Aurora stood in her room, looking out the window. She looked worried just a bit.
Kiro entered.
KIRO:"You look on edge."
AURORA:"It's nothing. Something from my past."
KIRO:"You want to talk about it? I'm not a good listener. But... does it have something to do with before we met?"
AURORA:"You're right. It's a long story. I've been there too the Special Forces base. I've seen the horrors."
She paused.
"It started way back. When the government took my hometown."
Three years ago — (Candoria)
Explosions tore through the city. Buildings burned. Fires raged.
Two extremely dangerous fighters stood on the front lines on the enemy side.
Their identities were unknown.
Multiple airstrikes rained down from above. Then a dark figure flew through a building, punching through walls like paper.
One man on the ground laughed.
ENEMY FIGHTER:"So you're the King's Royal Guard? You're no match for me."
A wise old man stepped forward, shielding Aurora.
OLD MAN:"Aurora run! We'll cover you!"
His voice cracked.
"He's way too strong."
Aurora started running. Tears streamed down her face.
AURORA:"Someday... I'll be back."
The old man watched her go.
OLD MAN:"Go get help. There are a lot of strong people in this world. It's as big as you imagine it, my little girl."
He turned to the knights.
OLD MAN:"KNIGHTS DEFENSE STANCE!"
All five knights stood tall. Their gold armor grew cyberware expanding. Shields formed. Spears extended from their arms.
KNIGHTS:"WE'RE READY, BIG BOSS!"
The enemy fighter closed his eyes. Arms stretched out. Flexed.
His skin turned black.
Then in fast motion his arm vibrated at high speed.
He punched.
Hit their shields.
The knights with spears stabbed him sent him flying back.
Steam hissed from his mouth.
ENEMY FIGHTER:"Ahhhhh..."
Two royal guards rammed him sent him through a wall.
BANG.
The old man reached out his arm.
OLD MAN:"Combined Royal Gun!"
All the knights fell down.
Fusion complete.
The enemy fighter got up. Steam poured from his mouth. No injury. Just steam.
ENEMY FIGHTER:"YES! YOU'RE ALL DONE!"
He paused.
"WHAT IS THAT? A GOLD CANNON?"
BANG.
A blast tore through the wall.
Out of the city.
The enemy fighter looked down.
The enemy fighter looks down. The city is below him getting smaller.
ENEMY FIGHTER: "What just happened? I'm falling off this city... and steam is coming from my body."
He touches his chest. Steam rises from his skin.
ENEMY FIGHTER: "What I'm falling? Just when the fight was getting started."
Aurora was a good distance away. She held her EMP device the future Omega Artifact.
She ran.
A man in black clothes stepped in her path. His tongue flicked out.
SNAKE MAN:"You, girl. Stand down or else."
He grinned.
"Easy way... or hard way."
Her gauntlet activated.
The Snake Man lunged spit flying.
She dodged.
Aurora charged. Her gauntlet hand pulsed with energy. She punched once as he got close.
SNAKE MAN:"AHHHHHHH!"
He convulsed. Shocked. Couldn't move. Turned human again.
She ran.
SNAKE MAN:"Get back here!"
Two dark figures approached.
A man floated in the air.
Soldiers on the ground saw him. Sweat dripped. Eyes wide.
SOLDIER 1:"Bob... they're here. Let's run."
SOLDIER 2:"Speak for yourself I'm out! Why are they so early?!"
The man in the air watched.
AIR MAN:"Cowards. Why leave just because the Knights of the Round Table are here?"
He scoffed.
"How pathetic."
He looked down.
"Hey, King take this!"
He charged his arm energy blast building.
He fired.
The blast shaped into the First King and deflected.
Right back at him.
No damage.
The Air Man's eyes went black.
His body became dark fog. He only saw darkness. Gravity increased.
He dropped from the sky.
CRASH.
The dark figure landed.
DARK FIGURE:"King stand down."
Then the floor went dark. The whole ground buildings included was swallowed in shadow.
The King summoned a massive mech. The suit reacted darkness grabbed his arm.
Then it absorbed the darkness.
The mech grabbed him pulled him into its core.
KING:"NOW I'M READY TO FIGHT. THIS IS A PROTOTYPE TO FIGHT YOU KNIGHTS."
Then an icy shadow came from above. A sword was thrown. It froze everything.
The entire area. Spreading across the whole city.
The old man froze frozen solid with his loyal guard.
Aurora saw it.
The ice.
The agent chasing her frozen in place.
She got on the airship. It blasted away.
In that split second, she saw it
A dark shadow floating. A figure growing wings.
The old man's eyes turned white.
His grey hair turned pure white.
A roar echoed through the city.
The ground quaked.
The giant mech froze solid.
Then ice cracked. Energy surged out.
But Aurora was already on the airship, flying away.
A few airships followed her.
One came close.
AIR FORCE COMMANDER:"Stand down or we shoot you down."
He fired anyway.
"Oops."
Aurora looked at her device. She put the ship on autopilot.
Then she scavenged. Worked on random junk scrap, broken parts, rusted pieces.
Should work.
She held the air regulator. Current vehicle friendly and fire.
Huge EMP blast.
Knocked down every airship in the area. Even the ones flying in the city.
They fell.
Crashed.
She got away.
A few days passed. She was riding on fumes. Had to make a stop in Africa.
She landed. Wind blew through the nearest city.
She looked around. Took a few things to sell. Checked the nearest place to get a job.
She pulled on a white cowl covered her back, covered her mouth.
Then she entered the Bounty Hunter Guild.
AURORA:"I'd like to register."
CLERK:"Sure. But we need your face and a no criminal record."
AURORA:"There's none. And no to the face. What about just a small job?"
She saw the nearest bounty 15,000 credits.
AURORA:"I'll take this."
CLERK:"But you must sign up."
She left.
