But she was already sore. And he would not take her again so soon. Not like that. Not without restraint. So that led him to dress swiftly, every movement precise and controlled.
He turned to her once he was done getting dressed. "We will continue this conversation after the banquet." he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Do not think this matter is resolved."
Aurelia nodded faintly.
"And take care of yourself," he added, his voice softer now, though still carrying authority. "Today will demand much from you. The festivities, the guests… it will not be a quiet day."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"Make sure you eat. Do not let yourself grow weak trying to meet expectations. And do not exhaust yourself unnecessarily. Rest when you can. Do not neglect yourself."
There was something almost unfamiliar in his tone. Something that sounded… like concern.
"I will," she replied quietly.
