Chapter 870 - Chapter 870: The One Draco Had Been Waiting For

Compared to Draco's side, the other battlefield had not fallen into a stalemate.

Because of Draco's arrangements, along with Barty Crouch Jr.'s sudden defeat, the tide of battle was gradually falling under Hermione and the others' control.

It could be said that, aside from Lupin's heated battle with the Werewolf leader, and the Death Eaters led by Bellatrix Lestrange being held back by the elites of the Order of the Phoenix, Voldemort's dark army had been almost wiped out under Hermione's command and with the help of the Centaurs.

Fleur flew over to Hermione on a Broomstick and called out, "Those Trolls have all been dealt with. What's the next plan?"

Hermione was in charge of commanding the battlefield, while Fleur rode her Broomstick to relay messages.

Although neither of them was fighting directly, the effect produced by their cooperation was far more than simply one plus one.

As their coordination improved, the Draco Constellation defeated enemies faster and faster, while their own losses grew smaller and smaller.

It had to be said that the Draco Constellation's performance truly stunned every wizard around them.

Who could have imagined that a group of young wizards who had not even graduated yet could accomplish something like this?

Not to mention, the wizard who had dealt with Barty Crouch Jr. was none other than the leader of the Draco Constellation, Draco Malfoy.

...

In any case, as the enemy's numbers dwindled and the situation turned around, Hermione, who had been under tremendous pressure all this time, could finally relax slightly for the moment.

Hearing Fleur's question, Hermione instinctively looked toward the battlefield where Draco was. "As much as I hate to admit it, the truth is that I've already done everything I can... The rest can only depend on Draco."

After the last battle with Snape in the Chamber of Secrets, Hermione had also come to understand the gap between herself and those powerful wizards. That was not a battlefield where wizards like them could interfere, nor was it an enemy that could be defeated simply by having more people.

Although that thought was rather disheartening, Hermione knew very well that this was the cruel reality laid out before everyone.

So even though Hermione understood what Fleur's question meant, she did not let concern cloud her judgment and order the Draco Constellation to help Draco.

She knew it would be useless.

And Draco knew it too.

In fact, Fleur knew it just as well.

Just then, Pansy, who had been listening in on their conversation through the Draco Constellation badge, spoke while keeping her eyes fixed on the Dementors in the distant sky. "Are we just supposed to stand here and watch, Granger?!"

There was a tremor in Pansy's voice.

It was no wonder Pansy was losing her composure.

After all, no one understood the Dark Lord's power and danger better than a Slytherin. Not to mention, the one fighting Voldemort was the person she cared about most.

For once, Hermione did not argue with Pansy.

After a few seconds of silence, Hermione murmured, "Aside from that person... the only one I can think of now is that person."

As if she had suddenly remembered something, Hermione began scanning the battlefield.

Her movement looked as though she was trying to find someone.

Until...

She saw a wizard dressed in an extremely flamboyant outfit, so out of place on the battlefield that he looked absurd.

Only then did Hermione understand the arrangement Draco had mentioned before.

Or rather, the wizard Draco had been waiting for.

A top hat.

A purple wizard's robe.

It was Gilderoy Lockhart, dressed as if he had come to attend some banquet.
