He regarded Koul with disdain. Since he was taller, his eyes bored down coldly on Koul.
After a moment, he moved to walk past Koul. Koul said nothing and was ready to walk away.
But Zetian, the Veltaurs' former son, paused.
"It hasn't even been a week long that they took you in, yet you already show your unruly side," he said.
His voice was low and quiet, like he wasn't letting out insulting words.
"Comport yourself to the best of your ability. Don't go dragging them into more trouble than they already are."
He moved to continue walking but Koul's loud scoff ceased him in place.
"Why should an outsider worry about the matters of another family?" Koul questioned.
His back was turned on Zetian and he didn't turn to even spare him a glance.
Zetian's face twisted uglily. But Koul wasn't about to stop there.
