The two didn't say much but quickly separated.
Hua Yun arrived at the hunting cabin, placing her defensive weapons within easy reach, while holding the bow and arrow in her hand.
She half-squatted on the ground, quickly entering hunting mode.
On Chen Wen's side.
He was with the Golden Eagle.
Today's hunt didn't actually require the Golden Eagle, but it insisted on joining, so Chen Wen tasked the eagle with scouting and protecting Hua Yun in times of crisis.
The Golden Eagle happily accepted the task.
Chen Wen grabbed the rope fixed from yesterday and swiftly climbed onto a sturdy tree branch.
He straddled the branch, holding the spear, quietly observing the forest in the morning light.
One must admit, the late fall and early winter scenery of Lake Baikal was rather beautiful.
The forest, a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, was like a painter's palette with golden and green hues splashed wildly on nature's canvas.
