Chapter 850 - Chapter 850: Human Society Was Born of War, and War Will Ultimately Lead to Progress

In the air was Draco Malfoy, riding a fire dragon.

On the ground stood a host of Death Eaters led by Barty Crouch Jr.

One side was Draco, intent on settling this battlefield as quickly as possible so everyone could join forces to defeat Voldemort.

The other was Barty Crouch Jr. and the others, afraid that suffering too many losses would disappoint their great master.

A clash of equals.

Aside from the Dark Lord and the Werewolf leader, this was the battlefield drawing the most attention and concern.

It could even be said that whichever side won here would decide the course of the war.

...

Draco narrowed his eyes as he hovered in midair.

To be honest, he was not the least bit surprised to see Barty Crouch Jr. step forward to stop him now.

Even if they could watch their so-called comrades die meaningless deaths, they could not face the Dark Lord's wrath.

So this development was something Draco had expected from the beginning.

Just then, Hermione's worried voice came through the badge on Draco's collar. "Draco, are you really all right over there? Should we send Delacour's flight squadron to help you?"

"No. Keep following the original plan."

"But..."

"Trust me, Hermione. Norberta's help is enough."

Roar~~

As if she understood perfectly, Norberta let out a well-timed dragon roar.

Hermione, who had still wanted to say something, swallowed her words.

It was not only because she knew she could not easily persuade Draco, but also because Barty Crouch Jr. had launched an attack on Draco in the sky.

...

Wizards often gave the impression of being rigid, unwilling to learn, and resistant to progress.

Even Dumbledore, who did not hold much hostility or contempt toward muggles, had never truly thought about understanding everything about them in depth. It might not have been obvious, but when it came to how he viewed muggles, he was not much different from most wizards.

Perhaps he did not exactly look down on them from on high, but he still dealt with muggles with a certain measure of arrogance.

From another perspective, however, this was not entirely unreasonable.

After all, when someone possessed power and magic that could control muggles at will, would anyone else really think differently?

In the end, wizards were merely humans who possessed extraordinary power.

That was human nature.

But as the saying went, human society was born of war, and war would ultimately lead to progress.

The Death Eaters, who had once been brutally crushed by Draco's aerial combat, naturally could not have failed to consider what they should do if they encountered the same situation again.

Of course.

As long as they were not brainless Trolls, they were bound to prepare for it.

Flying Dementors were one such option, but because Pansy's unit was assisting from the side, these creatures with extremely serious weaknesses could only remain on the edge of the battlefield and watch.

Simply put, because of the combat units Draco had assembled, all of Barty Crouch Jr. and the others' original plans had failed.

Whether it was the Dementors being watched closely, or the giants and dark creatures pinned down by the Centaurs' hail of arrows, all of it had been neutralized by Draco's preparations.

In a sense, Draco had relied on his own plan and the Draco Constellation under him to reverse the disadvantage across the entire battlefield.

As a result, Barty Crouch Jr. and the others had no choice but to use their final backup plan against Draco in the air.

As for the method, it was very simple.

If they could not beat him, they would join him!
