"You think I didn't tell her that? She won't listen. She is adamant on it." Rowan fumes from the other line.
"But she just came back. I can't let her walk to the center of all this fuckery." I rub my face.
"Apparently, she won't just sit and wait around while everything spirals out of control. And she said, and I quote, "I am the former Alpha's sister. If someone should take responsibility for his mistakes, that's me. She just came back to us, and instead of living normally, she wants to send a message to the werewolf community." Rowan lets out an agitated sigh.
I understand his worries. He just got his mother back only for her to openly challenge the system that may not accept her decisions. But I admire my auntie for trying to go against the rules made up by incompetent people.
