Chapter 329 - Chapter 329: Gentle Shalltear, the Chat Group Flooded with Red Packets

Hmm, thinking about it this way, the benefits did seem considerable—but compared to that, they preferred improvement in talent and strength.

Although humanity and mutated beasts still maintained a certain equilibrium, with humans being stronger and more cohesive than the mutated beasts, no one knew how long this balance would last.

Only strength could truly put people at ease.

But was this rain—god-sent as it was—really that simple?

Uchiha Ten stroked his eyes.

In these eyes, three crimson tomoe spun within.

His bloodline had been elevated.

His Sharingan had evolved accordingly.

Though it hadn't reached the Mangekyo level, three-tomoe was already terrifying enough.

After all, this rain had fallen across all of Huaxia—he had only received a negligible share of its benefits.

Uchiha Ten didn't know if among humans or mutated beasts there were others like him, possessing certain special bloodlines—after all, his bloodline came from another world.

The Spiritual Energy Bureau's investigations had found no sign of such influence in any human or mutated beast.

Perhaps he was special; or perhaps such lives as his were simply too few.

In any case, this rain was far more than they had imagined.

Shalltear: "Everyone, I've crossed over."

Shalltear's voice in the chat group drew everyone's attention.

Shalltear: "The process was the same as in the memory copy. Now the entire Nazorick underground tomb has come to another world."

Shalltear: "The dual occupation was fortunately preserved, allowing me to change forms."

Shalltear: "At least I'm not like the memory copy, where I was an existence that could be seen and touched but never truly existed."

Although the warrior occupation hadn't been leveled to max in such a short time, Level 70 was sufficient in this world. He only wanted to preserve a human form anyway.

At least he wouldn't be like the memory copy, able to see and touch things but never truly interact.

He had no need for that at present, but he had to think about the future.

Since he had crossed over, it was time to fulfill what he'd promised.

*"Ding—Group member Shalltear sent a large red packet."*

*"Ding—Group member Shalltear sent an exclusive red packet."*

*"Ding—Group player Shalltear sent an exclusive red packet."*

*"Ding—Group member Shalltear sent an exclusive red packet."*

*"..."*

For the next while, the group members felt their ears assaulted by the sound of red packets—so constant they could barely hear anything else.

But was this sound annoying?

No!

Not at all!

They even wished it wouldn't stop.

After all, these red packets each contained something for them!

Shalltear: "The exclusive red packets contain some resurrection items and the items we'd agreed on before, as well as items with special properties."

Shalltear: "@Himouto Umaru, @Shato Shiina, @Akame, @Cooking Papa"

Shalltear: "I've placed some job-change certificates and skill books in your red packets—warrior, mage, thief, swordsman, priest, chef, and other occupations, along with corresponding skill books."

Shalltear: "I asked the chat group and received confirmation they can be used even in another world."

Shalltear: "However, since there's no leveling function to level up quickly, you can only accumulate experience through meditation, training, and practice. There may be other methods—ask the chat group."

Shalltear: "Since each person can only choose one occupation, any remaining certificates can be given to family and friends."

Since Umaru, Shato Shiina, and the others came from everyday worlds, Shalltear had chosen some job-change certificates and skill books for them, giving them a path to self-defense and strength.

And since he didn't know which occupations they preferred, he'd included one of each—though he knew Akame and Cooking Papa's preferences, so he'd specifically included swordsman and chef occupations.

In Cooking Papa's red packet, he'd placed a full five copies of the chef occupation certificate.

Himouto Umaru: "Surprise.jpg"

Shato Shiina: "Shiba-inu kowtow to the big shot.jpg"

Akame: "Do I have some too? Thank you!"

Umaru and Shato Shiina could barely express their excitement and joy.

In this chat group full of supernatural powers, they were still ordinary people.

Though they'd exchanged for some items to enhance their bodies, they hadn't mastered any supernatural abilities—for all practical purposes, they were just stronger and faster than average people.

That was enough for their everyday world, but their horizons had long since expanded beyond their own world.

They wanted the powerful abilities other group members had—the strength of gods.

Though through daily check-ins they could eventually exchange for some basic supernatural systems, it would take too long. If they could get stronger faster, why not?

The job-change certificates and skill books Shalltear gave them were essentially seeds of transcendence.

Not high in value, but for them, they were already extremely precious.

Akame also expressed her highest gratitude to Shalltear!

Because she'd chosen to cooperate with the Angel Civilization, granting them access to her world.

The Angel Civilization would be responsible for ensuring Earth civilization's safety, and she couldn't prevent the Angel Civilization from coming to her world.

Similar to Toki Kanami's Ghoul Civilization, there was nothing in Akame's world the Angels coveted—they valued each other's universes' resources.

For Toki Kanami and Akame, the resources of the solar system alone were already far beyond their reach, let alone beyond the solar system.

Earth civilization currently struggled to mine the moon's resources—resources beyond the solar system were out of the question entirely.

The Angel Civilization wouldn't mine them either, so they might as well let Earth civilization have them.

So of course they agreed.

As for why Akame hadn't chosen to join Morgana's Demon Civilization?

The slaughter at Huang Village in the memory copy made her feel the Demon Civilization's contempt for life.

Though she had an instinct for killing and loved killing, she wasn't cold enough to hand her world over to them.

She wasn't world-weary—if anything, her life was happier and more comfortable than most people's.

She simply couldn't convince herself to treat the world coldly.

If she hadn't joined the chat group, that would be one thing—but now that she had, if joining could make the disasters that would befall her world disappear, why wouldn't she?

Her killing instinct, her hunger for slaughter—she just needed an outlet.

If her world wouldn't allow it, she'd go to other worlds.
