Merit
This is something that has always existed in legends.
In the legends of mortals.
There are often these two things: Karmic Force and Merit.
However, cultivators often do not believe in them.
To them, there are simply no such things as Merit and Karmic Force.
And certainly no eighteen layers of hell.
However, this is simply because cultivators are too far removed from these matters.
Ordinary cultivators, even if they massacre tens of thousands or even millions of beings, at most only cultivate Evil Qi.
Someone might rescue all beings, yet there would be no halo of Merit surrounding them.
But Zhong Heng vaguely knows.
The so-called Merit and Karmic Force may be deeper than people imagine.
Merit may be of several kinds, but what Zhong Heng can be sure of is that doing things beneficial to the Jiuzhou Cultivation Realm can earn one Merit.
As for Karmic Force, Zhong Heng knows little; he only knows it is the opposite of Merit.
