking.

He was now standing directly between Kimimaro and Rock Lee.

Like a protective unbreakable wall.

"This match is over," Guy said firmly.

Kimimaro's eyes narrowed slightly.

"…No."

Without a doubt, this was something he couldn't allow—because Lee was still alive, which meant the fight wasn't finished.

His body lowered slightly, entering a combat stance.

His intentions were clear to everyone present.

He would attack again.

From the stands, Yugao's eyes narrowed instantly.

Her hand moved to the hilt of her sword.

Below, Might Guy slowly exhaled as he raised his hands into his taijutsu stance.

The atmosphere around him shifted.

It was no longer that of a cheerful instructor.

It was the presence of a beast.

Kakashi's eye widened slightly.

'Guy…'

He recognized that stance.

And he knew exactly what it meant.

If this continued—

This would no longer be a Chunin Exam match.

This would become something far more dangerous.

Kimimaro didn't hesitate any longer. Since he had chosen to stand in his way, he should be prepared to die as well. He stepped forward, his speed swift and sudden.

His bone spear thrust forward, aimed directly at Guy's heart.

But—

"That's enough, Kimimaro."

"Commander Bones, calm down."

"Kimimaro-san… please stop."

Three voices rang out at once.

Golden chains shot forward, wrapping tightly around Kimimaro's body.

At the same time, ice began forming along his limbs, freezing his bones and locking his movements in place.

Another figure appeared beside him instantly—

Precise fingers struck his chakra points, disrupting his control.

Kimimaro froze—not because they had overpowered him, but because he recognized them. The killing intent in his eyes disappeared at once as his gaze shifted.

Karin.

Haku.

Hinata.

"…Stand down, Kimimaro."

Another calm voice spoke.

Kimimaro looked up.

Yugao stood above, her sharp eyes fixed on him.

Kimimaro stared at her and his teammates for a moment, his expression cold and unreadable.

Slowly…

The bone spear receded.

The spikes withdrew back into his body.

The killing intent vanished completely.

"…Understood."

Karin released her chains, stretching slightly.

"Geez, Commander Bones… don't scare us like that," she said with a grin.

Haku smiled gently as the ice melted away.

"It's alright now. You've calmed down."

Hinata lowered her head slightly.

"…I'm sorry, Kimimaro-san."

Kimimaro looked at her.

His expression remained blank.

"It matters not, Lady Hinata," he said calmly.

"You did what was necessary."

After a brief pause, he added quietly,

"…Thank you."

Karin immediately burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Look at him acting all serious again!"

The oppressive atmosphere vanished almost instantly.

It was as if the killing intent from moments ago had never existed.

From the stands, the Third Hokage slowly exhaled, then narrowed his eyes slightly.

'That boy… if he were truly unleashed inside Konoha… the damage would be catastrophic.'

Only now did everyone realize—

They had been holding their breath.

Kakashi glanced toward Yugao, then shifted his gaze to the rest of the Snow Hidden team.

'They stopped him… with such coordination, as if they had practiced it a hundred times over… interesting.'

Below, Might Guy suddenly scratched the back of his head.

"Ahaha… so, it's over now, right?"

Just like that—

The terrifying pressure disappeared.

The cheerful, carefree Guy had returned.

Hayate Gekkō stood silently for a moment.

Then he raised his hand.

"The winner…"

He paused briefly.

"…Kimimaro."

Whispers spread through the crowd.

"Wow…"

"That was terrifying…"

"I thought someone was going to die…"

"Yeah… me too…"

"Damn… that was scary. I almost shit myself."

"Speak for yourself. I think I actually did."

--

Down in the arena, Lee was still staring at Kimimaro.

"…I lost…

There was no bitterness in his voice.

Only frustration with himself.

Nearby, Guy suddenly appeared beside Lee in a blur, dropping to one knee.

"LEE!"

His loud voice echoed through the arena.

He grabbed Lee's shoulders, his face filled with exaggerated concern.

"Are you alright?! Are your bones broken?! Your organs intact?! Your youth still burning?!"

Lee blinked, and despite the immense pain tearing through his body, he still forced out a smile.

"…Yes, Guy-sensei."

Guy froze, lowering his head as his body trembled faintly.

Then..

Tears exploded from his eyes like waterfalls.

"LEE!!!"

He pulled Lee into a crushing embrace.

"You fought magnificently! Your youth shone brighter than ever before!"

Lee's eyes watered as well.

"GUY-SENSEI!!!"

The two clung to each other dramatically.

