Chapter 70 - 120

Chapter 120 The Lingering Ghost

The Banshee's children, who thought they were far from Drogon, dared not continue their slaughter after seeing their companions pierced through by Drogon, leaving a large hole in their bodies. They all moved away from Drogon, trying to escape the arena.

No matter how fast they ran, they couldn't outrun Zhuo Gengfei. Before they had run more than a few steps, they saw a small figure pass right through their chests. They looked down at the large hole in their chests before collapsing to the ground in despair.

The remaining Unsullied, recruits, and Jorah in the arena also witnessed Drogon piercing the Banshee's Sons, and knew that with Drogon's speed, it was only a matter of time before he killed them all.

They went from being hunted to being hunted, or they blocked the arena exits to prevent the remaining Banshee's children from escaping.

Within ten minutes, Zhuo Geng had killed hundreds of female demon children, yet he showed no sign of stopping.

Almost ten minutes later, when not a single Banshee's Son remained standing in the entire arena, Drogon stopped his slaughter and returned to Daenerys's shoulder.

Having pierced the bodies of nearly a thousand female demons, Zhuo Geng's body remained spotless, his dark red, eerie body still as smooth as a mirror.

Seeing Drogon return to her shoulder, Daenerys examined his body and was relieved to find only a tiny scar on the side of his new forelimb.

If it weren't for Zhuo Geng's timely rescue, she and her ministers would probably have died in the attack.

Tyrion and the others stared at the perfectly sculpted Drogon perched on Daenerys's shoulder, still reeling from the sight of the corpse with the large hole in the ground.

Iron Lady Yara witnessed Drogon's power for the first time. She saw not only his enormous and unharmable adult form, but also the terrifying destructive force of his juvenile form.

Before coming to Meereen, she had only heard that Queen Daenerys possessed three dragons, and knew nothing else. She never imagined that black dragons would be so terrifying.

Not only does it have four legs, but its appearance is also completely different from the other two dragons. It is impervious to swords and can change size. She could hardly imagine the terrifying destructive power that the black dragon would cause if it shrunk and broke into an army of ten thousand.

Although the others knew that Zhuo Geng was powerful, they were still incredibly shocked to see the corpses lying on the ground with holes in them. Zhuo Geng was becoming more and more powerful, and the speed of his transformation was increasingly astonishing to them.

Compared to Daenerys's ministers, the most surprised were the surviving spectators in the arena.

When Drogon appeared, he shocked them greatly, as his size and appearance were far beyond their expectations.

Not only were those who had never seen Drogon shocked, but the people of Slaver's Bay who had seen him before were equally astonished. When Drogon first arrived, they thought a dragon they had never seen before had come.

When they discovered that Drogon was helping Daenerys, they began to suspect that it might be Daenerys's black dragon, Drogon. They were completely certain of this only after Drogon shrank.

They couldn't understand why Drogon had changed so much. Not only were his appearance and color different from before, but he also had two more forelimbs.

The Banshee's Sons were wiped out, and the soldiers began to clear the arena, arranging the Banshee's Sons' corpses neatly, awaiting identification.

Daenerys did not rush to open the arena gates to let the survivors and spectators leave, but instead had them identify the banshee's son who had nearly killed them or their relatives and friends.

Looking at the nearly one thousand neatly arranged, pierced corpses, those who witnessed the bodies were once again shocked.

The spectators who were not released did not have much resentment towards Daenerys. Compared to those who died, they were already very lucky. Waiting a little longer was not a big deal, especially since Queen Daenerys's goal was to find more of the Banshee's Children to avenge them.

Daenerys ordered Grey Worm and Jorah to check on the situation in Meereen outside the arena to see if any other riots had broken out.

The other ministers did not leave the arena, but waited for Grey Worm and Jorah's findings.

In less than twenty minutes, Grey Worm and Jorah returned to the arena. There was no riot in Meereen, as the harpy's power was concentrated in the arena.

This was clearly a plot against Daenerys and her ministers, and it just so happened that it was launched while Drogon was not with Daenerys.

Otherwise, after witnessing Drogon's swift attack on hundreds of people during the last riot, they wouldn't dare launch another attack while Daenerys was under Drogon's protection.

According to the identification by the people of Slaver's Bay, only a very small number of the Banshee's Sons who participated in the attack came from the three cities of Slaver's Bay; the vast majority of them were unknown to them.

After the identification was completed, Daenerys ordered the Unsullied to allow the spectators in the arena to pass through. She instructed the Unsullied and the recruits to carry the bodies out of the arena and rearrange them, along with the bodies of innocent spectators.

The purpose is to allow the people of Meereen to identify the son of the banshee and claim the bodies of their relatives, while also making them see the evil deeds of the son of the banshee and prevent them from blindly joining them.

More than an hour later, the people of Meereen had finished identifying the participants, and the conclusion was similar to that drawn from the arena: the number of people involved in Slaver's Bay was not large.

The straight, reddish-brown hair of these unidentified individuals easily reveals their identities; they are likely from New and Old Gith, and are the main founders of the Harpy organization, having participated in the last riot.

They also attacked Yunkai and Astapo, but thanks to the assistance of Rego and Viserion in defending the cities, both places remained safe.

Daenerys was preoccupied with governing and stabilizing Slaver's Bay and had no time to deal with the old and new Gith. Unexpectedly, they repeatedly sent the Banshee's Sons to attack Meereen, and almost succeeded twice.

"Your Majesty, I believe we should send troops to New and Old Gith. They have twice plotted to attack us and have also attacked Yunkai and Astapor. If we do not send troops, the other city leaders, including the nobles of Westeros, will surely think you are weak and vulnerable, which will be very detrimental to your future unification of the Seven Kingdoms."

After everyone had analyzed the attack, Tyrion made a suggestion to Daenerys.

Daenerys, of course, understood the consequences Tyrion spoke of: once she, as queen, was perceived as weak and vulnerable.

Not only would it be detrimental to governing Slave Bay, it would also affect the search for allies, as no one wants to find a weak and incompetent ally.

Daenerys originally planned to cross the Narrow Sea and march into Westeros after governing Slaver's Bay, and never intended to fight the old and new Geths.

After all, her goal is King's Landing, the Iron Throne, and her former home was on Dragonstone.

One reason he stayed in Slaver Bay was that he didn't want the slaves he had freed to be enslaved by slave owners again. Another reason was that his military strength was still insufficient and he needed to conserve his strength.

Unexpectedly, while she wanted to govern Slave Bay peacefully, the nobles of both the old and new Giss did not want her to stay in Slave Bay and always wanted to drive her, the queen, away.

"If we attack Slaver's Bay, we will lose a lot of men," Daenerys said, expressing her greatest concern.
