『Hakari Kotaro』
I pushed off the floor and flew into the skies, my flight feeling as familiar to me as the feeling of running, the wings of blood were far far stronger than normal wings thanks to Hemokinesis supporting them, allowing me to quickly zip over the horde of people frozen to the floor with ease.
""WHAT!? HE CAN FLY!? WHAT CAN THIS BOY NOT DO!?!?!""
I could all but hear the glasses flying off Present Mic's face as the crowd cheered even louder. The faces of my classmates and those of the other classes below me as I flew over them was a sight to behold Momo's mouth was open with o, a boy with blonde looked utterly outraged, a girl with orange hair looked shocked.
Of course, not all of the reactions to my flight ended with just expression.
"Annoying."
Todoroki, who was skating using his ice side tried to swat me out of the sky with an iceberg, but it was too slow. But then, I saw a fast projectile in the shape of a horn flying telekinetically through the air towards me, and even when I moved side to side, it still tracked, not automatically but like someone manually aiming it, and it was slightly faster than I was.
But I was not defenceless.
My wrist slit open while I replenished the blood in my body using Minor Aid, I formed a Slicing Exorcism and turned around for just a breath to shoot it at the horn and shatter it. But it was followed up by another horn, so I decided to just snip the problem at the root.
The horn was fast, but I'm pretty sure it's user was not. So... I just have to go faster. They couldn't control it towards me if they couldn't see me.
I formed two balls of blood the size of beachballs using inordinate amounts of blood and then slotting in Assign into the third slot. Assigning the first ball a -, myself + and the other ball +. The first ball in front of me and the other ball behind me, forcing them to follow me, they accelerated me due to the attraction and repelling, even if it was hard to control due to its clunkiness, it allowed to open the gap between me and whoever horny was that their horns could not follow me.
'"What the hell is he doing now!?!? Can Vlad King come up to the stand and tell us if Blood actually works like that!?" ""It does not, I'm his teacher, he is using Polarity with Blood to accelerate himself like a railgun."" ""That sounds badass!""
It was hard to not pay attention to them to NOT lose control and splatter against the wall, I dispelled the polarity to lessen the strain as I was already massive ahead of the others. Instead, I focused the blood for another purpose.
""He is so far ahead of the pack, but that may not be a good thing! After all he has to face the... robot villain field!!! Hopefully those rubber bullets and missiles don't swat Myriad Boy out of the sky!""
I came across the first obstacle of the race, a field of robots consisting of Zero Pointers and the other robots that we faced during the entrance exam of UA, and I did not want to get shot at by them, so I ducked down and started diving, increasing my speed massively while slotting in Iron Skin into the Second Ability Slot.
Pulling on my energy, I placed the two orbs in front of me while forming them into a cone shape and hardening them while also applying Iron Skin on it and my own body.
"Silver Chariot!!!"
Coming up with a name on the spot, I dove like a silver tinted missile, I ripped through a zero pointer and a dozen of other robots as if splitting the Red Sea and without slowing down significantly as I came out of the other end of the robot field with the blood mass I used as a lance gone. I dispelled the Iron Skin and felt sore but still kept my speed and curved around the curvature of the obstacle course.
""What a show! But how will the flying boy pass the fissures! Heh.""
The next obstacle was a pit with ropes to threat through, obviously it meant nothing to me as I flew over them. For the briefest of moments, I contemplated using Piercing Blood to cut the wires to slow others down but shook my head. No need to be a dick for no reason.
""Man, this obstacles course is really not designed for people being able to fly over them, is it?"" ""Most people would get tired flying such distances in a marathon while avoiding the robot. It is also remarkably hard to stay on the line while flying, it becomes a challenge of control instead.""
The next obstacle was the Minefield, and I decided to a put on a bit of a show for the crowd since I did not want to bore them, that's why I drew more blood from my wrist before gliding low altitude and shooting a slicing exorcism across the middle of the field, triggering over a dozen mines that I flew through the smoke of and got out on the other end of. Making a small path for people to follow as a charity to make up a little for crushing their dreams so ruthlessly.
""And he is already past the Minefield when the others are fighting robots! This kid is a speed demon!""
During the last stretch, I slowed down a little and curved around the corner to see the entrance of the stadium, I dived into the entrance and ended up in the middle of the stadium after crossing the finish line.
""And Hakari Kotaro gets first place!!!! That's gotta be a record!!!!""""It's not, but it's pretty close.""
I flinched slightly from the explosive sound of cheers that drowned out even the winds rushing by me as my face was displayed prominently in the massive screens in the middle of the stadium. I slowed myself by expanding the size of my wings to increase drag before changing their shape into spider legs to land safely.
CHEEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My jaw hung slightly open at the sight of so many people cheering for me.