From the stands, several spectators stared in stunned silence.

"…They're doing it again," Tenten muttered with a helpless sigh.

"They never change… but still," Neji said with a faint smile, but his expression soon shifted as his gaze settled on the white-haired boy named Kimimaro, and whatever he had been about to say remained unfinished.

Hayate coughed lightly.

"Ahem. The next match will begin shortly. Please prepare the next participants."

Hayate's voice faded into the background as the medics began carrying Lee away.

The crowd slowly began to calm down.

But the image of the Snow Hidden Village boy going berserk refused to leave their minds.

--

Naruto Uzumaki—who had been arguing with Karin earlier about Rock Lee being a problem for Kimimaro—had been completely frozen the entire time.

His mouth hung open so wide it looked like his jaw might actually fall off.

"…What."

"…WHAT?!"

He suddenly grabbed his head with both hands and shook violently.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

His voice exploded across the spectator stands, instantly drawing attention from everyone nearby.

"That guy—THAT GUY—HE JUST PUNCHED BUSHY BROWS-SENSEI INTO A WALL!"

Naruto pointed wildly at Kimimaro like he had just witnessed the end of the world.

"THAT'S BUSHY BROWS-SENSEI! THE BUSHY BROWS-SENSEI!"

"He's even stronger than Kakashi-sensei!"

His voice cracked halfway through from sheer disbelief. In his panic, he didn't even realize he had just demoted his own teacher to emphasize his point.

Not far away, Kakashi—who had been minding his own business and had absolutely no intention of interfering with Naruto's usual stupidity—suddenly felt a vein twitch on his forehead.

His visible eye narrowed slightly.

…He heard that.

Naruto, completely unaware of the danger he had just created for himself, grabbed Sasuke's shoulder and started shaking him violently.

"Did you SEE that, Sasuke?! DID YOU SEE IT?!"

Sasuke's body swayed slightly from the force, but his expression remained calm.

"…Idiot. I'm not blind."

His voice was flat.

But inwardly…he was just as shocked.

Naruto released Sasuke and immediately grabbed Sakura next.

"Sakura-chan! Did you see that bone freak?!"

Sakura smacked his hand away without hesitation.

"Don't call him that!"

Her voice was sharp but even she couldn't deny the truth.

Her eyes drifted toward Kimimaro unconsciously.

"…He's terrifying."

Sakura swallowed hard, her body trembling faintly as the memory of his chakra resurfaced in her mind.

Meanwhile…

Kimimaro and the rest of the Snow Hidden team walked past them, heading toward their team leader, Yugao, to await the next matches.

Sakura held her breath, silently praying that this bone freak would just pass by without incident.

Unfortunately, the world clearly had other plans.

"Hey… you, wait!" Naruto suddenly called out.

Sakura's soul practically left her body.

Kimimaro didn't even look at him. He simply continued walking as if he hadn't heard a thing.

Sakura quietly exhaled in relief, thinking disaster had been avoided.

But then...

Naruto stepped forward and planted himself directly in Kimimaro's path.

"…Hey."

Sakura's face turned pale. Her fists clenched so tightly her nails dug into her palms. At that moment, she genuinely considered strangling Naruto with her own hands.

Kimimaro stopped.

His eyes shifted slightly, landing on Naruto with calm indifference.

"…Move," he said.

Naruto blinked, confused.

"…Huh?"

"I have no business with you."

Seeing Naruto still standing there like an idiot, Kimimaro simply stepped around him and continued walking.

Naruto froze in place.

"…What the hell…"

He had just been utterly ignored.

Like he didn't even exist.

Something inside Naruto snapped.

"DON'T IGNORE ME, YOU BONE FREAK!"

Instantly...

Three gazes locked onto him.

Each one carried a different kind of pressure.

Karin slowly cracked her knuckles, the faint sound echoing in the tense air.

"…Say that again… Blondie."

Naruto broke into a cold sweat immediately.

"…I TAKE IT BACK."

Not even a second of hesitation.

Seeing Kimimaro continue walking without a single pause, Naruto clenched his fists, his expression filled with frustration and humiliation.

"…Tch."

Ahead of him, Karin clicked her tongue and smirked faintly.

"He's not interested in weaklings."

Naruto's head snapped up instantly, all previous setbacks forgotten.

"I'M NOT WEAK!"

Karin didn't even bother looking at him. She simply shrugged, both hands in her pockets.

"Yeah… whatever."

She dismissed him as easily as Kimimaro had.

And somehow…

That irritated Naruto even more.
