"Fuck."
Kelly groaned the moment she landed, then moved to lean against a tree as she gasped for air. She was back at the very place she had crawled right of, the sound of an earth-shattering battle reaching her from the distance.
It sounded like the world itself was ending.
BOOM BOOM BAAAAAAA
There was no way she was going to ever survive the shockwave of that battle, and Kelly didn't want to be caught in its crossfires.
She gritted her teeth, letting the purple blades embedded into her arms dissipate into glowing purple moths of light. Blood began to flow down both her arms in thick rivulets, but she ignored the pain and made to stand on her feet.
Thinking about it, where was the horror that had hidden itself inside the fog. Shouldn't it have shown itself by now, maybe attempting to get her to kill herself again since it had failed the first time?
Or had it given up and was now letting her off? She surely hoped so.