『Mt. Lady』
"You look happy, Mt. Lady."
A hero she did not know the name of next to her exclaimed as she bit down on her takoyaki balls with gusto. She was in the booth reserved for Professional Heroes, and it was free admission, not only that, it gave her the opportunity to slack off without having anyone bug her or blame her for it.
No villain was stupid enough to commit crimes on the day of the UA Sports festival, because if they did, they would be meeting heroes that were significantly more pissed off than normal due to being taken off their watching session.
Apparently, Pro Heroes, especially ones that express interest in taking interns from UA got free tickets. And she managed to get free Takoyaki from a vendor using her impeccable feminine wiles.
As for watching the sports festival itself, she supposed it was pretty cool, but not exactly something at the top of her list. She watched it like most people, but she was not exactly a sports fan.
But this time, something caught her attention especially.
"Hey isn't that kid... what's his name? He seems really familiar to me."
Kamui Woods sitting next to her raised a woody eyebrow at her and looked at the person she was pointing at, a rather tall boy with yellow hair like the mane of a lion and impressively intimidating eyes. Something that caught her eye was the scars on his arms.
"Him? He is Hakari Kotaro, the top of the First Years, scored first at the entrance exam and apparently his grades are among the highest from the Hero Course ever. Of course, you've seen him before, I sent you his profile in the group chat talking about offering him a spot at my agency.'"
She sheepishly scratched her head. She had just marked everything in the groupchat as read without checking.
"Hehee, yeah... I mean other than that. Seriously why does he remind me so much... WAIT! It's that kid! You know? Him!"
The realization struck her like a bolt of lightning, she had mostly forgotten about that day, it was mostly scaring away the Yakuza, but it still stuck with her due to just how beaten up and torn apart the boy she rescued was. It was all over the news, though mostly the clips of him using the city as a monkey gym, and not her heroically stepping in to save him. She even helped carry him to the hospital.
"What are you talking about, Mt. Lady?"
She pointed at him wildly.
"Yeah! It's definitely him! That Hikari kid! I thought his quirk was like, monster arms or something. I saved him back then, remember? On the news? The human trafficking case that I stopped just by showing up?"
He rubbed his chin inclined his head thoughtfully.
"Oh, now I remember. Yes, it indeed might be young Hakari, and for the record, his quirk is called All in One, apparently it lets him use a selection of quirks he unlocks over time, its quite a powerful. And I heard he is really skilled with it, he is definitely a contender for a future top 10 hero. I am quite eager how he measures against Endeavor's son."
Before Yu could say anything further, the race started and everyone took off, some people caught her attention like Endeavor's boy effortlessly suppressing everyone or the boy with the grape balls being surprisingly nimble with an underpowered quirk, but her eyes couldn't help but stay on the boy she saved who was still hanging back while stretching, as if he didn't even hear the word go.
"What the hell is he doing! He is making me look bad!"
"You?"
Yu crossed her arms and turned up her nose.
"Isn't it clear? I am a benefactor of his... of sorts. Kinda. I'm responsible for him. Yep."
Kamui rubbed his nose, but both of their attentions were stolen by two wings of crimson erupting from his shoulders, and then he flew, somewhat resembling hawks as he streaked through the sky like a red rocket.
She couldn't help but stare dumbfounded as he turned the corners precisely and with practiced ease of someone that has been flying for years and not days. And then she saw what he did, he ripped through a throng of robots like a drill without even slowing down.
Yu got up from her chair and pointed at the screen while puffing up her chest like a well endowed peacock.
"Yeah! That's my boy!"
Kamui facepalmed, but she did not care as her thoughts raced. That was definitely the boy she saved, and she couldn't help but notice his handsomeness that made even her cheek flush a little. but that was not what she was focused on.
He was a shooting star in the hero world, she knew he would be, her PR was great, but she could only leverage her incredible ass for so long until it became the norm. But Hikari, what if she managed to get him as her sidekick? Asides from the pros of having a handsome and cool hot-blooded young man as her sidekick which was a MASSIVE plus, it would give her immense PR, which she needed after she tripped and brought down that powerline.
'Oh yeah, it's all coming together.'
A/N: Hakari is kinda cracked at this, he hard counters literally everything but that does not there aren't any potential close calls. Still, Greater Hemokinesis is showing it's sheer utility and power fully. And this is not even all. Also, Hakari is still trying to cope with the whole lens of heroism, he was never forced to confront it like this before.
Mt. Lady is back! And she is certainly making one hell of a re-entrance. She is fun, she is a tease, but she truly is not a bad person, she is a bit vain and prideful, but when the gloves come off, she is willing to put her life on the line for others. She will definitely be a good foil to Hakari. What did you guys think about her? I wanted an audience reaction bit.
