Cherreads

Chapter 283 - 283

As Jason stepped onto the stage, the entire hall erupted. The streamers of Infinity Media were buzzing with excitement, and the eyes of the female streamers sparkled openly.

"Oh my god… so he's not a streamer at all?"

"I knew it! There's no way someone this handsome could be unknown in streaming. Turns out he's the boss."

"This is illegal. The boss is way too good-looking."

"Infinity Media's valuation is over three billion, right? And he owns 100% of it?"

"Our previous boss didn't even have thirty percent control, did he?"

Whispers spread rapidly. Streamers stared at Jason with undisguised awe.

In the influencer world, people were pragmatic to the extreme. If a man was just another streamer who earned less than them, then no matter how handsome he was, the goodwill would be limited. Deep down, many would even feel he wasn't worthy. If he earned about the same, he was considered an equal. But if he earned far more—then the rules changed completely.

That was why some average-looking male streamers, simply because of their revenue, were surrounded by beautiful women. And Jason wasn't just earning more. He was the man who had casually acquired the entire Infinity Media for over three billion dollars. Which meant one thing very clearly: his assets were far beyond three billion.

Jason raised his hand slightly. The hall gradually quieted. He smiled calmly and spoke.

"I know this news is sudden, but there's no need for anyone to worry. The company's development direction will not undergo drastic changes. Your existing benefits will not be reduced—not even by a cent. On top of that, we are adding something new. Humane management."

A ripple went through the crowd.

"First, all unfair clauses from the previous management have been removed. As long as you haven't violated your contract, once it expires, whether you stay or leave is entirely your choice. There will no longer be hidden clauses forcing you to pay absurd liquidated damages. I want you to stay because Infinity Media treats you well—not because you're trapped by coercive contracts. For those who have already signed old contracts, don't worry. You may contact the legal department to re-sign under the new terms."

At the perfect moment, Olivia activated the screen behind him. The revised contract clauses appeared in clear, highlighted sections. The venue exploded.

Contract issues were taboo in MCN companies. Even when Infinity Media had faced controversy over unfair contracts before, management had tried desperately to suppress discussion. Putting everything on the table—publicly—was unheard of.

Streamers who had grown used to pressure, exploitation, and silent endurance suddenly didn't know how to react. Many of them had already consulted lawyers privately and knew exactly how problematic the old clauses were. Now, those clauses were gone. Completely.

Even company executives and invited advertisers were shaken. Several managers rushed toward the stage, whispering anxiously, trying to persuade Jason to reconsider. Advertisers were nervous too. If Infinity Media "went soft," would it lose its edge? Would performance drop? Would their interests be affected? Some streamers even thought Jason was crazy. This didn't look like capitalism at all.

Jason, however, remained unmoved. "This decision is final, and it takes effect immediately."

His approach truly didn't resemble a capitalist. But that was because he never intended to be one. Jason had always despised exploitative contracts. And with wealth on this scale, there was simply no need for such tactics.

For ordinary people starting businesses, survival often demanded ruthlessness—even sacrificing morality. But for someone whose money had long since become just a number? Why bother? Money, to him, was a tool. Freedom was the goal.

And beyond that, doing this would massively increase goodwill. It aligned with his own beliefs, and it accelerated the completion of his objectives. Why squeeze employees for profit when simply following his heart was easier, cleaner, and far more rewarding?

The streamers present were stunned for a long moment. It took several seconds for everyone to finally realize Jason wasn't joking. The silence shattered all at once as the entire venue erupted into thunderous cheers.

Meanwhile, Alice and Angela stood frozen. They had thought Jason was bold before. Now they realized—this wasn't boldness. This was absolute confidence.

Angela felt even more anxious. Infinity Media was becoming better by the minute. If she were pushed out now because of job-hopping… the loss would be immeasurable.

Jason raised his hand again, and the hall slowly quieted. He continued calmly, "Second—development support. On top of existing resources, we've introduced multiple strong partners. Endorsements, brand ads, offline events, IP collaborations—covering every streamer category. These resources will not be monopolized. As long as your data and performance are solid, you'll have access. You can review the partner list later."

At that moment, Olivia tapped the control panel. The massive screen behind Jason lit up. And then the entire wall was filled.

The streamers' eyes widened instinctively. Even the management—who moments ago had been pacing in panic—fell completely silent.

The partners included Cloud Technology, Grand Hotel Group, and countless others—all companies either owned by Jason or where he held significant influence. The screen couldn't even fit everything at once. Shock rippled through the room.

What kind of terrifying capital network was this? How could someone finalize this level of cooperation immediately after an acquisition? Infinity Media had accumulated for years—yet it never possessed anything even close to this foundation.

Jason added casually, "Oh—and everything in the top row are my companies. They're all part of my business group, so you don't need to worry about contracts being revoked or partnerships collapsing. The bottom row belongs to friends. Under normal circumstances, cooperation there will also be long-term."

For a split second, the entire hall went blank. What… did he just say? That entire top row… were all his companies?

Someone pulled out their phone. Then another. Then dozens more. Verifying this kind of claim was easy. Search a company name—Chairman: Jason Carter. Another one—Chairman: Jason Carter. Again. Again. Again.

The realization struck simultaneously: their new boss wasn't just rich. He was inhumanly rich.

Charlotte's charming eyes seemed to melt completely, shimmering like water under light. Without saying a single word to her—without even looking at her twice—Jason had directly captured the complete admiration of a top female streamer.

Name: Charlotte

Age: 20

Looks: 8.7

Height: 168 cm

Weight: 50 kg

Goodwill: 0 → 80

Ex-boyfriends: None

STDs: None

What surprised him even more was that the famously seductive Charlotte had never had a boyfriend. That realization made even Jason pause for half a beat. Interesting.
