Chapter 325 - 324

Jason led Julia, and the two of them strolled along the winding paths together. The scenery was breathtaking—mist drifting over the water, white villas hidden among greenery, everything looking straight out of a fairytale.

It had to be said that the Will Group really knew how to spend money. Or maybe it wasn't their taste at all, but the genius of the designer they hired. These days, as long as you had enough cash in the U.S., you could turn any fantasy into reality.

As Jason quietly kept the Spirit Gathering Array running, system notifications chimed nonstop in his mind.

"Spiritual energy concentration: 1.5. Abundant spiritual energy. An excellent location for a secondary Spirit Gathering Array. Recommended to deploy again."

"Spiritual energy concentration: 1.6… 1.8… 1.9… 2.1…"

The entire island was saturated with spiritual energy. Even the outer edges were above 1.3, while the central zone reached a shocking 2.1.

Jason was extremely satisfied. Buying Moonrise Island had been an absolute steal. If America's top billionaires knew about spiritual energy, the auction price would have blown past two billion dollars without hesitation.

Without wasting time, Jason set up another Spirit Gathering Array. That was the beauty of the system—one thought, and it was done.

"Do you like this place?" Jason asked casually, gently squeezing Julia's hand.

"It's like a paradise," Julia said honestly, then hesitated. "But… eight hundred million dollars is still way too much."

"You already know how to worry about my money," Jason teased with a grin. "At this rate, you're qualified to be my future housekeeper."

Julia flushed instantly, her ears turning red.

Jason leaned back in a nearby rocking chair and patted his thigh. After a moment of hesitation, Julia shyly sat down on his lap. Jason wrapped an arm around her slim waist and pulled her closer, lowering his head to kiss her softly.

Jason genuinely wanted to take things slow with her. But emotions had a way of heating up, and Julia—though nervous—didn't pull away.

"Relax," Jason laughed quietly, standing up with her in his arms. "We've got all the time in the world."

The two disappeared into the master bedroom, the afternoon sun slowly sliding westward.

Near the island's dock, at a milk tea shop by the marina, Wanda, Molly, and Renee waited for hours.

It wasn't until evening that they finally saw Jason walk out with Julia. Julia looked radiant, her happiness impossible to hide, a shy sweetness clinging to her expression as she stayed close to Jason's side.

The three women exchanged knowing looks.

Wanda immediately guessed that Jason must be very… capable, judging by how glowing Julia looked.

Renee, more experienced than the others, noticed something else entirely. That innocent, flustered glow wasn't something you could fake. It was almost certainly Julia's first time crossing that line.

When Jason and Julia entered a nearby luxury mall, the three women followed at a distance.

Wanda didn't rush to talk to him. That would've been too obvious. Instead, she carefully engineered "coincidental" encounters—appearing beside Jason again and again, as if fate kept placing them on the same path.

It was a classic trick from elite social training classes: simple, elegant, and effective.

Wanda's looks, outfit, and makeup were flawless. Her pure, sweet appearance made those repeated encounters feel natural rather than forced. And once familiarity set in, all it took was the right moment to start a conversation—and make a man's heart skip just a little faster.

After waiting for a long time, the opening finally appeared.

While Julia went to the restroom, Wanda stepped forward, her smile sweet and practiced."Hey, handsome, could you help us take a group photo?"

"No," Jason Carter replied flatly.

"Thanks—"Wanda's smile froze mid-air.

She had already subconsciously assumed he'd agree. In her mind, the next steps were lined up perfectly:

During the photo, strike a balance between innocent and alluring—long legs, a hint of cleavage, just enough to show off without looking cheap.Afterward, praise his photography skills, ask if he was a professional. Then casually suggest taking photos together next time at a nearby Instagram-famous spot…

But Jason had simply said no.

What kind of man refused a request like that? Even out of politeness, most would agree—especially when asked by a beautiful woman.

Wanda stood there stunned for several seconds before recovering."Come on, it's just a few photos. Won't take much of your time," she said lightly. "I'll treat you to milk tea afterward."

"I don't drink milk tea," Jason replied.

Wanda paused, then laughed."Wow, you're really something. Turning down a girl like that—first time I've ever seen someone so… unique."

"Really?" Jason said indifferently. "Then I guess you're all talk and no follow-through."

With that, he turned and walked away.

Wanda remained rooted in place, her expression stiff as the air-conditioned wind brushed past her. What just happened?

Was Jason really that much of a straight-laced guy?Or… had she messed up somehow and lost his interest entirely?

This perfectly illustrated the golden rule of quietly pocketing simp money. If you openly flatter and fawn, women think you're cheap. If you secretly improve yourself with it, even when they criticize you, they won't dare object—only doubt themselves.

Molly walked over, staring at Jason's retreating figure in disbelief."Is it possible that he's been surrounded by beautiful women for so long that he's developed a total straight-man personality?"

Renee shook her head, seeing through it immediately."It's not that he's straight. He's just not interested in Wanda."

Molly thought about it—and had to admit it made sense.

Wanda was undeniably outstanding. She could hook a rich second-gen heir in seconds at a party. But compared to the women around Jason, she simply didn't stand out.

Especially Julia.

Not only was she leagues above in looks, but she had that clean, untouched aura—pure and natural. The kind of charm you couldn't manufacture, no matter how elite the training.

Hearing this, Wanda snapped back, unwilling to accept it."How could he not be interested in my looks and temperament?"

Renee replied calmly,"Then think carefully. When you got close earlier, Jason and Julia were constantly teasing each other, flirting effortlessly. Does that look like a clueless straight man to you?"

Wanda opened her mouth… then fell silent.

As much as she hated to admit it, Jason's emotional intelligence was obvious. He wasn't dense at all—he was just selective.

Renee quietly took out her phone and called Sweetie, the group admin. She hadn't come along just to accompany Wanda; reporting the situation was part of the plan.

A moment later, Wanda's phone rang.

"Wanda," Sweetie said flatly, "you failed. Withdraw. We'll assign you a new target."

"What?" Wanda said sharply. "Why should I quit? I don't want to."

"With this first impression, there's basically no chance of recovery," Sweetie replied."Our intel confirms Jason isn't straight—he just doesn't like you. Listen to me. We'll find you another suitable target. If you insist on staying without our support, you may not even be able to get near him next time. Resources won't be allocated to you."

Wanda's face darkened. She didn't dare openly defy Sweetie, but resentment boiled inside her.

Grinding her teeth, she said,"Fine. Then who are you sending next? I'll stay and see whether she can really succeed."

"You can watch," Sweetie said coldly. "But don't cause trouble. You know the consequences."

The call ended.

Immediately after, Sweetie sent a message to a senior member in another private group.

A few dozen seconds later, a reply popped up.
