Trunks followed closely behind Beerus as they stepped into the room together.
Suddenly, the room was engulfed in an intense burst of light, and a mysterious magic formation lit up. Enveloped in the formation's glow, the room seemed completely cut off from the outside world. Everything outside the room was blocked from view.
"Now then, everyone, the teleportation is about to begin."
Whis waved his staff, addressing the group in a low, solemn voice.
Everyone nodded slightly. Their expressions were serious; they were already mentally prepared.
Beerus looked firmly at the warriors carefully selected by Trunks. At this critical moment, he said something completely different from his usual arrogant self.
"Everyone, I'll be counting on you to represent Universe 7."
His voice echoed through the silent room, carrying a heavy sense of responsibility and trust. Everyone widened their eyes in shock, staring at Beerus in disbelief. None of them had ever imagined that the proud God of Destruction would speak so humbly and sincerely.
Even the usually carefree Son Goku was surprised. Looking at Beerus, he muttered,
"Lord Beerus? So you have a side like this, too." Beerus snorted coldly.
"Tch! Don't forget about the plan Trunks mentioned. Whoever is with Piccolo must protect him."
"Got it, Lord Beerus." Son Goku made an OK gesture with his hand.
The formation's brilliance became increasingly dazzling, resembling sparkling stars in the night sky as its light flashed continuously. The next second, the ten figures were pulled into a mysterious vortex and disappeared without a trace.
Only Whis and Beerus remained, standing quietly in the vast room. Their figures appeared somewhat lonely and abrupt. Old Kai and the slightly nervous Supreme Kai, Shin, stood beside them.
"Lord Beerus, it's been a while since I've seen this side of you. Ho ho ho." Whis spoke softly, smiling faintly.
Beerus raised his head slightly, hands behind his back, and snorted disdainfully.
"Tch! Enough chatter. Let's move to the viewing area."
As soon as he finished speaking, Beerus stepped forward, ready to leave the room. But at that very moment, something unexpected happened.
The once peaceful room suddenly began shaking violently, as if a powerful earthquake had struck. Supreme Kai Shin looked stunned and terrified. With wide eyes, he muttered in confusion.
"What's happening?"
He looked down anxiously at his feet and sensed something strange.
The entire room was slowly rising upward.
Even the usually calm Beerus frowned and turned toward Whis, looking confused.
"Whis, what exactly is going on?"
Whis calmly explained,
"This is our viewing area, Lord Beerus. It was arranged by Marcarita. Right now, the entire room is ascending."
At that same moment, the resting areas of the other four universes underwent a magical transformation, instantly turning into towering spectator platforms.
However, this left Beerus quite puzzled.
These so-called viewing platforms were completely sealed structures, like gigantic boxes, which made it impossible to see what was happening outside.
He frowned and thought to himself,
"Raising the room to such a high position, yet we can't even see the arena, what's the point of that?"
Just as Beerus was filled with doubt, another miracle occurred. An enormous screen suddenly appeared out of nowhere inside the previously empty room.
As if imbued with magic, the screen clearly displayed the entire arena.
Every detail was visible.
"Wow! This design is amazing!" Supreme Kai Shin exclaimed in admiration. "I never expected such a clever arrangement."
Whis spoke up at that moment with a smile.
"This was carefully designed by Marcarita, who even prepared some delicious dishes from Universe 11."
As he spoke, Whis magically produced a small, delicate remote control from somewhere and pressed one of the buttons.
Immediately afterward, a dazzling scene appeared.
A large spread of fragrant, delicious food suddenly appeared before Beerus, as if by magic. Waves of tempting aromas were released.
However, Beerus felt that something was a little off for some reason.
But his body couldn't resist the temptation. He casually grabbed a piece of food and stuffed it into his mouth.
…
The arena
A snowfield.
A strikingly handsome man was teleported to the top of a towering peak. Trunks stood at the summit, looking down upon everything below.
From there, he could clearly see the entire area beneath him. Although arriving at the arena earlier meant they knew nothing about the four universes that had yet to appear.
On the other hand, being the first to enter the battlefield was also an advantage. Trunks carefully observed the snowfield and quickly familiarized himself with the battlefield.
From his vantage point, he could clearly see the different battle zones on the various modules.
Just as the rules stated, each module was separated from the others by barriers.
They were completely isolated from one another.
Strangely, from the outside, this snowfield hadn't appeared very large.
But once inside, Trunks realized that it far exceeded his expectations in size. His gaze extended into the distance. At the far end of the snowfield was the edge of the arena.
The only way to eliminate an opponent was to throw them off that edge.
Just then, a familiar voice sounded behind him.
"Boss?! You're here too!" Super Perfect Cell shouted excitedly as he flew toward Trunks.
Trunks blinked, locking eyes with Super Perfect Cell.
"That's great, boss! I didn't expect us to be assigned together. This is really exciting!"
Little Cell hugged Trunks's leg and buried his head in it.
Trunks looked somewhat speechless, and he spoke while slightly shaking his leg, "All right, that's enough. Let go." It looks like it's exactly as the rules said. Aside from you, I can't sense anyone else from our team."
Super Perfect Cell released Trunks's leg and said with a grin,
"Hehe, boss, when we run into those guys later, don't steal them from me! I want to have a proper fight with them!"
