"Lyra?" I feel a light tap on my shoulder, prompting me to turn around. I look up at Rowan, who is staring at me like he never had before, horror.
He looks horrified by what he sees in my eyes and instinctively takes a step back, his mouth opening and closing.
"We need to get back home. Your spell isn't enough; we need to get Cyrus home, alright?" He forces a small smile, his voice softer than I have ever heard him speak it.
I hear a loud gasp, and my eyes dart to Sam whose lids are still heavy. His mouth is wide open as he stares me from head to toe, and he visibly shivers.
"Luna, are you okay?" Aiden carefully asks; he is the only one who has managed to conceal any horror he is feeling.
I only nod my head, and all three of them let out a sigh they had been holding.
"I've called for backup. They must be arriving soon." Rowan informs me.
"I can open the portal." I offer, and that's when I hear my voice.
Cold and detached. Is that how I look too?
