Chapter 44 - 44. A Doctor's plea

Eiser glared at the doctor from behind the entire way he followed him to his room. He got a vague idea by his build and his suspicious contact with Captain Signet, that this doctor was strong.

"This way"

The doctor said as he opened the door to his room.

The doctor sat on the chair and told Eiser to come inside.

Eiser took a gulp, held his guard up, as he entered the room, sunlight from the front wall that also shined on the doctor's long diaphanous hair, sparkled into Eiser's eyes aswell.

He saw the doctor sit on the chair with his hands spread on the table ahead. The files that were scattered all over the table along with a small fresh plant on his desk, made Eiser relax abit.

"Please have a seat"

The doctor said as he pointed towards the brown sofa placed along the right wall.

As Eiser sat there, he continued;

"My name is Therdeo, you must be confused oh why i specifically called you inside my room but Please, i assure you that i have no split intentions. As you know, I've come here from Trankava, truthfully speaking, Conditions in Trankava are not very good. Me and my other comrades were out searching for strong people that could help us. That's why i am here."

Eiser took a deep breath as heard that,

"So where are those comrades you speak of?"

He inquired.

"Truthfully, I do not know myself. As we got saperated in the mountain ranges. The path here was difficult, and we were being followed, So we deviated and i ended up here. I was wandering around here, gathering information, that's when i went to the Police Station and met the frenzied Captain Signet.

I wamdered my eyes around, completely hopeless of finding anyone competent. But watching Captain Signet, i caught some hope. He talked about you people so fondly — It made me remember my people and promises. I stood quietly beside the wall, as my hood completely hid my face.

"We need a competent Doctor!! Argh.... Aren't there any competent Doctors around here! Go get me Doctors!!"

He was lashing out at his subordinates as he lit up a cigarette.

As soon as i heard that they needed a Doctor, i offered my help. I was hoping that if i help him out he might help me with his cause."

Therdeo chuckled, as he continued his story, "It was quite a hassle, turning him to my side, yknow. I had alread learned from the celebrations in the city that Hero Einer had finally taken down the Chained Dogs and liberated this country. Yet knowing that fact, i still placed my bets, that there must be some unkown party that took them down and Einer is just stealing that credit. I never thought that it would be a party of his very own little brother."

Eiser got goosebumps as he heard that, for somewhere in there, Hearing the name of Einer unsettled Eiser.

"So you thought that if you helped heal us up we might be able to help you out?"

Eiser inquired, his sharp gaze tensed Therdeo up, so he flinched.

"Yes that is true, Please, People of Trankava need heroes like you! We are being oppressed by the military for quiet some time now."

Therdeo added.

Eiser chuckled as he heard that,

"Oh please, we are no heroes, Yes, i do plan to go Trankava, but not because i intend to take care of your oppressors, but beacuse there is someone i must meet there."

The worry in Therdeo's eyes grew denser as he heard Eiser's response.

He suddenly bursted with tears, quietly trying to control his emotions. As Eiser continued;

"Yet now that I know about Trankava's state, Doctor, it depends upon you how fast my comrades can recover and we can continue our jiuney to Trankava!"

He said. As Therdoes eyes, watery and baffled with emotions met the determined one's of Eiser.

"Worry not, Doctor, i owe you for saving my comrades' lives. But if i help you out, we will be evn then wont we."

Eiser added as Therdeo jumped from his chair amd hugged Eiser. He cried loudly as he pressed Eiser against himself.

"Thank Youu!!!"

He cried and Eiser Chuckled.

After Therdeo wiped off the tears on his face, he found Eiser deep in thought, his hands crossed against eachother as his thumbs helped lifted his chin.

"What is it? You look concerned."

He asked.

At this, Eiser let out a sigh.

"I gotta ask, Just who is it that has got you so worked up, that you come to a neighborhood land to ask for help so desperately?"

He inquired.

As soon as Eiser asked this question, Therdeo's warm expressions suddenly appeared pale. He took a gulp as his arms started to tremble.

Meanwhile far off in the city of Teroba in Trankava, that fear and tremble that Therdeo had on his face, was far greater upon running for their lives. Abandoning their old houses. For those who didn't, were killed by constant bombing or being subdued under the rubble of their own destroyed houses for long.

"I-it all started when some rebels started to gather in the tall mountain ranges of Trankava from Southern Peninsilla. At first, they only stayed in the caves there but eventually and slowly, They started to come down in the towns and cities aswell. Trankava is mostly a barren land, not great for agriculture, people are not that rich. They rely on trade and domestic flock. Soon enough those viking rebels captured the whole of the borderland of Trankava and Peninsilla. People complained, The churches and the Police took action, for over six months the battle between them has been going on but the rebels are just too strong for the Grand Bastion and the Patriarchaty to handle. The one who leads them is a monster."

Therdeo explained with a breaking voice.

In Teroba, the sound of the yelling horn marked the start of another round of people's agony. Hundreds of Vikings riding on wild boars and rhinos came down from the mountains. Leading them was a man with long ginger braided hair, Clad in a fur of wild bear on his shoulders throughout his back that added bulk to his silhouette. Underneath was a thick leather chest piece reinforced with metal strips and a leather strap, stretched diagonally across his chest piece that hung his hammer and axe on his back. His forearms, that gripped the reins of his boar were covered in leather straps. He had left his huge veiny biceps without any need of a cloth, for they were the pride of a viking. He roared loudly as he marched down the hills from the midst of all the small houses and towns they'd destroyed and bombed. His lowerbody was protected was loin guard and leather strap belt that helped keep his baggy trousers in check, and heavy boots underneath that protected him from the cold of there.

With a huge smile he on his face he marched down. He unsheathed his double axe, raised it in the sky, as he saw some vans of Policemen down the hill stopping his parade. Yet that viking, electrocuted his axe with lightning and threw that beam at them. Hundreds of Policemen that stopped their march, had their heads cut off just like that. He roared again and laughed as they all went past the skull-less policemen, in the rain of fresh of blood.

"TRANKAVA IS OURS!!! WE ARE TRUE WARRIORS!!!!"

That man shouted as all of his companions roared with their raised up swords and axes.

Back inside the office, a frightened Therdeo completed his story, "The name of their leader is Thervos Crews".

He said as he saw Eiser ecstatic, sparkles all over his body and with a huge smile on his face.

"Why are you smiling?"

Therdeo questioned, curiously.

"Huh? Me? Heh... Who knows...."

Eiser replied.
